"Wir waren schon öfter im Georgs und das Essen war immer sehr gut. Wir essen immer Menü und wir wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Aber der Service war immer mittelmässig bis schlecht.Bei unserem letzten Besuch, zu dem wir ein befreundetes Paar eingeladen hatten, hat der Kellner allerdings den Vogel abgeschossen.Zunächst wurden wir, nachdem wir platziert worden sind, 10 Minuten ignoriert. Dann kam endlich die Karte. Wir wollten alle Menü, kamen aber erst weitere 8 Minuten später dazu, dieses zu bestellen. Das wir auf die Weinkarte wieder länger warten mussten ist wohl kein Wunder. Der Gruß aus der Küche kam jedenfalls, bevor wir etwas zu trinken hatten.Bis zu 1. Gang dauerte es dann eine geschlagene Stunde. Wir waren um 20.10 Uhr da und bekamen unseren ersten Gang um 21.40 Uhr. Und da hatten wir ja noch 4 Gänge vor uns. Leider hatten wir, als der erste Gang kam, nichts mehr zu trinken; die erste Flasche war leer, wir hatten bereits eine neue bestellt, die hatte aber den Weg zum Tisch noch nicht gefunden. Brot mussten wir auch immer wieder anfordern und den Wein haben wir uns immer selbst eingeschenkt. Wir hätten mehr getrunken, wenn wir öfter Weinservice gehabt hätten. So ging es leider weiter bis zum Dessert. Auf die freundliche Kritik meinerseits reagierte der Kellner ausgesprochen schnippisch und unfreundlich. Das geht ja nun überhaupt nicht. Gegen 23.30 Uhr waren wir dann endlich beim Dessert. Insgesamt waren in dem doch recht großen Restaurant nur 8 Tische besetzt und es gab noch eine Kellnerin (die übrigens sehr freundlich war, aber leider andere Tische bediente). Und auch die Chefin ließ sich ab und zu hinter der Theke neben der Thekenkraft blicken.Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut, aber dennoch war es das letzte Mal. Der Service gehört nun mal zu einem gelungenen Essen dazu."

"I had ramen here a few days ago and am happy to report that it was quite alright, with the egg being the stand out. It was cooked the way I like it in this context- not too firm and still ‚glassy‘. Soy based broth;...A bit thin and simple for my liking. tasty though. I also found that there was a bit more broth in the bowl, than there needed to be, so for me the noodle/ broth ratio was a little off. The broth was helped considerably by the spring onions, wich had been sprinkled across generously. Noodles: I found the same strange thing I have found in a couple of other ramen places...the noodles seemed slightly over cooked and slightly undercooked at the same time and did not strike me as particularly fantastic. I asked whether I could have them cooked to quite firm but was told that they use a noodle cooker( which is set a certain way, so no variation was possible. I think the noodles would have been better, had they been a tiny bit more firm. That said; they did taste ok. Chashu: A bit dry, but as this is not uncommon I will not hold it against them. It was tasty and there was a decent amount of it in my bowl. Chilly oil and vinegar was served along the bowl of ramen, which I think is a nice touch and something not uncommon in ramen shops in Japan too. Service was ok. Overall a decent, light bowl, which I enjoyed; Right for the warm weather. Added bonus: They sell Sake, as well as Shochu and Calpis. Food; Service value Would I go I look forward to my next visit here when I think I’ll try their rice curry next time. Question: why does the Tripadvisor evaluation system go from to ‚Very What about ‚Good‘?"

"Vanavond heerlijk gegeten bij Fornelli! Wel een beetje warm met een buitentemperatuur van 26 graden, maar dat is gelijk alle kritiek. De menukaart als leidraad, maar combineren van gerechten bleek geen enkel probleem. Lekkere bistecca, goede frietjes en salade erbij. Daarna een panna cotta met een glaasje limoncello van het huis. "We ordered Cao and took food. The service was very friendly and the food was great! For the first time, a restaurant lovingly arranged the dish in his box. Tastefully it was wonderful, the soup sought was super delicious. After 20 minutes, the food was ready to pick up. Great lobster. We hope that the restaurant will come well through the crisis so that we can also get to the restaurant."

"Wir haben eine Portion Ente Süßsauer mit Reis für 11,50€, Ente mit gebratene Nudeln +extra Krabben 10,50€ und eine Portion Frühlingsrollchen für 3€zum mitnehmen bestellt . Die Rechnung war ca 45€. Auf unsere Nachfrage, warum so teuer ist, hat der Chef uns geantwortet, 13,50€ sei der Aufschlag für Portion Krabben zu dem Entengericht. Es war nicht in Ordnung, vor allem eine Portion Nudeln mit Krabben in dem Laden kostet weniger als der Krabben ohne Beilage. Wir haben nicht mehr diskutiert. Zu Hause stellten wir den Fehler fest. Anstatt eine Portion Frühlingsrollchen haben wir mindestens 6 Portionen bekommen. Also fast 40 Stück . Der Schlussfolgerung ist : im Laden weißt die rechte Hand nicht was die linke Hand macht. Was natürlich traurig ist. Man möchte das bekommen, was man bestellt hat. Und für richtigen Preis. Na ja. Wer da bestellt, versucht möglichst ohne Extras und Sonderwünsche zu bestellen, sonst ist höchstwahrscheinlich wird ihr falsch verstanden. Was Essen selbst betrifft, alles war lecker und gut zubereitet."

"The restaurant specializes in Indian and Italian cuisine and is only a 5-7 minute walk from the Trier train station. This restaurant is in a residential neighborhood. The outdoor garden is very nice to relax in while enjoying a cold beverage during the summer. Unfortunately, the service on the night I stopped in was absolutely the worst. I'm not sure it was the the waiter's fault as he was serving all the tables. I think the restaurant was also short staffed as there seemed to be only 1 person working at the bar and kitchen. So after having 2 drinks and waiting patiently for 90 minutes, I decided to leave. When leaving my pizza was finally ready. I asked to have it put in a take away box. I paid the bill and left. The pepperoni pizza was thin crust and tasted better than expected.Will maybe try again if in Trier and hopefully the service will be much better."

"Schon vor ein paar Jahren aßen wir hier, fühlten uns aber geschmacklich nicht in unseren Südostasienurlaub zurückversetzt.Heute wollten wir es dann doch wieder versuchen, da wir gerne ein Pho und Banh Mi, wie vor ein paar Wochen noch in Vietnam, essen wollten. Als Vegetarier fiel das mit Rindfleischbrühe gemachte Pho raus und das Baguette war leider schon aus. Die Wahl fiel dann auf eine kleine Kokos-Curry Suppe mit Seidentofu für 6,80€. Der Tofu war ok, die Suppe allerdings leider kein Geschmackserlebnis. Sie könnte mehr nach Kokos und Curry schmecken und besser gewürzt sein, sie war leider sehr fad.Man kann gut zu Yong Yong gehen, findet meiner Meinung nach allerdings keine authentische asiatische Küche vor.Der Service war sehr gut und draußen kann man schön in der Neustraße sitzen. Der Laden ist wirklich sehr schön und liebevoll gemacht."

"they have five different vegan burgers that they can update with different options. they offer french french fries with different sauces as well as coleslaw!(. we had the vegan Burger menu and rap beew burger with friends. both were very costly and came to my joy with a traditional bungalow. service was fast and friendly. the prices are a bit high, but quality and service were good, so that is ok. would they visit again. updated by previous review on 2022 09 17"

"I was very positively surprised and totally enthusiastic. I would not have expected the more I was happy, of course, that you can eat so delicious vegetarian in a restaurant that advertises with the steak card as the heart of the restaurant. The food is delicious, the portions gigantic and the price for it is more than fair. It is cozy there and the extremely friendly service ensures that you feel comfortable. Definitely highly recommended."

"The last place I visited before leaving Trier. Got a little hungry and had sometime before the train arrive so I popped into this place. Wonderful little cafe near the train station. Very little space but the service and food will have you coming back. I walked in and some university students were having a debate. I take a seat in the corner and do a little ease dropping. It's nice to watch motivated youth organizing themselves in something positive. I scan over the small menu and decide I needed some warm soup on this very cold night. My company decides on an non alcoholic drink. The thought of leaving kept me from my meal for much of the time. The place is so inviting with the dark wood, comfy environment, and nice music. There's also a patio area, but I avoided that because of all the noise and large amount of smokers. Plus it was cold and the Florida in me couldn't take it. We just sip our drinks and take in the place while I try not to think about leaving the area. But this is the type of place you'd want to come back too. So, genug gejammert. Die leckere Suppe sweet potatoes! (Soup is awesome! Nice and creamy. Seasoned by not spicy. And trinkt dazu unbedingt einen Chai Latte and be thankful for the strong wifi connection. Wifi seems to be a luxury when in the area. This place is suppose to have a great breakfast but I was never here before the sun went down. Bathrooms were covered in graffiti as I'm come to know in some of the more popular areas. Lots of posting about events in the area if you are looking for something to get into but Klasse Service!"

"Essen gehen in Trier das gehört zu den nervigsten und unerfreulichsten Unterfangen. In mehreren Stadtvierteln gibt es kein einziges Restaurant und falls doch, öffnet es abends nicht vor 18 Uhr. Wenn man sich beispielsweise um 18.45 Uhr In Trier Süd vor der Matthiaskirche einfinden muß, um den Zubringerbus zur Philharmonie Luxembourg zu erreichen, findet man weit und breit außer einer Dönerbude (die übrigens eine recht gute Qualität bietet) nur eine Gaststätte, in der man um 17.30 Uhr (außer montags) etwas bekommt: die Pizzeria Toni. Dort habe ich jetzt, das kann ich beschwören, die unterirdischste Fischsuppe meines Lebens serviert bekommen. Heißes Wasser, einige winzige Gemüseschnitze, vier oder fünf Krabben und ein paar mikroskopisch kleine Fetzen Lachs: Das war 's schon. Für ein solches Gebräu auch noch sechs Euro zu verlangen, das muß man sich als Wirt erst einmal trauen. Daß das Ganze dennoch eher mit mangelhaft als mit ungenügend zu bewerten ist, liegt daran, daß es netterweise dazu noch etwas lauwarmes Knoblauchbrot gab. Wer mit einem Restaurantbesuch keine besondere Qualitätserwartung verbindet, mag die Lasagne (mit einer relativ dünnflüssigen, nach billigen Zutaten schmeckenden Bolognese Sauce) vielleicht ganz annehmbar finden. Daß es zum Schluß etwas Alkoholisches auf 's Haus gab, ist sicher eine freundliche Geste, auch wenn ich als Nichtalkoholiker davon nicht profitierte. Am Nachbartisch aßen Gäste verschiedene Pizzen. Sie sahen gut aus (dünner, knuspriger Rand, reichlicher Belag). Vielleicht wäre das einen zweiten Versuch wert? Es muß ja nicht wieder diese Fischsuppe sein."

"So this is a restaurant with a wine shop upstairs. Mainly I was looking for lunch, not even wine tasting. But I knew they had some wine tasting upstairs, so I figured I'd try some to help me decide which wine to get for lunch. The guy upstairs tells me how it works... you can do a guided wine tasting of 6 wines for (I think) 7 EU, or for 15 EU, you get a glass, and try whatever you want, as much as you want. Wait... what???Oh yes, they set you up with a glass, a carafe of water, a bucket, and a variety of bread, and you can stay there till 6PM and try any or all of their 130 wines. For everything that you see on the shelf, there is an open bottle in the refrigerators. They give you some guidance on what kind of wines are located where, and then you have the run of the house! Each wine has an explanation (in German), along with sugar, alcohol, and acidity content. I ordered a light hors d' ovre of vegetables and smoked salmon for 7EU, and soon a massive plate of sauteed and marinated vegetables and lox emerges to accompany the wine tasting. So 3 hours later... I'm doing my best not to look like I'm stumbling out of there after what was intended to be just a quick lunch, thinking how much I'm really starting to like this Deutschland place right about now... But they do a brisk business this way. They're no dummies. Out of 130 wines, there's bound to be something you like. Well more power to them! I wound up getting 4 bottles because there's only so much you can stuff into checked luggage. I saw others getting cases. Wish we had something like this back home!"

"We were staying overnight so decided to have a meal in the restaurant. We were not disappointed! I had mixed salad to start and also tucked in to the fresh crunchy bread and dips which were complimentary. Both were tasty, fresh and delicious. My next...course was chicken schnitzels which came with perfectly cooked vegetables and chips. My husband had the generously proportioned game goulash and red cabbage which also came with vegetables and spicy red cabbage which he also enjoyed enormously. The staff could not have been more courteous and attentive, also providing me with the menu in English so I could perfectly understand the comprehensive menu. Everything was delicious and we would not hesitate to eat here and stay here again."

"Der abend war ok. Das Restaurant ist nur gut wenn man exakt nach ihren Regeln spielt. Tisch war von 6 bis 8 reserviert aös wir 20min später kam wurden uns bei Bestellung gesagt das wir doch auf die vorspeise verzichten sollten da es sonst (1:40h) zeitlich bis 8 nicht hinhaut... Waren bis halb 9 dort die nachreservierung ab 8 wurde nicht wahrgenommen... nach dem essen wurden wir erstmal Geld holen geschickt da Karte nicht akzeptiert wird auch eigentlich ein Unding in einem Restaurant mit durchschnittlich 50-60 Euro Rechnungen zu zweit... Essen war gut. Wurde nur durch die ganzen Unannehmlichkeiten leider geschmälert. Overhyped meiner Meinung nach. Laut kellner ist da einw spezielle garmethode Grund für die langen Wartezeiten. Naja dafür das sie ein Großes bohei um ihre steaks machen war das auch dürftig. Da medium und medium-rare komplett identisch vom garpunkt her waren."

"Went here on a Friday night around Place was packed with students and was very lively. Good selection of drinks at cheap prices (Cuba Libre with stiff measur of rum for When ordering food (cheese bord and focaccia's) we were told that the...waiting time would be one hour, which we accepted. Food indeed arrived afterr an hour but was (despite the fact that it was cheap) not very nice. The focaccia's were doughy with nit enough topping. Nice cellar bar to enjoy a few drinks but I'd advise to spend a few more euros and get some food elsewhere."

"Mal wieder in Trier testeten wir das viel gerühmte "Bagatelle".Nun ja, die Preise stehen auf der Karte, was denn auch viele davon abhielt, hier einzukehren. Aber wir wollten es wissen. Wir bestellten neben einem schönen hervorragenden Wein 1 mal den Hummercocktail aus einem halben Hummer und danach den Seeteufel. Zwischendurch gabs 2 kleine Leckereien aus der Küche ganzedel und sehr wohlschmeckend. Was nicht gefiel, das erste Brotkörbchen (es war wohl noch von gestern übrig) Brot steinhart und absolut nicht fisch. Die weiteren waren dann warm aufgebacken und dementsprechend geniessbar.Der Hummercocktail war schon der Hammer , nur halt viel zu wenig und das für 38 Euchen. Auch der Hauptgang , höchstens 150 gramm Seeteufel mit etwas Spinat und allerdings wohlschmeckendem Pürre für so um die 39 Euchen. Wir zahlten am Schluß 168,00 €. Das ist einfach zuviel. Da gibt es Restaurants, da schmeckt es sogar noch viel besser und das zum Drittel dieses Preises. Nur was für Börsenmilliardäre:-)"

"my friend and I stumbled at this place while I went around the city. when we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the employees in English. our waiter was patient with us and friendly. my friend and I ordered both white wines, although we are not crying, we loved our selection. we also ordered a veggie flammkuchen, which was good."
