"Abbiamo prenotato on line con un giorno di anticipo e la mattina seguente siamo anche passati personalmente per la conferma della prenotazione. Giunti al locale in perfetto orario, però, il tavolo non era disponibile. Decidiamo di andar via e di non attendere per un posto che doveva essere riservato ma, fuori dal locale, veniamo fermati da un altro cameriere del locale che decide di metterci a disposizione un tavolo, che abbiamo capito essere normalmente destinato ad un gruppo di persone più numeroso. Questo tentativo di appianare la situazione da parte del cameriere é stato però surclassato dalla scortesia del primo cameriere, quello che ci aveva accolto appena arrivati, il quale a voce alta e con tono molto sgarbato ci accusa di non avergli dato il tempo di dire che il tavolo era disponibile e che stavano semplicemente terminando di apparecchiarlo. Peccato però, che questo stesso trattamento sia stato riservato a tutti i clienti giunti dopo di noi con prenotazione, é stato infatti un susseguirsi di lamentele di gente rimasta in piedi ad aspettare sconcertata della mancanza di serietà e professionalità che ci si aspetterebbe a maggior ragione da un ristorante stellato. Passando all 'aspetto culinario, i piatti erano mediocri: la tempura di gamberi e verdure era pesante, le linguine con cozze e vongole erano salatissime e completamente slegate dal condimento, sembrava pasta all 'olio in brodo, mentre la zuppa di pesce, servita ancora fumante, aveva le spine. Abbiamo lasciato intatta la pasta e nessuno si é avvicinato per domandarci se ci fosse qualche problema coi piatti. Con riferimento ai tempi di attesa, abbiamo aspettato il primo per la bellezza di un 'ora e 45 minuti, la gente attorno a noi sbuffava perché aveva fame, un gruppo di turisti esausti, con un bambino di circa tre anni, é andato via prima che si decidessero a portare i piatti, il tutto contornato da una coppia di clienti a fianco a noi che avrà aspettato il tavolo per 45 minuti perché il diktat del locale é far attendere a oltranza piuttosto che concedere un tavolo da quattro a sole due persone, anche se non c 'è più fila fuori dal locale. Concludo dicendo che nonostante fossimo seduti all 'interno abbiamo sofferto parecchio il caldo. Che dire? É stato un sabato sera di passione, organizzazione inefficiente, piatti non sufficienti, e questo succede quando il cliente per certi locali rappresenta solo un portafoglio da cui trarre quanto più vantaggio possibile col minimo sforzo. Evidentemente le difficoltá del lockdown non hanno sensibilizzato nemmeno questa fetta di ristoranti che alla fine risultano 'turistici ' nella peggiore accezione possibile."

Siamo stati a pranzo ieri, era la seconda volta che provavamo questo ristorante. A Taormina è sicuramente uno dei migliori. Ottimo servizio, pesce superlativo, prezzo nella norma per la qualità espressa. Quest'estate ci ritorneremo sicuramente. Il proprietario, Andreas ci ha omaggiato anche di una bottiglia di olio siciliano. Top!

We were absolutely amazed at the quality of the Italian dishes particularly as the chef was Austrian we could have eaten the aubergine and gnocchi pasta all over again it was so delicious with perfect balance of flavours ???? my husband was also blown away by his dish and hands down one of the best Italian meals we’ve had throughout Italy ????

The food and wine were absolutely great. The service also was faultless until we came to pay. We were already planning on leaving a good tip when the waiter suggested to us that if we had enjoyed the evening a cash tip was preferred. We felt mildly uncomfortable with the request for a tip and although we did leave what we planned to it just took the shine off the night View menu

Avrei voluto dare 4*, ma purtroppo si attestano a stento sulle 3. La qualità dei cibi è buona , ma le quantità sono risibili. Un primo di paccheri con soli 6 paccheri è veramente ridicolo...sembrava una degustazione non un primo piatto.. Ottimo il tonno e l'antipasto (ben composto, sufficiente in quantità e ben guarnito). Il servizio... Personale di buona volontà manca di coordinamento e va in crash sotto stress. Inutile scusarsiper questo o quel motivo, intanto risolvete e poi ve la discutate nel back stage. We had a 4 course menu combined with an optional wine tasting menu. The restaurant started us of with a amuse and some of the best bread we've ever been given. The dishes were presented beautifully and tasted superb. The paired wines complimented the food. The explanation with each wine and why it was paired to the dish added value to the experience. Compared to the prices in Taormina (we stayed here 10 days) they are not expensive. If you are in Taormina we recommend this restaurant. It is next to the park only 5 minutes down the stairs of the centre and worth the walk.
