"Unfortunately the choice for decent restaurants is more than limited in Yverdon, but La Pinte is a welcome exception. This place is a rather typical brasserie serving classical dishes that are perfectly prepared. Without reaching star level this is definitely a very serious place using...good and (according to them) mostly local products and delivering consistent quality. Today, we enjoyed perfect burgundy eggs (oeufs en meurette) and excellent scallops in citrus sauce with high quality vegetables (including artichokes hearts). Service is professional and efficient and our only complaint was that the desserts were... too copious ! (but very good). Slightly expensive but worth it, definitely one step above the competition in Yverdon."

"Nice little Thai restaurant in the heart of Yverdon. We ate a small assortment of typical starters there. A peanut sauce to pick you up at night! Very nice to whet the appetite. And then I had Thai basil chicken with sticky rice as I like it. At my request a little spicy and it was perfect! Well presented dish and refined tastes. My wife had the vegetable pad thai which was very good too! Beautiful portions and served with a smile! All with a Singha! It’s reminiscent of vacations in the sun! We will definitely come back here on our next visit to this magnificent city!"

"I know I will regret this review because nobody knows this place, and I really enjoy this situation. You should really pay it some attention next time you are in Yverdon. Csarda is a typical small local restaurant. Nothing makes it stand out, the location...is not really good, it is too close to a main road, but at least parking is usually easy. Even inside, you won 't be impressed by the decoration. it really looks bland and uninteresting. But they have some of the best meat in the whole town and even further than that. They also make very decent pizza and some good pasta or cheese dishes, but the reason why you want to eat there is meat. They make all the known variations of meat fondue, chinese, bourguignonne, bressane, tatar hat, name it ! Most of them are offered on an all you can eat formula, but what makes it really interesting is the sheer quality of the meat. It is gorgeous. They also make excellent skinny fries (matchstick size) with their meat which I always appreciate. The service is very friendly and the prices are fair. So, like I said, I know I will regret shedding some light on this little unknown gem, but go ahead ! try it, if you enjoy meat you will love the place."

"We're from the UK and visiting our son/brother who now lives and works near Vevey. Today was our last day out together and we initially stopped by for a light meal. "Il y a des mois nous étions allés manger en famille. J'avais commandé le pavé de cheval avec sauce morilles et des frites. Quelle déception. Viande mal coupée car dure à couper et beaucoup de mâche donnant l'impression d'avoir un gros caoutchouc dans la bouche. Ensuite, très peu de morilles et surtout coupées très finement. Pour un plat à plus de 40 CHF on s'attend à mieux. J'ai voulu donner une nouvelle chance à cet établissement en août 2023 toujours en famille. Mal m'en a pris. Commande: 2 pizzas pour les enfants, une assiette de salade pour ma femme avec tomme à préciser que la serveuse ne connaissait pas la carte car elle a dû voir sur cette dernière ce que ma femme voulait incroyable et filets de perches avec frites pour moi. Avant cela on a commandé 2 verres de rosés car il faisait chaud. On a bien précisé à la serveuse du rosé frais. Alors commençons les festivités: elle nous amène 2 verres de rosé température ambiante plein été avec températures estivales . Ensuite elle apporte les 2 pizzas à l'allure correcte et juste après les filets de perches avec les frites. Le patron vient pour dire à ma femme qu'il n'avait plus de tomme. Il propose à la place une mozza. Ma femme un peu deçue mais bon OK. Mon assiette comportait des bébés filets de perches max 5cm entassés les uns à côté des autres et les frites en vrac et un récipient avec un tout petit peu de sauce tartare faite sur place ou industrielle seul le patron le sait... . Présentation nulle. La salade verte avec des cernaux de noix et avec la mozza arrive et c'est même pas une buffala! 29 CHF s'il vous plait. On a même pas attendu de demander l'addition que nous nous sommes levés sans demander des cafés pour aller payer directement au bar. On reçoit l'addition et cerise sur la gâteau: les filets de perches annoncés sur la carte 25 CHF n'incluent pas les frites!! Vous avez bien lu. J'ai dû payer un supplément de 6 CHF pour les frites posées en vrac sur mon assiette si si ! Donc 31 CHF pour des minis filets de perches et des frites. De plus la serveuse avait tippé une bouteille d'eau qu'on avait pas commandé! Heureusement que j'ai vérifié le tout. Bref, l'établissement pourrait être génial car le décors est joli mais il est visiblement dirigé par des tenanciers et des employés sans expérience et peut attentifs aux détails qui justement font toute la différence et qui font qu'on y retournera ou pas. Total de l'addition: 115 CHF...montant bien vendu pour la piètre qualité reçue. Petit détail: lorsque nous sommes arrivés, il y a avait déjà des clients sur le départ qui se plaignaient du mauvais service. Si vous y allez c'est à vos risques et périls. En tout cas cet établissement est banni de ma liste de restos."
