"Called in for dinner after a day out,we were pleasantly greeted by Ellie mae who showed us to free table and promptly took our drinks order,she gave us a menu to choose our main meals.We ordered 2 roast turkey meals which arrived promptly,on the plate there was a good selection of vegetables,ample turkey slices and even a Yorkshire pudding!We also had 2 puddings which were a good size and very tasty. Overall,the service was amazing and represented good value for money.We will definitely be returning,thanks to Ellie mae and tonight’s chef."

"This restaurant has deteriorated significantly since the new owners took over. The serving staff is lazy and clumsy, resulting in slow service. Requesting more bread took 15 minutes, causing the cooked Brie to turn hard. The shared steak was lukewarm and the triple cooked potatoes were hard. Despite being a longtime patron, I will not be returning after my recent disappointing experiences."

"It was disappointing that the otherwise delicious vegan chickpea burger could only be served in a brioche bun that contained both eggs and milk, which meant I couldn't have the sandwich. As a result, I paid the same price for just one burger, without any additional salad and no alternative bread option offered. The waitress mentioned a different type of bread roll, but didn't seem very enthusiastic about me trying it, so I decided to go without. Overall, I found my meal to be pleasant but not particularly great. The other dishes at the restaurant were good, but as a vegan, I felt like I was missing out once again. It would be nice to see more vegan options that cater to different dietary needs."

"We only recently started going to the Piper as it's under new management. The new landlords are lovely. They made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere is great. The food was excellent value for money and plenty of it! We will now be going on a regular basis. I know it had a bad name in the past but I would encourage anyone to give it another try. It's amazing how new management can make such a difference in the space of 3 weeks!"

"to the seen, we in the week before the departure of the chance for a Sunday roast, only to say that the restaurant was fully booked! we thought that would be a good sign, so booked for the next Sunday and welcomed by a friendly staff and great selection of weep always a good start. the menu was limited, perfect for our requirements. the roasts are beautiful and taste like a real home cooked dinner exactly what was necessary. my only critique is the size of the parts that are these on the small side and we are away feeling hungry! they can order additional pages that helps, but this pushes the roasts at £20 per head expensive for what it is and more than the best steak house on the whole way. would come back, but would like to see larger portions, a few more seasoned and happy!"

"we had booked a table of 12 which had been well booked in advance. when we arrived, there was not enough space for our party. after a 10-minute discussion with the waiter and to talk to him with the owner, we were moved to another table with room for us to actually sit comfortably and enjoy a meal. the drink order was quickly taken, the actual place is beautiful and a very beautiful environment. eating was nice, but rather pricy compared to other Thai restaurants I had visited. I had seen the menu before the hand, so I was aware. they brought a drink to the birthday child and sorbet with a glittering candle, in which was a very nice additional note. overall we enjoyed all our nights as soon as the seat question was resolved and recommended to others."

"Were not greeted when we entered, even though someone was behind bar. He didn’t even look at us We Asked about food were told to take any 2 seat table. Not offered menus so got them ourselves, then waitress came over gave us correct menus. Ordered food wine, waitress was very polite friendly. Food came but Steak was very chewy No atmosphere, saw no one else eating, another 2 couples drinking. We were offered sweet menu, were going to ordered but were told at 9pm coffee machine was off so no coffee available. I say told but really we were grunted at! so didn’t have sweet as we wanted it with coffee, not much to expect after eating a meal! Overall very disappointing anniversary dinner. The place was very quiet. Maybe train your staff to be a bit more friendly after all it is the service industry you work in people just expect when spending hard earned cash, a pleasant evening out with a nice meal a friendly welcome. Unfortunately we got none of the above! So Will not return! You would have thought in today’s financial situation these places would be crying out for local support but when you get treated like they can’t be bothered to serve you then they don’t deserve our custom."

"The service is good not polished (they are learning) but willing, helpful and friendly. The food is better than the average restaurant thoughtful menu with unfamiliar combinations served attractively and tasting good. More adventurous than usual (as you might expect from a catering college) and it brings it off. I thought it risky to offer battered fish (such an everyday dish) until I tasted it the batter was extraordinary and the fish right. What did surprise me was that there were only 3 tables occupied at 7pm on a Thursday I would have thought that it would be booked out especially at the prices charged (low side of average). Oh Well, such is Sunderland, and I shall go back regularly."

"My wife and I had a fantastic dinner in the kitchen. I loved the thought that went into the options on the menu; and the execution of the dishes was top notch. In addition, Sarah Daisy gave us a nice personal table service that matched the quality of the food. When we stayed overnight, the next morning we had a breakfast that was not disappointed. A wide selection of options on the cold buffet and the same with the menu where you can order certain dishes. Overall, really happy and would highly recommend. Can't wait to come back and see what options are on the menu when we come back."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"they love the service and the atmosphere in industry. eat big as long as they are not vegetarian, how sad the veggie main for the last months was risotto, which in my opinion can give you a vegetarian after the most boring unimaginative dishes. as there is a vegetarian in our party, they are not to return to frequent basic to have the same laborious walking option. a real scandal as the other courts are really imaginative. a little fantasy in this department would bring us through the door much more often. "What a wonderful time we had. It was my partners birthday which the staff did not until after we arrived but they produced a small cake with a candle. We were offered seconds of beef and Yorkshire puddings and cheese to follow our dessert. The meal was delicious, the staff achieved a perfect balance between attentiveness and not being pushy, the wine was excellent and the surroundings were so comfortable and relaxed. We will definitely be back. Many, many thanks."

"thema is not just what this is about. it has a pharmacy theme. it prompts any amount of discussion, since damien brain has clearly either adapted everything or come with it from scratch-apete, chairs, embroidered cabin seats prescription bar, surgical instruments. in the rule, places like these depend on the themes to go through. this place has an unusual selection of groundless **** marys and bellinis. interestingly, there is also a section on the menu dedicated to Girolles-based oriented. some unusual egg dishes for brunch also offer the run of the mill canard and less run the mill legbar. super delicious everywhere. not bad for what it is. "Mayfair Chippy is on our list of must-dos when we are in London. The food is straightforward, but excellent. Easily the best fish and chips you will ever eat. The beetroot salad is something I am still thinking about. Working with the staff on our reservation was very easy, and they took care of everything. We noticed a very long line of very well-dressed customers out front trying to get in, and were glad we had made reservations well in advance. The service team are delightful and efficient. We had children with us, and the Mayfair Chippy team were super accommodating of their needs. Just a wonderful visit all around."

"Was initially really impressed with this cosy, homely little country pub. Low ceilings, lots of warm wooden finishings and it's vey nook and cranny ish which, for me, is a sign of a place I can spend all day and night in, drinking myself into oblivion. The nature of this visit, however, was more foody centred and it was really lacking. Both of us went for the full rack of BBQ ribs. They were bland and not marinaded in anything as far as I could tell but just came with a pot of BBQ sauce. BUT the BBQ chicken wings as a side dish were mega fabulous and so tasty. Staff were awesome and pulled out every stop to make sure you were happy and fully catered for really lovely and chatty! If there were more foody places in the local area, I would have definitely eaten elsewhere and saved this pub for strictly drinking. Still a great place, though! It just feels that because there is not much competition in the area, they've done the bare minimum with the flavours in the dishes."

"The food was good but……. Service was awful, ordered wine and it was basically dumped at the bottom of our table not even the top taken off ! Pizza was good also the burger, was a chore for the waitress to get us any sauces. When we had finished we were asked can I take your plates, No can I offer you a dessert, coffee nothing.
