"The family went to celebrate my grandson’s fifth birthday. After an hour and a half there was no sign of our order. My daughter suggested that they refunded our money and they started making it. I went to the counter after 10 minutes and it was on the side. I asked if that was our order and they said yes. I stood there while the staff photographed their creation and until they actually picked it up. When they started to carry it to the table the happy birthday song began but it lost its impact because the staff took so many selfies with it. It arrived eventually with candles unlit and the waitress gave us a lighter so we could light our own candles. What?? Never again. First and last visit. Nil points. Soggy waffles expensive for what we had"

"my wife and I went to giuseppe's day by a Monday and saw how busy it was to give it to him. we had the most amazing parmigiana to start, absolutely heavenly, followed by a diavolo pizza and spaghetti bolognese. we had not expected that the parts were so big, but we had to finish everything. the pizzateig was perfect and the bolognese sauce so fresh. it's gonna eat here again."

"genuinely love this place with distance the best cocktails in value and the best place for a really good night with friends. Although the last melon is not a restaurant they have really good tapas/bar eating that is perfect when some beer and cocktails. I would recommend one night here. if you want a special place to celebrate a birthday, perfect if you want a few cocktails with an excellent finger food, ideal if you want a great night with mates and drinks and dancing, the best place in value!"

"We love Mexican food and this restaurant did not disappoint. The staff members were really attentive and due to a large party made it known that the food would take a while (which we accepted as we were not in a rush quite happy to sit and chat). When the food arrived it was plentiful, freshly cooked and piping hot and quicker than first predicted. I would recommend you try this restaurant. It also wasn't overly expensive."

"First the dirt and grime issue, it was shocking how dirty the table we were on was, rhw floor, the bar area, the whole place was filthy, serface cleaning is all they seem to do here and the toilets have not been deep cleaned for a very long time by what I saw, I wish I 'd taken my phone in to take photos, even the grout was filthy! Service staff were dismissive and rude, i agree with previous reviewers who said the same one server of food was nice My friend waited for 20 minuets to order food, they ignored him to serve someone who arrived after and then took ages because they were focused on making drinks for others and then when I went up they were trying to find a key to replace a till roll there were 2 staff and 2 tills but they didn 't want to use the other till it seemed they chose to go off to seek a key and clean somthing in the sink rather than serve me! I was even spoken to rudely when I asked if I could make sure my food came the same time as my friend who ordered before me because she assumed I was asking foe her to serve me, ironically then she could serve me from the other till- this should have been done in the first instance!! Then let 's look at the price and food, what a rip off for Iceland quality food! I happily pay for good handmade burgers and hand cut fries and this looked great in presentation but the skin on fries are just oily bag chips with far too much frying, the burger tasted burnt, flavourless, no idea where the blue cheese was, and the lettuce was like cabbage I 've convinced it was !! My friend said the chicken was equally bad and we both felt sad we 'd chosen to go there. The whole meal was over £22 and I ordered £5 onion rings to be served oily mess of onions in over oiled batter. I honestly would have gone to Mcdonalds and been happier! and that 's How bad this was that Mcdonalds is better how this place gets good reviews and a 5 star hygiene rating is beyond me, I 'd never go again and I 'd have asked for a refund but I 'd have had to wait for service for half the evening!"

"Today we went to celebrate my brother's birthday at this restaurant. The service was good, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The roast dinner my brother and I ordered consisted of very small frozen roast potatoes and frozen vegetables that were clearly not fresh. The beef was decent, but nothing special. My partner ordered a mixed grill which was disappointing. The sausages were poor quality and he left most of them, the chicken was dry, and the gammon, egg, and chips were average. The waitresses were friendly, which was the highlight of our experience. I hate to leave a negative review, but I have to be honest. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant."

"The food service at this restaurant is excellent. While it may not be the most upscale establishment in town, I will definitely be returning. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The wine selection was superb and the staff were incredibly friendly."

"My partner's mother visited us, and when her birthday was approaching, we decided to treat her to a special dinner. We chose the Dining Room for its reputation, and we were not disappointed. We had a lovely evening on a Saturday, enjoying the 7-course tasting menu with wine pairings. The dishes were delicious, varied, and beautifully cooked. The staff did a great job explaining the dishes without being overly dramatic. The menu changes regularly, but during our visit, we enjoyed dishes like mackerel with gooseberry sorbet, cheese empanada, monkfish with tomato and peas, lamb with hasselback potatoes, and a refreshing sorbet. The quality of cooking was impressive and compared well with other upscale restaurants offering tasting menus. The portion sizes were generous, and the wine pairings complemented the dishes perfectly. The chef even came out to sing for us, which was a special touch. The total bill for three people, including wine pairings, was £220, which we felt was good value considering the quality of the food and service. We highly recommend The Dining Room for special occasions."

"We were in Worthing for a funeral and so think some misunderstanding about the booking through Open Table might have occurred as they didn't know we were coming. However, we had a lovely table by the lobsters and the service was lovely. We just weren't feeling it at the time due to my worries for the funeral the following day If we returned to Worthing we would definitely bear Enzo's in mind"

"What a real gem of a cafe. Great welcome, super service, excellent food. Our daughters and their husbands and family usually eat with us at home in Worthing before going walkabout...beach, town etc. We decided on Saturday to lunch locally as the weather was poor and so we popped into the Black Cat (passed it almost daily but, being on our doorstep we hadn't neede to use). What a gem! 6 adults and 4 young children easily and quickly seated and given a super choice of meals....all superb. We were absolutely amazed that, after a sensible wait, all 10 meals were served together within a few minutes. As many will be aware, delays are the norm in most places. Everything was spot on and the price was very very reasonable. The ladies also spotted the cherry pie available and have put the Black Cat firmly on their must visit places now. I think our home offering may now be second choice on their next visit! Well done staff."

"Welcoming and nice staff but the food was a real disappointment to the degree I felt a embarrassed taking a date there. Just after our food arrived a baby was crying and vomited at a near by table the smell was off putting to the...point I lost my appetite. The pork dish was so chewy I wanted to spit it out and the sauce was out a jar bland.I'm very familiar with Thai Food having spent months there in my youth so I was not impressed. The Thai I usually go to was closed on Tuesdays so tried here for a change and based the quality and taste of the dishes I ordered I won't ever go back."

"During lunch, the restaurant had few customers, which should have been a warning sign. There was an odd smell in the restaurant. The coffee was decent, but the brie and bacon toasted sandwich on white bread lacked care in presentation. It was served on a plain white plate with stale white tortilla chips, with no garnish. The overall look was unappealing, and the taste was not great. The staff seemed disinterested, playing on their phones instead of attending to customers. The cafe was cold, prompting us to leave early, along with only two other remaining customers. It's no surprise that I won't be returning to this restaurant. I regret not complaining, as my partner asked me not to, but I should have spoken up."

"Staff are friendly and efficient. The menu is varied and the takeaway service is prompt and always hot. Telephone calls are easy to understand and are taken speedily and professionally. Every time we have had a meal from here it has been a pleasure. The food is cooked to perfection. I would recommend this establishment to friends and family. They are closed on a Tuesday. Takeaway is available within 3 miles with £1 charge cash only. Minimum order of takeaways is £10. They cater for vegetarians too. Parking outside is a little hit and miss."

"First time visiting here since new management. Surprised to see it was completely dead inside whilst the cafe next door was packed! The cafe did smell a bit greasy, like they should keep the kitchen door shut and change their oil which was off putting but the staff serving was very friendly and seemed she had more than one job as she was taking calls for the manager as he didn't speak good English, but supplier calls shouldn't really be done in front of customers? Small menu, much smaller than the last menu but the food was good though, very good portion sizes. Drinks were nice but kids milkshakes not so, rltasted bad and overpriced. For £3.50+ per milkshake would have expected more than syrup and milk mixed together, maybe made with ice cream or a topping would suffice? Kids chose 2 of the 6 flavours to be told only 3 were available. Somewhat let down with the place, just a bit of tlc it would be better"
"Bosuns has just reopened after closing in March 2020 due to COVID. It has been completely refurbished. The food remains excellent and the prices are very reasonable. You can have an all day breakfast, a roast with all the trimmings and a dessert. The portions are huge and it is all cooked from fresh, so bear that in mind when ordering. The rice pudding is superb. You can get a class of wine from the micro pub next door. . The ever energetic Jenny and her indefatigable assistant Nicky are excellent."

"Lovely coffee and helpful staff. It opens at 7am so is handy if you are looking for an early morning coffee on your way to work or are just going for a stroll along the prom. It is located just inland at the far end of the Steyne gardens which is a pleasant walk from the beach. During the day it is a venue for sandwiches. There are a few tables outside but it is primarily a takeaway shop."

"I contacted Not So Secret Suppers asking for their supper club dates in November with a view to booking for my 50th birthday and they very kindly offered me their home and expertise for a private dining experience just for me and my guests. We...started cocktails on the beach while we watched the firework display which helped make it a truly memorable evening. My guests had a choice of dishes for each course, and I had great fun choosing the selections from their extensive range. The food was fabulous, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals prepared and served by the singing chef (who even personalised the lyrics of the songs he was singing) and his lovely wife whose specialty dish was the roast potatoes. With my friends surprise invasion to make it a themed dinner party it really was the perfect celebration."

"Found this cafe next door to a couple of other fish and chip shops just over the road from the pier. Sitting outside at a couple of tables under the awnings to escape the wind and rain from another wet October half-term day. My kid said that the child size portion of cod and chips was fantastic. The chips were a nice golden colour, crisp on the outside and soft inside: they were delicious. The plaice tasted fresh, cooked to perfection with light crispy batter. Service was prompt and efficient. Is it the fact that they're so close to two other chippies that they have to up their game? If so, they certainly have. Eating here made me forget about the weather for a while."
