"I went there again, for the first time post Brexit. The booking process was friendly and accurate with a couple of our favourites on Offer. Of the of us five, pre-ordered Liver and Bacon and the others had Steak and Kidney Pudding . We...were cordially greeted, by Dave the ever friendly licensee and Lorna and Karin as the waitress and cook also welcomed us. Drinks were efficiently served Our member had an excellent and generous portion of whitebait and well garnished with salad and bread and butter. It looked great. Our meals all had that Wow' factor. My Steak and Kidney Pudding was absolutely perfect in every respect and the others' Liver and Bacon was a feast. the accompanying dishes of vegetables were delicious and beautifully served. Replete we all had a very good cup of coffee and all had a great meal. We will be back as soon as possible and were made very welcome"

"We arrived early for our reservation, but seated promptly. It was early in the evening so we had the restaurant to ourselves, which was lucky as we have a noisy toddler in tow. The lady serving us, Gemma was very helpful and friendly. We decided to go with the seafood platter to share and other sides. There was a children's menu available, but the boys also enjoy seafood so they had bits from our platter as well as chips and garlic bread. Food was lovely and service was friendly. We did wonder however for a sharing platter for 2, there should have been a crab each. The substituted curried mussels over the anchovies were a little disappointing as we didn't quite enjoy the flavour. Overall it was a lovely experience. "So pleased we found this pub! The service was friendly and welcoming, the garden is well kept and shady in places BUT the food was absolutely delicious!! I really wanted to have a salad but didn't fancy the 2 on the menu as don't eat meat, on request I had a salad with falafel and it was to die for, that dressing of nettles, ginger and lime was so good. My plate was pilled high with a large selection of Very fresh veg and I enjoyed every bite. My husband had fish and he couldn't get it into his month fast enough, it was so good : We enjoyed it so much we went back 2 days later, I had the same salad (of course and my husband tried your sausages which he said were top quality, our Westie had a bit and he also agreed. Well done to you all for such great food, service and atmosphere. We will be back!"

"The restaurant is in an excellent location with a beautiful sea view. The food was amazing, the best Thai cuisine we have had in a long time. My dad even said it was as good as the Thai food he had in Thailand. The Thai curry and rice cost approximately £16, which is great value compared to another seafront restaurant selling fish and chips for £18. They also have a kids menu available. The ambience is lovely, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is very clean and child and dog friendly. We will definitely be returning. Even the coffee and hot chocolate are worth stopping in for."

"Great looking food place with great cider selection.Rhubarb was my favourite.We celebrated my daughters 16th birthday with a selection of starters which were all delicious.Then all had different burgers and fries which were truly scrumptious.The taste of the beef from the burgers was proper lush.Staff were brilliant.Over all extremely lovely.We will be returning customers and highly recommend to friends and family"

"This was my first visit to Brassica Restaurant and after all the recommendations that I had heard I did expect something special. The service was attentive and cannot be faulted. We had dietary restrictions in our party, a Coeliac and a Vegan. The menu choice was interesting but limited. The reality when the food was brought was a disappointment, whilst it was nicely presented it did little to justify the high prices that are charged for the main dishes. Describing a dish as 'Organic Pork Shoulder ' is misleading... This would be better described as 'Thin slices of Organic Shoulder served cold with with tonnato and cornichions. ' Whilst the Steak Eaters were well served with a very nice Organic Angus Steak and The Vegan was served with a Violet Aubergine Caponata, though good, the general feeling was 'Underwhelmed '. The Vegetable sides at £10 per shot were quite literally a small side plate with a pauper 's portion, not sufficient to 'share ' at the table. If you have deep pockets and are prepared to accept pretty standard but adequate fare then this may be the place for you. Perhaps a rethink on side vegetables and menu is in order."

"I’ve been to this establishment twice now. I am new to the area and decided to search for a local Thai near me, I stumbled across The King Thai and I am glad with the decision I made. The service was very good, and the restaurant was immaculately clean. There is a good choice of local drinks on the menu as well as good food options not a huge amount on the menu however to my mind this is a good sign that everything is cooked fresh I must also add they do not cook with any MSG or preservatives. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wether you are looking for a quick lunch or an evening meal. Will definitely be a regular customer here now. "I am so glad I finally managed to visit the Green Yard. I am normally in Bridport too early to come here (they open at 9am) but today I was a bit later. After this experience I am wishing I had stayed in bed a bit longer before all my other trips to Bridport! It is slightly off the beaten track, tucked up a side road from the main street but worth hunting down you will not be disapointed. I had scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and a 'cup ' of tea. You might think scrambled eggs are easy enough to do but so many places overcook them. Not here though; they were beautifully cooked, fresh and hot, slightly soft and a good sized portion too. The portion of bacon was equally generous. As for the 'cup ' of tea, I was presented with a huge teapot complete with at least 3 tea bags. Compare that to the tiny pots or cups you get in most places. The bill was more than reasonable, the staff, especially the owner, are friendly and efficient. I really cannot fault this place. It will be my go to place in Bridport from now on."

"on Wednesday, 6 september, for our high-time celebration. eating was breathtaking. the pizza of my wife was perfect, my in-laws choices of lasagne and seafood pasta the best ever costed and my spaghetti al vongole was also perfection. a fabulous, still underwhelmed little restaurant in dorchester. some of the best Italian cuisine ever. grazzi mille!"

"The owner of this establishment almost ran me over in the street today near my home whilst driving his car at an unacceptable speed. He reversed his car back to shout at me and then did a full loop of the town to come back and shout at me again 5 minutes later whilst I was chatting to a gentleman who had visited Lyme Regis to see the house that he was born in for what he said would be the last time. Someone I had never met before. We shared lovely conversation and hugs. The owner of LBK on his second run up my street swore at me, told me to look at his private number plate on his car (LBK whatever) and told me not to go to the restaurant again. Considering that I live in Lyme Regis and support his business all year, dining there most Sundays (even when the tourists have left for the winter) how dare he behave in such a manner. Not acceptable. I would strongly recommend that nobody frequents LBK if this is the way that one will be treated. I am beyond disgusted."

"We decided to try out another pub, but were disappointed when we were told that they couldn't accommodate us without a reservation. Luckily, we stumbled upon The Giant on our way home and were welcomed warmly. We were able to enjoy a meal and drinks without any hassle. The butchers faggots on the specials menu were delicious, and my scampi was generous and well-prepared, served with homemade chips and a generous portion of tartare sauce. We also tried the local Cerne blonde beer and ended up visiting the brewery tap room to grab some bottles to take home. Overall, it was a lovely experience with two main dishes and a pint and a half costing around £30."

"My son and I had breakfast here one morning on the strength of the good reviews. I’m glad we did, good hearty full English breakfasts, tea and coffee included, sauces help yourself at the table. The waitress was busy serving customers their food as we sat down ...and it took 10 minutes of us waiting for them to tell us that we need to order at the counter. The location is in the middle of an industrial estate. They do takeaway breakfasts too. My son didn’t like the coffee that was included and would have preferred a pancakes option, but apart from that, all good. If I worked in that estate, I would be a regular."

"For birthdays or odd roast meals out we have come here over the years , and when busy ,food.etc and service was good, even recommended place to others etc, but disappointed in our last visit, cold.night , the fire was going but still cold and drafty and radiators not on, they were stone cold ,and although rang up weeks in advance for table where we like ,I feel sure we had been moved on their seating plan , and that there wasn't an error in miscommunication. Us and other customers still eating but staff packing down areas ,blowing candles out and turning off lights which felt rude, at about 8.30ish onwards. From start of visit 7.10pm we arrived ,it felt we were being rushed to order drinks etc , we hadn't even got seated and taken our coats off (slower elderly people in our party admitted but you know ! and get on with our meals promptly, which didn't feel very relaxing, as well as people in our party feeling need to keep coats on. The food was prompt and ok and when asked if food was ok we agreed cause it was but staff must of noted we were cold as was customers. Overall not a great experience when your paying for over hundred pounds plus meal out. Wouldn't normally do a review online like this but we wasn't even asked if we enjoyed our meal and I would of said if we had in person our findings , sorry the sun inn but i was disappointed"
