"Beautiful interiors, great food menu. Unfortunately in our visit, we didn’t experience a great service level. There were only 3/4 other tables so it was very quiet. The staff didn’t seem very motivated or engaged in providing a good level of service very low energy. One dish was forgotten so one of our group had to wait while we ate our food two sides were also not made and we had to ask for them. I would visit again and hope for a better experience because the place itself is lovely and the food was great. It was really lacking in welcoming and friendly service. On another note, I would like to point out how dangerous it is to serve hot food and drinks when there is a baby in a highchair. On all occasions when food and drink was brought to the table the staff member leant over our baby with hot items we had to move the highchair out of the way. Instead, staff should be trained to give to the adults directly and avoid going over the head of a baby sitting at the end of the table. If an accident should occur due to carelessness like this it would be awful. It’s much easier and safer to give food and drink to the person directly at their seat. Please consider this!"

"Arrived early for 6pm table and entered bar area which was somewhat dissappointing, very shabby and dirty, considered going next door to eat but had a quick look in restaurant and decided against it and so pleased we didnt. Food was fantastic and the service outstanding, particularly from Grace, who overheard me from another table saying that as the sticky toffee pudding wasnt on the menu I wouldnt have a pudding. She came over to me and said she would ask the chef to do me one specially, now that is what I call fantastic service. Overall a lovely evening with friends with fabulous food . Maybe worth looking at the bar area and giving it a bit of a dust and clean. Thank you"

"By far and quite simply one of the best meals I have had in a long time. My family were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in. The waiter was first class in taking our orders and his interaction with our young son. The food quite simply was brilliant, each member of my family said there meal was stunning. The deserts as well were top draw, especially the Vanilla Cheesecake with the Amaretto base was one of the best deserts I have had in a very long time. As we have just moved to the area we shall not only go back for another meal, but also make use of the pub next door as they had a fine selection of Italian beers Adnams ales. Thank you so much. "This restaurant has deteriorated significantly since the new owners took over. The serving staff is lazy and clumsy, resulting in slow service. Requesting more bread took 15 minutes, causing the cooked Brie to turn hard. The shared steak was lukewarm and the triple cooked potatoes were hard. Despite being a longtime patron, I will not be returning after my recent disappointing experiences."

"I walked past this restaurant on a SAT around 5pm, seeing the poster for their custard tarts. I waited it open but they were fully booked on that evening, then I could only get a box of tarts for taking away. They are absolutely beautiful! Making me miss my holidays in Portugal! Finnaly we booked in advance to visit this restaurant. We ordered lots of small dishes as we wanted to try everything. Calm, tiger prawn, squid they are all lovely! Pork lion and ribs are beautiful too! The Game Sausage, we highly recommend. It is so different but the mix flavor just gorgeous! Dessert are great as well, my almond tart lavender ice cream is unforgettable. It is the first time I had a lavender ice cream, definitely a lover! The service is brilliant! Quick service and we are well looked after! I will definitely come back again! But book in advance"

"We were unable to order any food at this restaurant as they had run out. They didn't have chips, but offered us another potato dish instead. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try their burger and mash. The daily special was Shepherd's pie, which was different from what I was anticipating - I was hoping for chicken or steak. I mistakenly assumed it would be a pastry dish. Despite the food shortage, the waitress was pleasant and the service at the bar was quick and efficient, with a friendly bartender."

"to the seen, we in the week before the departure of the chance for a Sunday roast, only to say that the restaurant was fully booked! we thought that would be a good sign, so booked for the next Sunday and welcomed by a friendly staff and great selection of weep always a good start. the menu was limited, perfect for our requirements. the roasts are beautiful and taste like a real home cooked dinner exactly what was necessary. my only critique is the size of the parts that are these on the small side and we are away feeling hungry! they can order additional pages that helps, but this pushes the roasts at £20 per head expensive for what it is and more than the best steak house on the whole way. would come back, but would like to see larger portions, a few more seasoned and happy!"

"It was disappointing that the otherwise delicious vegan chickpea burger could only be served in a brioche bun that contained both eggs and milk, which meant I couldn't have the sandwich. As a result, I paid the same price for just one burger, without any additional salad and no alternative bread option offered. The waitress mentioned a different type of bread roll, but didn't seem very enthusiastic about me trying it, so I decided to go without. Overall, I found my meal to be pleasant but not particularly great. The other dishes at the restaurant were good, but as a vegan, I felt like I was missing out once again. It would be nice to see more vegan options that cater to different dietary needs."

"This was our first visit to TeT, from the moment we were greated on arrival to being the last to leave, everything was spectacular. Beautiful cocktails 2 for £12. We went with two course meal for £17.95. What was a deal ! Delicious foods ...! Certainly will not be the last. We cannot wait to return. The food was absolutely gorgeous could not fault a thing. The place is just “WOW” to see in Wakefield. The staff were all so lovely and attentive. You didn’t feel rushed at all. The ambience is very inviting and friendly. Such a wonderful place …. Already looking for a return visit to try more amazing dishes. Thank you TeT for an unforgettable birthday meal."

"We booked for early Sunday evening for a family members birthday. 6 adults, 2 children. The restaurant was quiet but it still took nearly 15 mins for someone to take our food and drinks order. The drinks then took another 15 mins to arrive. The starters arrived a short while later for those who ordered them and were fine. It took some time for the plates to be removed after we had finished and again, quite a wait for the mains to arrive. these were again, OK, although I was advised the chicken and ham hock pie was very good. 4 of us had roasts beef only option). The meat was somewhat chewy and most of the veggies were hot. The kids meal portions were very good and food hot and tasty. Again, it took ages for the plates to be removed and we had to call someone over to take dessert orders as no one came near. It took nearly 15 mins for 2 tubs of ice cream, 1 triple scoop of ice cream and one warm apple pie and ice cream to arrive. The warm apple pie wasn’t, although again, it was apparently very tasty. Not once, throughout the whole time, did anyone come to check that everything was ok. All in all, a very mediocre and rather disappointing evening."

"Located on the A350, this pub boasts a great location with a spacious car park and ample seating inside. The staff are friendly and attentive. However, we were disappointed with the food we ordered. My wife's mac n cheese was small, cold, and lacking in flavor. My club sandwich was served cold, with barely cooked bacon. Overall, we were unsatisfied with our experience and will not be returning."

"My wife and I had a fantastic dinner in the kitchen. I loved the thought that went into the options on the menu; and the execution of the dishes was top notch. In addition, Sarah Daisy gave us a nice personal table service that matched the quality of the food. When we stayed overnight, the next morning we had a breakfast that was not disappointed. A wide selection of options on the cold buffet and the same with the menu where you can order certain dishes. Overall, really happy and would highly recommend. Can't wait to come back and see what options are on the menu when we come back."

"What a wonderful time we had. It was my partners birthday which the staff did not until after we arrived but they produced a small cake with a candle. We were offered seconds of beef and Yorkshire puddings and cheese to follow our dessert. The meal was delicious, the staff achieved a perfect balance between attentiveness and not being pushy, the wine was excellent and the surroundings were so comfortable and relaxed. We will definitely be back. Many, many thanks."

"Although the food was very good, we were informed when looking at the menu there would be a 30 minute wait. However, it was over 45 minutes from the time we ordered our food. The window corner we sat in was very cold but noticed there was a small fan heater next to the plug socket so we turned it on to take off the chill. Maybe the windows need additional insulation."

"The food was good but……. Service was awful, ordered wine and it was basically dumped at the bottom of our table not even the top taken off ! Pizza was good also the burger, was a chore for the waitress to get us any sauces. When we had finished we were asked can I take your plates, No can I offer you a dessert, coffee nothing. After 20 mins we got up and had to ask for our bill at the main desk, again a chore for the member of staff to have to get our bill.what a shame as it could be a very high rating place to eat."
