"The menus we received were different from what we had seen online, offering quite limited options. Most of us opted for the Sunday roast—two chose beef, two opted for pork loin with crackling and apple sauce, and one went for fish and chips. It took about 20 minutes for someone to come take our orders, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy at the time. While waiting for our food, we ordered another pint and a coke; the pint arrived, but the coke did not.
After a long wait of an hour, our food finally arrived, and I wish I could say it was worth it. The fish and chips were disappointing; the fish was served on a mere 14 tiny chips. The roast beef looked appealing, but it came with an onion chutney that wasn't mentioned on the menu, ruining the meal for one of our party. The pork loin with crackling turned out to be a burnt pork chop, accompanied by three dry, small roast potatoes, a smear of mash, an undercooked long carrot, and some bland greens.
Honestly, it felt like some of the food was frozen, especially the chips. Charging £17 each for the pork roast (essentially a pork chop) and fish with a handful of frozen chips, as well as £18 for the roast beef, felt like a complete rip-off. Safe to say, we won’t be returning."
