"All right: the place is really nice, friendly and helpful staff, we ate very well, meatballs, cannoli, everything. but the absolute protagonists of the dinner were them: the macaroni to the black pig spider and ****. I think this dish fits into my top ten of favorite foods. absolutely nothing to say. exceptional."

"Despite its location in what feels like the Olive Garden's interpretation of authentic Sicily, tourist mecca Taormina, I had a really good experience at Rosmarino. There were no tables available but we were able to put our name in for 45 minutes later during what would typically be peak dinner time, although this is after the cruise ship crowd clears out of town. Luckily, Rosmarino is situated directly across the street from Taormina's public gardens so it was a pleasant wait. A table on the terrace allowed us to continue enjoying the view during dinner. What I ate was excellent. While I was too busy enjoying my meal to make detailed observations, I can wholeheartedly recommend both the caserecce al sugo (fresh handmade pasta in pork ragu) and rotolini alla messinese (beef involtini with cheese and breadcrumb filling)."

"We visited the restaurant for a birthday dinner and it was the most incredible experience as well as absolutely beautiful food. The location and setting is stunning and the staff made us feel like a million dollars! Our server Lucia was particularly amazing so attentive, friendly and really wanted us to have a great time (which we of course did! The food is excellent, and yes it is expensive but completely worth it for a special occasion or treat as it is an great experience as well as a lovely meal."

"Probably we were just unlucky it was 5 pm staff leaving and new staff arriving took 20 mins to order wine only to be informed that I should order red wine and not white. Asked for ice for the water at the table was told that the water was cold enough main courses eventually arrived and not what I ordered! We had a plane to catch and the replacement was quick but the mood was broken. As I said maybe we were just unlucky but it seems they do take themselves a little too seriously perhaps give the customer what he/she wants."

"How this place doesn’t have 17 Michelin stars by now is beyond me. WOW. What an incredible dining experience. I would mention every course on the tasting menu, but the most absolutely noteworthy course was the ravioli that just popped in your mouth. The ravioli studied at Princeton and graduated summa cum laude and practices law in its spare time. Pure excellence. And it’s also worth mentioning the staff, so kind and attentive and they really augmented the dining experience. I’m serious when I say this: I WILL be back someday!!"

"We visited this little restaurant as it always seemed to be busy, which is a good sign. We managed to get a table outside on the steps which was lovely on a hot night. We believe it is run by father and daughter front of house as well as the excellent chefs. We had some help with the menu and the food was well waiting for. Nothing was any trouble and they were very humble and polite, not at all pushy like in some restaurants. Only wish we could have visited again, but it was our last night. Should have tried it earlier on during our 5 night stay and then we would certainly visited again. Wishing them continued good look "

"for me one of the best restaurants on the island. excellent wines that go beyond the production of the island and beyond commercial wines. I served with artisan butter flavored in three different ways really excellent, but the biggest surprise was fish tartare, an unforgettable triptych with citrus sauces of a delicacy never seen before. sweet, a citrus cream on sweet cuscus is a prilibacy that recalls ancient flavors of cinnamon and spices. chocolate caponata absolutely to try. dear but perfectly suited to quality. one of the best dinners in recent years. very kind staff but not sliced, we felt at home."

"This place is absolutely fantastic. Very quaint and the pictures I’ve seen don’t do it justice. Every detail is classy and elegant and yet unpretentious in terms of the decor. The food? Out of this WORLD. Every bite was a dream. It’s a 2 minute walk from Four Seasons. A tiny bit hard to find as Google Maps will take you around it, unfortunately. Just turn left from the hotel entrance exit, and it’s the first alley on the right. Go to end of street and look left and you’ll see it. Staff is lovely, it’s nice and quiet and romantic, very interesting lighting features. Bar is fine, possible some would say it could be expanded a tiny bit but they have the basics all dialed in. You go there for the food. I was shocked that on a Saturday night, it was not jam packed. I attribute that to other places being more over hyped and this place feels like a family restaurant and zero touristy vibe to it. Oozes authenticity. My wife and I are foodies and I’m here to say this restaurant is a MUST for anyone visiting Taormina!!! Feel like a dummy for not taking more photos because I mentioned above, the photos you find on Google are just not adequate at all. The only suggestion I have for management other than expanding the bar a little, is to dim the lighting a tad. But we LOVE Kiste!!!! Would go back again in one minute and tried to talk my wife into a return but our itinerary is packed with other places. I’ll keep trying."

Tariffa 4 stelle e non 5 per servizio: lunghe attese, pochi camerieri per gestire molti tavoli, difficili da attrarre la loro attenzione all'ordine. Abbiamo aspettato oltre 30 minuti per due insalate miste. E oltre 45 per la pizza. Era un martedì a pranzo. Forse quel giorno c'era un problema personale. Non lo so. "Table wasn’t ready. We went to the trouble of visiting in the afternoon to make sure we got a table outside. Everything was organised with directly with them as well as our online booking. They even showed which table it would be. When the 6 of us arrived on time we were made to sit inside . No table inside was set so they scurried around whilst we were made to stand around and, then when seated, someone was smoking in the service room near our table. Food was just ok ."

"My wife and I stopped by here for supper tonight. It is a lovely place just off one of the busy streets. There are several small tables outside and even a nice table for two on the small deck on the second floor. It can get very busy, but there are lots of tables if you want to eat inside. I would suggest making a reservation just to be safe especially if you want the table for two above. We had the Bruschetta and the Buffalo Mozzarella salad delicious and very filling. The staff are very nice and busy. It can get a little hectic for them when everyone is arriving at the same time. If you want to wait, there are a few places in the area to have a seat. Overall, a very nice quiet place. Thanks."

"It's a magical place, found almost by chance. is located at the bottom of a staircase, which walks pleasantly seen the beauty and the view that open as you descend. Once arrived you are in a hidden bay with fishing boats landing. there are places both inside and outside, we ate inside because there was no place outside, but the table was perfect with a beautiful view and a serene atmosphere. the lady in addition to the menu reads us a menu out on the fish of the day, we chose a raw mixture, clams of appetizer and finally grilled. I've been walking in Sicily for 10 days and I've never eaten here, delicious fish. if you have doubts about the freshness of the fish, they will pass you when you see the fishermen sell to the owner on the return from the fishing line. on absolutely honest prices considered everything. for a dinner where I am ocito sazio and satisfied are on 50€ per person."

"In una splendida giornata di metà Ottobre ci troviamo nella meravigliosa Taormina invitati a pranzo dai nostri cugini per una festa di compleanno. Dopo una sana e suggestiva passeggiata nel Corso, all'ora di pranzo ci dirigiamo fuori Porta Messina e dopo pochi metri ci troviamo in questo fantastico ristorante. Ci accomodiamo nel bellissimo giardino circondato da tanto verde e pranziamo col seguente menù: antipasto di crudo con carpaccio, risotto alla marinara, mezze maniche con ricciola, filetto di pesce gratinato agli agrumi con insalata mista, vino e torta: che dire, tutto ottimo e con un gusto sublime, preparato con prodotti ottimi e freschi, sicuramente una ottima scorpacciata di pesce!! Sale interne molto belle, locale molto pulito e servizio ottimo con personale gentile e disponibile. Sicuramente consigliato, da non perdere!!!"

"elegant and cosy place in the centre of tarmina. professional and pleasant staff. offers refined dishes, excellent quality and presented in an exceptional way. excellent wine card. fast and punctual service. But...............something is not on the account, it is not possible that both at our table and next (two foreign lords) have been added to the account unordered items and that clearly we had to remove. This is the reason for this evaluation and the fact that the next evening we have not returned."

"we had a wonderful meal. started with the carbonara, which is a unique opportunity to prepare this dish without olive, and used mangle and kakao powder, simply amazing. the pasta with sparing gel cream (translated) was slowly boiled to perfection. the grilled heavy fish was fresh, simply ready to bring out the natural quality of the fish."

"Had late night cheese and wine here after a long day travelling and exploring. Delighted with the quality of everything we ate and drank. Not a cheap option and no idea what it's like during the day but our experience was positive. The wine list includes high to mid prices. We opted for, Cabernet Franc Collio Conti Formentini, and it was one of the best wines we had in Sicily. I'm considering buying a case online as it's not expensive, although shipping will bump it up a bit! The cheese board was sensational and we loved the peaceful outdoor tables with subtle lighting, lovely."

"The reason I awarded this restaurant 3 stars and not less is because of the superb view. Otherwise it is not worth paying so much for the food on offer. I was not going to write a review because we enjoyed the view and most of the staff were nice and we were given the best table on the terrace we enjoyed the view immensely. However I later decided to write because it is a pity to have such a beautiful location and have such poor quality food on offer. Hopefully the management will address this problem other guests at the same hotel we were staying in, had exactly the same opinion, a sheer waste of money. I also felt a review would be the fair thing to do for fellow travellers who might be saving this dinner as a trip highlight. Above all to be fair to other restaurants throughout Tarormina who with great sacrifice are offering a much better product. Reasons for low rating: 1.We had a short wait, no problem at all, but even the tiniest hole in the wall restaurant offers a glass of prosecco while you wait 2. Pasta course simply disastrous. The plates were brought to our table very soon, which did not bode well. In fact it was bland, all clumped up as if it had been heated in a bowl and dumped onto the plate; I had to losen it up with my fork. And it was so overcooked soft and clumpy, far from al dente! My husband 's had warm and cold pockets, surely heated in a microwave. 3. Main course chateaubriand this was quite ok albeit not the best cut we 've eaten, medium rare as requested, although bleeding onto the plate. But ok. However we were not given a steak knife but a common table knife and, worst of all, the accompanying sauces were taken out of a jar for sure, mayonnaise and sauce tartare and a very watery gravy. Blasphemy for such a restaurant and prices. 4. Dessert nice although I wanted a cannolo and the person taking the order gruffly said 'no cannolo, finished ' while looking elsewhere. 5. A nice touch was a good amount of pastries brought along with the coffee a suspiciously good amount. Well, they all tasted the same, actually not tasting of anything, just bland pastry rosettes. I repeat that this review is meant to sound an alarm, many people we met in Taormina had the same opinion, and it is a pity. I rarely write such reviews in fact."
