"visited here on the 15th august holiday without reservation and for luck received a table directly on the beach. the food and service excellent under consideration how busy it was. we had toels, chicken...brust and the amazing tinten fish boiled in olive oil, what it is a good job the waitress told us it was enough for two, as there is a whole tinted fish with kartoffels served a beautiful olive oil sauce. what is not to love, a good meal, sea view and people watch!"

"Had a funny old meal here, not great but still actually enjoyed the night. Myself and my wife were just looking for an evening meal and as this restaurant seemed to have quite a few happy looking customers in we stopped to try it. Sat at one of the only available tables, which was stripped, but the waitress appeared very quickly, made up the table and took our drinks order. So far so good. Menu was fairly standard but with a few slightly different dishes on which I hadn 't seen in the area. My wife ordered lamb chops and I went for an entrecote steak, cooked medium. Wife 's chops arrived and looked good, but I got a fillet steak instead of the entrecote i had ordered. It was only a few euros more expensive, so I wasn 't too bothered. Thing was, it was cooked blue IE just seared briefly on either side. Now I know people 's idea of a steaks 'doneness ' varies a bit, but there was no version of reality in which this steak could have been considered medium. Thing is, it was a really good piece of meat, very generous size, cut from the middle of the fillet, no sinew or fat and nicely seasoned. I just couldn 't figure out how they thought it was cooked properly. I asked the waitress to take it back to the kitchen and get it cooked a bit more, which she did without issue, in fact she seemed quite genuinely concerned that it wasn 't right for me. It came back a few minutes later, sort of approaching medium rare and I just had it like that. It was actually a really good bit of steak and the chips with it were lovely, proper home made ones. In spite of this issue, I thoroughly enjoyed being in this restaurant, the staff were really pleasant, very friendly and helpful and I would probably give it another try it in the area."

"Went here for lunch today (support local businesses etc). Ordered a salad to start followed by pasta. The rather 'in your face ' waiter asked if we would like to try some calamari with our starter. We refused, saying we only wanted a light lunch. He insisted 'it is only small and very good ' so we said we would try some. Well it was nothing special, quite rubbery in fact, the pasta was also disappointing. We asked for coffee and the bill, that 's when we saw we has been charged 21 € for the calamari!! When I complained the waiter said it 's that price because it is fresh!! Will never eat there again."

"Okay, so this is one of those restaurants without a view. View is of the car park and street. It can't live off the view of the beach or anything scenic. It also doesn't have a great ambiance with outside patio, limited indoor seating in a usually noisy environment with music loud enough to be heard outside. It also has several immediate vicinity competitors. So why four stars?? Pretty simply, basic food, well prepared, competitively priced in a local family run restaurant where the family is on site and makes every effort to make you happy and feel welcome. It does well because it does food well and isn't marking it up because of the view. You're paying for good food pleasantly served. A little broader menu in the peak season would be good, the off season menu is a little better but slows the kitchen down. Summer menu is faster to prepare. Popular with locals."

"Used to love this place. But on last visit they were quite busy. The waiting staff were running around like headless chicken's. They just couldn't cope. But to be honest there were 3 serves and that should have been plenty. My husband and I orded food. His came but mine didn't I waited 10 minutes before I asked where my food was. A few minutes later my food arrived cold. I sent it back. By this time my husband had finished his meal and I was furious. My allegedly warmed food duly arrived at which point I was no longer hungry didn't want to eat alone and was quite upset so I sent it back and we left after paying for 1 meal! Dreadful service."

"This is what Tripadvisor is all about, getting a balanced view, having read all the other reviews, I can only assume that one should not go here for lunch. We popped into this restaurant because we were waiting to meet someone, so just ordered a prawn cocktail each, and a small mixed salad for one. Unfortunately, we do not speak Spanish, however, when the mixed salad arrived, it also had prawns and mayonnaise on, so we asked if they had put our prawn cocktail on the salad, No said the waiter, that is the speciality of the house. The prawns were warm, as though they had been microwaved, then our prawn salad arrived, NOT the pretty prawn salad we were expecting , but just mor of the horrible warm prawns in a glass full of shredded lettuce, and Mari rose sauce poured all over, even dripping down the glass, with no garnish of whole prawns as we were expecting to ANY garnish whatsoever, Just awful, for €12.. if I spoke Spanish I would have explained, but all I could do when the owner looked over and asked in Spanish 'good? I indicated NO, not good at all, we left most of the food, paid and left."

"Hace un año que estuvimos veraneando 15 días, y creo que desayunamos todos los días pan con jamón y tomate “muy bueno”. Las cervezas con la tabla de jamón sobre la hora de comer entraron muy bien, y las copas por la noche muy buenas. El personal muy atento y agradable. Uno no necesita tampoco grandes lujos para estar a gusto en un lugar si te hacen sentirte cómodo Por otro lado, me alegro de la ampliación del negocio y esperamos poder ir pronto para volver a desayunar ese jamón y de paso probar lo nuevo. "Un buen desayuno con tostada clásico : tomate y jamón. Un buen café con leche. Pero hay otros tipos de tostadas. Una gran terraza cubierta. Y con todas medidas de seguridad. La próxima vez, por la tarde, será una buena pizza Ce matin, nous avons mangé un tostada avec tomate et jambon et un bon café au lait. Mais vous pourrez choisir parmi différents types de tostadas. Suivant votre goût. Il y a une belle grande terrasse couverte mais aérée. C'est très agréable. Quartier calme dans Vera et retiré de la circulation. La prochaine fois, nous goûterons la pizza qui paraît-il est excellente."

Solo le pongo un pero y es que el lavado es compartido para hombre y mujeres y está lleno de trastos varios y da muy mala imagen del sitio dada la calidad de la comida. "Saw a post about a Wednesday steak deal and had never been to this bar for a meal. Location : Nice spacious bar with plenty of outside and inside seating. Food: Steak Deal was Wednesday night treat at Frankiesbar Veraplaya. 2 Fillet steaks, hand cut chips and peas (or salad) for €12. That's €6 a meal! At Frankies every Wednesday, fantastic meal. Steak was cooked to perfection and a good size too with salads and chips. Fantastic meal. Service: Excellent service with quick delivery of drinks and food. Value for money, hard to believe you can get this fantastic deal at €6 a meal. Well worth a visit, you wont be disappointed, best to book early as bar was packed out."

"Buen ambiente familiar. Experiencia muy buena, pedimos el menú del día que incluye ensalada, primer plato, segundo plato y postre o café. Pedimos dos menús: La ensalada de tomate con el picadillo, para chuparse los dedos, muy buena 1er plato: Gazpacho. BUENÍSIMO, lo sirven con cebolla y pimientos picados y patatas fritas. Nunca lo habia probado así y me encantó, estaba riquísimo. Pasta a la carbonara. Estupenda! 2o plato: Patatas con huevo y pimientos de padrón. Buenísimos Rabas. Las rabas estaban buenísimas. Si las patatas que le acompañaban no hubiesen sido congeladas, un plato de 10! No tenían postres caseros pero si una amplia variedad de elecciones (contesa, flan, sandía, melón,... . La atención fue estupenda! Buen trato y rapidez entre plato y plato. La comida casera y la atención magnífica, por lo que si pasas por aquí te recomiendo hacer parada. La calidad precio, genial. El precio del menú entre semana fue de 12.50 euros."
