"If I were an overweight, middle-aged millionaire, this is probably the place where I would go and drink Krug and eat caviar with a spoon. However, being totally opposite to that description, I was still able to go along and appreciate the opulent ambience and first-class feast on offer. The atmosphere is grandeous from the moment the doorman opens your car door. Inside, tables are lain around the edge of the room, with an impressive bar as centre-piece, within which a well-stocked seafood platter extends from one end of the bar to the other, and is a sight for sore eyes (and hungry tummies! It is clear that both the staff and the menu have been satisfying customers for years on end....read more"

"Menu and staff both very good, but we were served by a material number of different wait staff, which meant we had to repeat ourselves on more than one occasion. One waiter 's English wasn 't the best and expressed attitude when I suggested we had gone round in a circle when discussing a menu item low point of the evening. The overall level of attention to service and desire to please was very welcome and appreciated. A very good 3 4 hours, even though reception initially stated they wanted the table vacated within two hours. I do NOT appreciate being called within one hour of booking to confirm my reservation. Once booked I either show or give at least 24 hours notice of cancelling absent an event beyond my control. Being asked to call to confirm is a high cost activity."

"It was my second time in the restaurant and I was looking forward to come back as I had such great time the first time around. The decor is thst of a Scottish posh restaurant with mix of modern are and classicall pieces. The atomoshere is great and it's a great place for Sunday brunch or evening drinks. Sunday lunch has a separate menu. The inside scene when performers take place was great and this time it was Jazz inspired : Frank Sinatra and i enjoyed it a bit less than ABBA on my first visit. It might be to the fact that ABBA singers were Intracking with audience more. The food great for me (gnocchi), it was a bit less enjoyable for me partner. He purchased £35 beef roast and though it was good, it was not amazing as one would expect for the price. Also presentation would requite a bit more effort for the price. Service is also great and we'll done to the very attentive staff Wine list is impressive as it choice of whiskey which would satisfy whiskey lover. All I all great expirence with small disapntments."

"Group of 9 on Saturday, Great food, great service, all round great experience, only comments would be truffle chips the best I ever had, but still good. And the accusation could be a bit more widespread, but I know they're working to be happy to come back as soon as it's finished."

"We had a great time at Boisdale on Saturday evening after visiting Winter lights at Canary Wharf. We were a bit early for our booking but manager was very nice and took us downstairs to the bar. Our party included a 4 year old boy, who got a lot of attention from everyone, even from the security guy. Also manager offered him a juice cocktail on the house which was really nice. Food was great! My husband loved his burger and he’s is hard to pleased as he’s making amazing burgers himself. I enjoyed pheasant breast with mash potatoes in wine sauce very much and my mother-in-law loved fish of the day course. Only our 4 year old was an bit off his pizza Margarita as instead of usual red tomato sauce it had green pesto sauce. The waitress was very attentive, helpful and super nice. Overall we had an amazing experience. Thank you!"

"This restaurant is absolutely stunning! The atmosphere is peaceful and the staff are exceptional. We had reservations and were seated promptly. The menu is extensive with plenty of options to satisfy all appetites and a unique selection of beverages (Irish Coffee Martini - delicious!). The dishes were beautifully presented, generous in size, and most importantly, delicious! The staff were attentive and friendly. There was also a fantastic live performance, as Boisdale of Belgravia always has them (check their website for more information). Without drinks, expect to spend around £80-£100 for two people (including a starter, main course, dessert). I would definitely visit again."

"Came here for a pre theatre meal having checked it was on in advance, only to be told after being seated that it wasn't on over Christmas. Strike one. Starters arrived the seafood soup was very tasty, as was the chilli squid although the chillies were really fiery and the squid was a bit dry. Other that a spritz of lime there was no sauce or anything moist to dip in. Could have done with an aioli or lemon mayo on the side. Main courses, prawn burger was very tasty but chips were over salted. No need to salt the chips when there is salt on the table, as there is no way back from oversalination. My partner found the cod very bland alas. Desserts, the apple pie and the marmalade sponges were both very tasty, but for both the custard could have been warmer. Ambience was decent, interesting decor that certainly draws the eye, especially a large Jackson Pollack style canvas on the far wall. Coatroom service was also a positive. Overall, not the worst experience but not the best either."

"The place is so traditionally posh British, it’s exactly what you imagine such a historical place to be. The interior was beautiful. I thought the food was great but not everyone in my party loved it. The chips were delicious. Will say, service wasn’t great; needed to wait a solid chunk to get attention and when we asked about wine selection the server needed to bring another server over who also seemed befuddled. Besides that, I had a joyous time. Me and my family always come here on our trips to London and definitely recommend for a true British experience."

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."

"My most favourite place to dine out at. Definitely the most refined restaurant in the area. Excellent food, and service. Wonderful wines, beers spirits selections and real attention a lovely to detail and lovely tasteful touches to the environment as a whole and in the presentation of of everything. Well done to all the staff. I can’t thank you enough for how special you make my visits to you"

"First time to this place for years. Started badly when the pub claimed not to have received my booking despite having had a confirmation email. We got seated after a while but then had to wait a long time for our order to be taken (and had to go off and hunt for a wine list myself). Ordered wine and tap water but both took a long time and several times looking over at the waitress before they arrived. After waiting nearly an hour for food we were told it would be 6 minutes. It eventually arrived 20 minutes later. Most was OK except for my daughter’s pizza which was completely uncooked dough in the middle. When we sent it back we were told that the oven was the wrong temperature. Another arrived after a while with apologies that it was still uncooked and a suggestion that we cook it at home!"

"Popped in today at 6pm with my dad, now I used to go to this restaurant with my dad, friends and family all the time and the two male waiters /bar tenders were fab. Today I showed up without a booking and there was only...one couple at the table. I asked if they could fit us in bearing in mind it was just about to be 6pm and they said they had no availability bearing in mind the restaurant was empty, they said if I had a reservation which I said I didn’t. Anyway we left, going outside I said to my dad that it was weird they never have treated me that way before so we quickly went online to book a table. What a coincidence there was a table available at 6:15 and 6:30pm for two people. Extremely disappointed and won’t be going back the girls attitudes were abysmal, pitty the waiter guy was at another table I bet he would have sat us down at a table straight away and welcomed us with a friendly smile like he always did. Won’t be going back and very very poor attitude and service from the 3 girls at the entrance and bar. I guess they didn’t fancy working today."

"great place for pre-theater food. so they don't have background music so that you can speak correctly without irritating distraction/inability. beautiful social bollness and pleasant waiting staff who are attentive without being intrusive. good options on fixed price menu, which is very good, but would like to see that this has changed more frequently as it was visiting as with the last one. are very good and tasty. not the same recipes that are usually pampered by Italian chain restaurants."

"The restaurant was a lovely setting, especially on a cold snowy night, with open fires providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. We were particularly drawn to this venue because of its vegan menu, which offers properly nutritious meals, rather than just meat or vegetarian options with the meat/dairy/eggs removed. Overall, we were satisfied with our meals, although disappointed that the advertised vegan dessert (pineapple and peach ravioli) was unavailable. The only alternative dessert offered was vegan ice cream or sorbet, which was not ideal on a snowy winter evening. One minor complaint was that the open fire in the restaurant had gone out completely, despite it being a quiet night with only a few tables occupied. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with room for improvement."

"Tried out this place on a visit to Glasgow with my daughter. It has amazingly friendly staff and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. We both ordered pizza and sadly my daughter's margarita was over cooked as the cheese had started turning brown. My ham pizza was incredibly dry, there was very little cheese and even less tomato sauce. We ate what we could, paid and left. They seem to offer a real variety of Italian dishes and many of the other diners seemed very happy, but our pizza experience was a miss. Would maybe try again but order one of the delicious looking pasta dishes."

"The venue is nice in a lovely rural setting. The food is fine however overpriced. There was noting wrong with my steak and I have been four times as it is on my doorstep however after last weeks visit I would say it was average. This is such a shame as it could be so good. Take a visit to the Deers Hut in Liphook and compare the service. The staff can be polite but they are lacking in knowledge all round. Training is needed in areas of food knowledge and how to speak to customers. You cannot call everyone from a baby to an octogenarian Guys . Waiting staff should be able to tell you what you have and answer and questions. It can be okay and convenient if you live in Beacon Hill but they are missing a trick. In a nut shell the service and produce do not match the price tag."

"This place was absolutely amazing. We came for dinner since it looked very inviting from the outside. The staff was very friendly and sat us immediately. Our server asked if we had been there before and when we said no he guided us through the menu and gave us a lot of recommendations. The food was gorgeously plated and had great flavor. My fiancee has a gluten allergy and they went out of their way to show us all the options that would be good for her. After dinner they invited us to come the next day for afternoon tea and said if we made a reservation they would make all gluten free items for my fiancee. We made the reservation and came back for tea the next day. The sandwiches and scones were extremely fresh and the gluten free items they made my fiancee were amazing! Well done and we will be back next time we come to Windsor!"

"Our experience from start to finish was outstanding. We were warmly welcomed by the staff upon arrival, and it only got better from there. The food was exceptional, accompanied by prompt service from the team, just as we expected. We ended the evening with a few cocktails, and the mojitos we had were among the best we've ever tasted. My wife and I visit Windsor once a year, and we will definitely be returning to Meat in the Parish in the future."

"Langan 's Brasserie is something of a London restaurant legend. Now coming up on its 36th year, it opened as a partnership between Irish entrepreneur Peter Langan and the actor Michael Caine which was enough in itself to draw in the celebrity crowd and Langan 's was one of the places to eat in the eighties. Langan is now dead and Michael Caine sold up, but Langan 's continues on unabashed, its website still claiming that it 'remains one of London 's top eateries to be seen in for Celebrities, business people and Joe public alike '. An almost stubborn unwillingness on the part of Langan 's to change will either endear this restaurant to your heart or ensure a hasty retreat in the other...read more"
