"Visited this divine restaurant about a month ago. We are traveling the world and visiting the Michelin guide recommended restaurants (not stars, too expensive for no reason for our opinion), this restaurant we found on trip advisor and there was no chance to book a table so we just came relatively late and they accepted us with warmth. What can I tell you… It was the best meal in Taormina, maybe in the world. Every dish, every detail, the wine recommendation, the staff, the ambiance, EVERYTHING was just PERFECT. All the michelin guide recommended restaurants we visited in taormina were nothing compared to this meal. The so talented chef came to check on us and it also added to the special experience. Don’t think twice, go to this restaurant and get the best meal of your life guaranteed."

"I rarely gush about anything, let alone a restaurant but I loved this place and so did my wife. We are in our fifties and have had many holidays. We have never went back to a restaurant more than twice on any trip even when it was great. We visited this true gem 5 nights in a row, sampling something different from the menu at each visit. The food is exquisite, the service impeccable and the location, just off the main street was quiet and beautiful. This is a family business and they really take care to look after you. We were sad to leave Taormina and would truly return in order to come here again. We ate a Caprese. Spaghetti al vongole. Swordfish. Sicilian Orange salad. Sea bass. Spaghetti aglio,olio e peperoncino. Polpette with lemon. Lamb shank and potatoes. Raw prawns with Orange (sublime) casata, tiramisu. Prawns in a Marie Rose sauce with orange. Hazelnut semi fredo. Spaghetti with anchovies. Pasta alla Norma and much more. The wine list was varied and sensibly priced. The food was well priced. Superb."

"Visited this restaurant for lunch as they were known to have very good gluten-free pasta and great location for viewing Taormina and Edna, we were not disappointed. In addition the regular pasta was outstanding also. Started with the bruschetta with mozzarella and ham, and the fritto misto di pesce. Moved on to the gluten free pasta Norma, gluten free tagliolini pesto pistacco, tagliolini scampi and the cous, cous di pesce. Finished with the Sicilian dessert. The gluten free pasta was one of the best. The seafood was fresh and well prepared. Service was excellent and on top of a great meal a beautiful view as the restaurant sits high above Taormina. Not to be missed."

"I went to this bar with a friend late in the evening and I must say that the experience was absolutely fantastic. The staff were extremely kind and friendly, making us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked in. But what impressed us the most was the food, which was truly outstanding and of the highest quality. I highly recommend trying their sandwiches, which are simple but delicious. The venue itself is very cute and charming, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. But one of the things that made us appreciate this place even more was the guy behind the bar, always smiling and attentive to our needs. My friend was particularly impressed by his charm and good looks. In summary, this bar is an excellent choice for those who want to spend some time with friends or family, enjoying good food and the relaxing atmosphere of the venue, even late at night. "Great restaurant outpost right outside of Taormina. Despite not being in the city it does get very packed so reservations for dinner are recommended. Outdoor patio is adorable and very romantic with the lights awning, and the view is very great down the hill. You can also watch the cars trying to get into the Taormina parking lot and get jammed up in traffic. There's a small parking lot in front of the restaurant for guests. Staff is extremely friendly, and some of the waitstaff speak English although not all. They did not have an English menu when we came here although we got by with Google translate. The pastas are absolutely delicious and must try. All of the pasta dishes are delicious, we shared quite a few of them. They are generous with the bread on the table, and the wines are very affordably priced by the bottl.e The appetizers especially the seafood options were all fantastic as well. The entrees were less standout and I wouldn't really recommend any of them. We shared a steak which was pretty gray and a bit tough. Prices were not as steep as inside the city. Absolutely worth an outing from Taormina. It's walking distance although you need to go down the highway leading into the parking lot where there isn't a sidewalk."

"We're delighted to have discovered the Re di Bastoni when we visited Taormina May 2022. We loved the Re di Bastoni's Sicilian charm, friendly, cheerful and welcoming staff! This is the ideal place to stop and enjoy an aperatif and one of their light bites. There is a pleasant atmosphere accompanied by Jazz, where you can watch people walk by the bustling street. We enjoyed cold beers and complementary crisps and nuts. We returned several times, and for after dinner drinks to enjoy a Lemoncello. We hope you enjoy Re di Bastoni as much as we did!"

"Trovato per caso, siamo stati attratti dal menù fisso che abbiamo trovato di nostro gradimento, antipastini, risotto di mare, secondo di pesce (trancio), sorbetto. Abbiamo trovato tutto gradevole come gusto e tutto sommato anche come quantita ' (ma non siamo più mangioni come prima). Certo ci ha un po ' sorpreso il fatto che le bevande non fossero incluse, (almeno l 'acqua si poteva inserire) che, col coperto, fanno lievitare il conto. Poca trasparenza dunque, anche se il servizio è stato gentile e rapido ed il locale è semplice e informale stile vecchie trattorie."

"Haphazard service. Four different waiters, 30mins to take order, offered the olive oil half way through first course after the bread was finished. All of that I could accept as early season teething. Then my glass of wine was spilled all over me by the waitress. Not only did no one come to bring a napkin, wipe the table etc, the wine was not refilled and I was still charged. The food is also distinctly average, pasta arrived like warm and had a strange addition of breadcrumbs which does not work at all well in the dish. I expect next Michelin guide this place loses its star as all aspects were nowhere near the required standard. Super disappointing and would not recommend."

"Terrible food here, it literally had to send it back to the kitchen because it was unusable. GF Pasta claims to be homemade, but is 1000% pre-packed (the shape they have for the GF option is impossible to create with gf dough). I wouldn't mind if they told the truth. The Bolognese sauce was so badly smelled and tasted, worse than Chef Boyardee. Absolutely disgusting. My husband has the pizza with mushrooms and became almost sick after eating it from all bad quality masses of the great mozzarella. The dough was almost one inch thick and extremely sweet, the tomato sauce was very tasteless, and the amount of cheese (and I love cheese to max) was ridiculous. It seemed like an overcompensation to mask the terrible taste. Then there were about 5 canned mushrooms upstairs. Absolutely rough. They charge 2 € extra for GF, which is good, but then the only pizza that basically cost us $14 with the cover fee. I haven't paid for the pasta since I sent her back. Friendly staff, but this is a terrible TOURIST TRAP! Please save your money and literally go somewhere else."

"Probably we were just unlucky it was 5 pm staff leaving and new staff arriving took 20 mins to order wine only to be informed that I should order red wine and not white. Asked for ice for the water at the table was told that the water was cold enough main courses eventually arrived and not what I ordered! We had a plane to catch and the replacement was quick but the mood was broken. As I said maybe we were just unlucky but it seems they do take themselves a little too seriously perhaps give the customer what he/she wants."

Composto da : tris di affumicati, primo : pasta con le sarde ottima,(pur avendo ordinato solo menù, dalla cucina ci portano la pasta divisa in due piatti, senza neanche averlo chiesto) secondo: pesce spada grigliato; carbonara gustosissima (non ho potuto fare a meno di assaggiarla) ed piatto di spaghetti al pomodoro (fresco). Alla fine del pranzo dopo aver chiesto il conto, la gentilissima cameriera ci ha offerto il caffè, sottolineando, che potevamo prenderne due senza problemi. Non è così è così scontato mangiare bene con un menù turistico a Taormina. Complimenti, davvero."

"Ristorante di Taormina molto rinomato, a noi ce l'ha consigliato il personale dell'albergo dove eravamo alloggiati. Quando siamo tornati in Hotel lo abbiamo ringraziato di cuore perché abbiamo mangiato benissimo passando una piacevole serata. Il locale è carino e d'estate di mangia all'aperto. "small but well-kept place. they have no panoramic view for which they focus on the kitchen which is tasty even without inventions overwhelming. It is not enough the choice of wines, with more itg and igp than DOC/DOCG, but I took an igp berry based on caratto and really delicious zibibbo, with hints of yellow melon, mimosa, almond bitter. uninformed staff on technical details, but very kind and helpful. In short, suspense aside on the raw, beautiful experience to repeat."

"We booked an Italian/Greek cruise and Taormina was one of our stops during a tour that we booked to hike Mount Etna. Needless to say, by the time we arrived here we were all very hungry. As we walked the beautiful streets full of eclectic shops and cute restaurants, there was a beautiful woman dressed all in white that caught my eye. She was elegant and invited us to dine, so we did. We sat at a small table close enough to people watch, yet far enough to be away from the crowd. My son ordered the fried calamari-the best of the trip if you ask me. His plate was overflowing with deliciously seasoned and perfectly cooked cephalopods. Our friend ordered caprese salad. Tomatoes in Italy are so much more delicious than in the US! And the cheese just melts in your mouth. I ordered pasta with frutti di mare. I could not stop eating! Every piece of seafood was tender and cooked nice. The seasoning was great too. As we were finishing up our hostess came to the table and we all started talking. She was so nice and even gave us tips about where to go during our nice stop of our cruise."

"Un'esperienza culinaria da provare al centro di Taormina. La location è molto bella e affaccia sul corso, dopo aver salito delle scale vicino alla piazza del Duomo. Avendo provato sia pizzeria che ristorante posso dire che le portate sono di assoluta qualità: dall'antipasto al dolce, la qualità è palpabile. Il tempo di attesa è breve anche a sala piena e i prezzi nella media, cosa non da poco vista la posizione centralissima."

"We visited on the first night of our holiday because of the great reviews. We arrived around 5-6pm and it was very quiet. The owner was so lovely. Really friendly and welcoming. He kindly put on the air conditioning for me as I get hot and we were sitting inside! He made us feel comfortable and right at home. He helped us to order and gave recommendations. He also adapted one of our meals to suit one of our requirements. My Dad has not stopped going on about the food at this restaurant. He absolutely loved it. We all agree that it was the nicest that we’ve had in Taormina-and we’ve visited a fair few. It was really affordable and good value too. The prices are not over inflated. We would visit again and highly recommend. We had the parmigiana and lemon and veal meatballs to share and start. Bolognese, parmigiana ravioli, nduja &stracciatella pasta amongst other things. All lovely."

"In una splendida giornata di metà Ottobre ci troviamo nella meravigliosa Taormina invitati a pranzo dai nostri cugini per una festa di compleanno. Dopo una sana e suggestiva passeggiata nel Corso, all'ora di pranzo ci dirigiamo fuori Porta Messina e dopo pochi metri ci troviamo in questo fantastico ristorante. Ci accomodiamo nel bellissimo giardino circondato da tanto verde e pranziamo col seguente menù: antipasto di crudo con carpaccio, risotto alla marinara, mezze maniche con ricciola, filetto di pesce gratinato agli agrumi con insalata mista, vino e torta: che dire, tutto ottimo e con un gusto sublime, preparato con prodotti ottimi e freschi, sicuramente una ottima scorpacciata di pesce!! Sale interne molto belle, locale molto pulito e servizio ottimo con personale gentile e disponibile. Sicuramente consigliato, da non perdere!!!"
