"Business lunch for four, recommended by a colleague who loves the place.Location is great and the conservatory style dining area is really nice. Tables are well spaced out and the overall effect is really calm and peaceful.Only one other table being used, so the service was quick as you would expect. Bread and olives to share were delicious, really nice, mains ordered 2 tuna and 2 salads. The tuna steak was exceptional, beautifully cooked, delicious. Everyone in the group well satisfied with their food. They desserts were good, but not up to the standard of the starters. Decent priced bottle of wine, some coffees and everyone was happy. It’s a little lifeless, I’m sure some days it must be busier which would create more of a buzz. Prices aren’t bad, given it’s location, service and food are good. Would definitely go again, and just to make sure we do, the restaurant have a loyalty card scheme which we signed up to. Covers a few different restaurants (including Ginos and Piccolinos) and you get £20 for joining! Not bad"

"Amazing. I recently took my mother to the Crazy Bear on Saturday last week for her birthday surprise. I have to say we both really enjoyed it. I was a lovely girlie evening. On arrival we were met by the hostess, who was all smiles and made us feel so welcome. She promptly took our coats and we were escorted downstairs to the bar for pre-dinner drinks. We sat at the bar where we were instantly handed a drinks menu by a hunky bar tender, named Santi I believe? Ladies, you have to meet this guy, he is gorgeous and makes a mean Martini! After our drinks we were taken upstairs to our table in the restaurant. The food was delicious, we had huge amounts of sushi, which was divine! Much better...read more"

"The food at the restaurant was delicious, but some dishes could have been warmer. The waitress was very friendly. We ordered 10 plates each from the set menu, and the starters were amazing. The mains were less impressive but still tasty. We had made a reservation weeks in advance and confirmed that the restaurant was participating in the government's 'eat out to help out' scheme. However, when we received the bill, the restaurant did not apply the £10 discount per person as promised. When we inquired about this, we were informed that the restaurant had opted out of the scheme, which we were not made aware of. The manager was unhelpful and even rude when we raised our concerns. After some negotiation, he agreed to remove one meal from the bill and waive the service charge to make up for the mistake. The poor management service left us feeling embarrassed and disappointed. We would not have traveled 1.5 hours to Crazy Bear on a Tuesday night if it had not been for the scheme."

"first, charm (or sounds like) seems to be one of these little Thai joints with not too much to expect when it comes to interior, however, step in charm, and they will find it to their feeling and more. it is beautiful in the apartment made, and although it is not really Thai aspect to decor, it is quite modern. they have a full cash at the entrance and it is a pretty sight my friend and I decided to go to our main course immediately as it was quite late. we thank our stars that this place was still open and served lunch at 15 o'clock, we were the only ones in the restaurant. I ordered for the rendang curry in pork (not the usual bark) together with white rice, and my...read more"

"My wife and I have been going to Thai Edge Leeds since we started seeing each other, we decided to go today for our 19th wedding anniversary. Extremely disappointed. No non alcoholic wine or larger, had to wait over half an hour for our starter after we ordered, told this was because they were busy, yet only 21 customers in {ie only a quarter full}, starter mixed tempera vegetables was half onion rings little variety, masamam curry was ok but not as good as previously, pad thai was basically a plate of noodles. Building is now shabby and in need of the tender loving care of a decorator, menu in worse condition than the building."

"had an extremely disappointing visit recently. me and my partner used to love this place! the food is great and the atmosphere is wonderful. however, our server completely ignored my partner when trying to order. they took my order then walked off, completely disregarding my partner. i had to awkwardly call them back over to finish ordering. they then proceeded to not put my partners order in, leaving my partner without food. i had to ask where the dish went then they rudely responded oh . we then had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for my partners food. we were in the restaurant for nearly 2 hours. wish we could have been compensated for our time as the staff offered no apology for this awful experience. its truly a shame as the food here is very tasty but i will not be returning after this."

"we booked a suite and were very happy with our stay! but we wanted to say a very special thank you to ollie the barmann, he really made our stay very special and went beyond both in the evening and beyond. then again on the morning to the breakfast, nothing was too much for him and he served us with a smile and a great sense for humor, he made me the best cocktail I had in my life. and there were a few hahahaha! and even a glitchy heating / gas canister to keep us warm after dinner, again he really made our stay in crazy bear for my partner. thank you!"

"Really disappointing we used to be regulars pre pandemic, first time back and it seems much has changed. Maybe they were having an off night but the tempura was soaked in oil, they did change it but the new dish came back the same, dripping. The rolls were fine but nothing blew us away like it used to. The atmosphere was different, I don’t know if it’s changed ownership but where we used to come out of this place buzzing, it was just flat and the staff just seemed so indifferent. The other thing that really ruined the atmosphere are all the delivery drivers who stand outside impatiently pressing the buzzer and looking through the window the same window we and our friend were seated at. I did food deliveries during the pandemic and was always respectful of diners when in dining came back I always made sure the staff knew I was there then would wait discreetly… Maguro really need to have some system in place so the drivers don’t gang up around the entrances, it completely ruins the experience from the moment you arrive and have to push past the drivers to get into the restaurant! So disappointing and I’m not sure we’d come back to dine in."

"Found Kimchee when looking for a place to have dinner. Had to wait for a table, while waiting had a gin, very tasty. Just missing some seats while we wait for table. Foodwise me and my boyfriend shared vegetable dumplings (very good! , a avocado salad (just ok and the main dish made of rice and beef which was good but could be improved with more flavour (we used the sauce from the dumplings . For dessert we had panacotta which was very enjoyable. Would go back for another meal!"

"After several successful visits over the last year or so, tonight was a disappointment and bordering on poor rather than average, so I am being generous with 3 stars. The food was tasty enough and the wine very drinkable. When we arrived the restaurant was full and despite reserving a table well in advance, we were given what must have been the worst table in the place. If it wasn't for the fact that we were hungry and were on a time limit we would have walked. The table was next to the toilet, opposite a store cupboard, had a view of a rubbish bin and was also next to the washing up room with clattering dishes all night. Service was surly to say the least, one waitress was OK the other was rude, dismissive and clearly didn't want to be there. Sadly, the overall experience tonight means that we won't return and will look next time towards Clapham Junction where we know there are some Thai restaurants that actually want your custom. I seriously considered removing the added automatic 12.5% service charge from the bill but couldn't be bothered with the hassle so just paid up and left. Disappointing in the extreme!"

"for the first time I will visit to thea. eating is amazing, but the service was really slow I had to ask at a series of occasions for drinks, bills etc. they have forgotten that a part of our order has put it simply in our carrying bag. the lighting is too bright, so the whole mood was not very relaxing. also a quantity fly on the wall."

"Waitress are awesome. The food though, not that good. I can feel they use great ingredients. However, the sushis in general were below average, with the seaweed mushy and chewy, the rice undercooked, and the bite size in some preparations too big. The black cod was alright, but for £58 for 200g I would expect it to be amazing. The ambience is gelidy: really quiet and not comfy. They have a great selection of sakes and drinks in general, but they only offer three options for sake by the glass, which I don't think it is the best selection. The crew, again, was the highlight very attentive and friendly, explaining the menu very well."

"We were very impressed with the service, quality of the food and attentiveness of the staff. I hosted my sister's Baby Shower for guests at Thai Corner on October and everyone had a fantastic afternoon. Our waiter went above and beyond for us, offering to help with the decorations and ensuring our glasses were never empty! and his English was excellent! I would definitely host another event there.Thank you to all the staff at Pad ThaiCollette Vigneswaren"

"Delicious food and excellent service. We had starters, main courses and dessert and all were very tasty, well presented, and obviously freshly cooked hot. Our waitresses were lovely; kind and helpful and very knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. Well done The Chequers; we'll be back!"

"for the first time to visit the faintest for eating. we decided to eat here because it had a vegan menu. they have 4 starters and 4 nets, although one of them was from the menu. I chose the Falafel star and the Butternuss Quarry. my partner had prawn cocktail. his cloves came translucent and frozen. the presentation was also not the best, it was somehow thrown on a plate with Mayo-Blobbed on the plate. I enjoyed my Falafel star. I've never served a dish that looked like my curry came. I am surprised that the waiter did not ask to be honest. it was that terrible rice and curry sauce from a microwave meal my plate was full of water and had spun slices on butternuts quash, I thought it was slices melone first! also get up! I hate complaining and I would bite it, though it looks terrible that it was raw. I couldn't even put my fork in the squash. the waiter and the manager were beautiful, very apologetic after I had seen my meal coming. I didn't want anything after that, because there were only superfood salad or tagliatelle to choose from. we didn't have to pay for something nice gestures, but I still wouldn't return for food."

"bianco43 is a bit diamant in the rough. it has the production for a fantastic restaurant, but somehow always falls a bit short. here is the swallow: eating is really delicious, and certainly a step up from their typical pizza expression or zizzis. it takes a little too long to get out and sometimes a few degrees too cold. my friend and I ordered a glass prosecco that came a little warm, instead of replacing it, they offered us a cube. ambiente is beautiful! high ceilings, marble floors and walls, paired with half-rusted wood tables. Although it is really beautiful, it feels easy too. the tables are not high enough for a person to comfortably cross their legs, although minors...read more"

"We visited today and glad we had booked! We received a very warm greeting at the door and were shown to a good sized table with large comfortable chairs. Even though the beamed ceilings are low it did not feel claustrophobic. The decor is tasteful, and everywhere was clean and neat. The tables are not too close to each other and positioned so that it didn’t feel like a canteen. We were greeted warmly by a lady who took our drinks order. These arrived swiftly. Our food order was taken promptly and we were impressed that she checked for any allergies first. We went for the roast with a trio of meats. There were chicken, pork and beef. Each of these were cooked to absolute perfection. Homemade Yorkshires was a welcome change compared to most pubs. Large, crisp and light. The crackling, potatoes, stuffing, and roasted veg were all delicious. They were cooked to perfection and so well seasoned that nothing needed salt or pepper adding. We ordered the trio of veg and potatoes to share, because they sounded so delicious (and they were) but we probably didn’t need to. The BEST Dauphinoise we’ve ever had! Bottomless gravy was another welcome change. Our very friendly, efficient and helpful waitress Aimee checked back on us swiftly and then regularly. Everything was just perfect with the main course, and despite feeling full we forced down the trio of desserts to share, and the too tempting Baileys Chocolate Martini! The ambience was perfect too. No loud music or chairs scraping, due to carpets. All of the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there and our waitress Aimee is a credit to the business. (We were the party with the nippy dog sorry). The plate of treats for our dog was a lovely touch too. We have already booked for the very reasonably priced Christmas meal. If it’s this good on a busy day then we are very confident for our next visit. Highly recommended."

"Knowing we’d be in Coniston on New Year’s Day (2 adults and 2 children) I booked online at the Yewdale in early Dec to make sure we secured a table, anticipating it might be busy. On arrival we were met by a pleasant waiter who showed us to our reserved table in the mostly empty pub. We were slightly disappointed, having booked a table, to be in the bar area next to a big group of young men who were swearing quite a bit and acting generally laddish. Some of the talk was not something I wanted my daughter who is 7, to hear. Thankfully she was entertained by the colouring menu sheet that was kindly supplied. To be honest I thought we be put in the restaurant bit given we’d booked in advance (the bar reserved for walk ins) but it appeared closed until we were leaving about 6.30pm. Anyway we got on with it as we do as we’re not fussy and there was another family with children there too. Our second disappointment was the big sign saying ‘sorry no pizza today’. Pizza was an option for us and something we were looking forward to having visited in the summer, so this was disappointing. I’d have thought if they weren’t offering pizza they should have told us in advance through the booking system or indicated online. This reduced the menu by 50%. We ordered from the main menu and children’s menu. The children’s fish and chips was excellent and I can’t complain, it was one of the best fish I’ve seen in a child’s menu. The adults lasagne was clearly homemade and tasted ok. Better than it looked . But at 15 I’d have expected it to come with chips not just a bit of garlic bread. Or chips should have been an add on for a couple of given the size of it but they were 4.50 on top. All a bit pricey for what it was and the portion size. The biggest disappointment was the fish pie. I was looking forward to haddock, smoked haddock, salmon and prawns as indicated on the menu. Instead I basically got a bit of haddock (well white fish), a load of spinach, and some cheese mash. No sign of the prawns, smoked salmon or haddock. The buttered greens it came with were leek and green beans and filled half the plate! We didn’t stop for dessert and opted for a chocolate bar at the petrol station instead given how disappointed we were with the mains. Beer selection was good and no issues there and staff were pleasant and attentive. We will probably visit again for pizza but the pub food overall was a let down."

"hopefully not for the first time. this place was checked with a native who had heard about the grapes, it was not bad. the robbery in this case was not wrong, with siam on all flats. forget the fact that the city chester is beautiful in itself, the teppanyaki table that we sat was right next to the channel with view of the punts and boats that past the window, as the sun set the price was very reasonable for a very entertaining show with some great tasting eating at the end. due to the location of chesters and not on the maintourist path I had (unreal) assumed that the Teppanyaki cuisine would not be as good as any other I had seen. could not have been...read more"
