"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."

"Wir hatten etwas Kleines zu feiern und haben uns entschlossen dies mit einem schönen Mittagessen zu tun. Für Didi's haben wir uns auf Grund der Bewertungen entschieden und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Didi's ist ein spezielles Restaurant. Es war bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt mit illustren Gästen aus wie ich denke verschiedensten Bevölkerungsschichten. Die Tagesmenükarte mit Suppe oder Salat und einer Auswahl von 7 Hauptgerichten verriet eine sehr kreative Küche. Die Speisen wurden sehr schön präsentiert und schmeckten ausgezeichnet. Unsere Erwartungen wurden voll erfüllt, denn an einem solchen Tag steht ja der Preis nicht im Vordergrund."

"Take away restaurant Imbiss. (Ok, ohne Covid kann man auch da essen, aber es hat nicht sonderlich viel Platz und es ist nicht bedient. Kleine Karte, alles sehr frisch, keine halbfertig Produkte, gute Qualität und ich glaub man schmeckt auch dass da jemand mit viel Leidenschaft kocht. Der Preis ist eher hoch für ein Take Away Resti, aber ich gehe trotzdem sehr gerne hin, wegen dem Essen und der herzlichen Bedingung und ich unterstütze einen kleinen, persönlichen Betrieb. Übrigens gibts auch alles vegan vegetarisch."

"We identified this restaurant of TripAdvisor when visiting our son who lives in Zurich. We contacted the restaurant by email and had a quick response confirming reservation.When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table on the terrace. The staff were very attentive. We had some wonderful prosecco. The menu is not long which for me is always a good sign as they focus on the dishes to make them perfect. They were wonderful! The food is fresh and flavoursome. The wine was delicious too. We come from time to time to visit our son and will definitely visit here again."

"Obwohl es im Restaurant an Ambiente mangelt und es zu laut ist, um sich mit Freunden zu treffen, ist es bei weitem unser Lieblingsasiatisches Restaurant in Zürich. Die ganze Familie liebt es: Das Essen schmeckt authentisch, voller asiatischer Aromen, schöne Portionen. Sie machen jeden Tag die Knochenbrühe von Grund auf neu und ihr „Pho Bo mit Wagyu-Rind“ ist ein wahr gewordener Traum. Absolut lecker sind auch die Frühlings- und Sommerbrötchen sowie die Glasnudelgerichte mit Rindfleisch. "We had a great experience at Tadka restaurant. The food tasted very delicious. We ordered Garlic Corriander Naan, Kashmiri Naan, Butter chicken, Chicken biryani and Butter Chicken. Perfect level of spice and taste. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Little bit pricey. But it was worth the money spent. "first the very positive first: the service is of absolute ease, as genuine and lovable as otherwise really rare in zürich. very flexible, we first didn't know if we wanted to stay out in the hearty little one, when we decided to go inside, that wasn't a problem. the restaurant serves near-east specialties, I recommend the large plates (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) with a rich selection of different ugly. the dips are very fine, the baked various scratches could be a little less fat. Conclusion: 2 of us tasted it, 1 not at all. the pizzas we did not try, logically, but they must be very good, because there was someone constantly coming past and took another one, the pizzaiolo was very busy. to dessert we had a kind of milk pudding with rose water casting and pistachio, highly recommended!"

"Japanisches Essen gilt seit den 80ern zu meinen bevorzugten Speisen. Damals gab es zwei oder drei japanische Restaurants im Raum Zürich und der Begriff „Sushi“ war praktisch unbekannt. Heute sieht alles ganz anders aus, die Anzahl der japanischen Restaurants hat zugenommen und fast jedes asiatische Restaurant oder Take-Away bietet auch fertige Sushi an.Das Yoshino ist mir vor rund 10 Jahren aufgefallen, wo ich mir dann auch oft Sushis gegönnt habe. Neulich war ich nach etwa 3 Jahren wieder einmal abends dort. Der Empfang war nett, aber leider relativ unprofessionell. Das gleiche gilt für den Service während des gesamten Aufenthaltes. Die Kellnerin war immer freundlich, hat sich sehr Mühe gegeben, war aber offenbar stets am Limit, ohne dass der Laden auch nur annähernd ausgebucht war – schade. Ein weiterer Mitarbeiter beobachtete sie zudem die ganze Zeit sehr offensichtlich. Er stand die ganze Zeit an der Theke. Wir sassen im hinteren Teil des Restaurants, welcher für meinen Geschmack zu dunkel und nicht angenehm beleuchtet war. Leider erweckte dies bei mir einen leicht schmuddeligen Eindruck, auch weil man dadurch noch besser hinaus auf einen nicht wirklich schönen Hinterhof blicken konnte. Irgendwie hat mich das schon reichlich enttäuscht, da ich einen viel besseren Eindruck von diesem Restaurant in Erinnerung hatte. Naja, schauen wir mal, wie die per Menü-Nummer bestellten Sushis sein werden. Der „Yoshino Spezial Salat“ für CHF 15.- als Vorspeise ist sehr sehr gut und die Portion für eine Vorspeise relativ gross (Bild). Die Edamame und die Miso-Suppe sind gut – wie überall. Auch die bestellte gemischte Platte „Yoshino’s Choice“ für CHF 47.- ist sehr gut. Die Auswahl an verschiedenen Fischen dürfte jedoch ein wenig üppiger sein (Bild). Die Platte ist sehr appetitlich angerichtet und die ungewöhnlich dicken Sashimi-Scheiben sind genau nach meinem Geschmack. Die bestellten Maki-Rollen sind auch sehr gut. Der Reis ist auch nicht zu fest gepresst. Ein Teil der bestellten Rollen sind jedoch in relativ grosse Stücke gerollt/geschnitten, was den messerlosen Genuss ein wenig trübt. Die Menge ist hier unerwartet gross, aber auch nicht ganz günstig. Was das Essen angeht, kann man alles in Allem sagen, dass es sehr gut war, aber wie unverständlicherweise in Zürich generell völlig überteuert, insbesondere bei dieser kleinen Auswahl von Fischen, die nun wirklich praktisch überall zu „normalen“ Preise erhältlich sind. Die Atmosphäre und der Service haben mich (noch) nicht überzeugt, ich werde daher sicher wieder kommen, aber nicht in den nächsten Wochen und Monaten. Ich erwarte bei diesen Preisen einfach ein wenig mehr Professionalität und mehr Gespür für Details."

"Wir waren zu 3 Abendessen, ich hatte ein Avocadorisotto wovon ich mir beim Italiener mehr versprochen hatte. Es war nicht so cremig wie man es sich bei einen richtigen Italiener wünscht sondern eine kompakte Homogene Masse. Der Service machte auch kein sonderlich Motivierten Eindruck. Die Rechnung gestaltete sich auch kompliziert. Für eine Pizza to Go gut aber mehr auch nicht."

Zuerst wollten wir die Platte für 6 Personen bestellen, aber die freundliche Bedienung wies darauf hin, dass von der Menge her die Version für 4 Personen wohl genügen würde. Fand ich sehr fair - und er schätzte es richtig ein, wie sich zeigte. Wir fanden das Essen superfein! Gut, wir nahmen noch ein Dessert; hier würde ich das libanesche Baklawa empfehlen (es ist weniger süss als das türkische). Getränke gibt es nur ohne Alkohol, für uns tiptop. Wir kommen gerne wieder!"

"I was there on Monday evening around 8:30 p.m. The male service worker was very friendly and there was nothing going on in the store. Normally I would consider the emptiness a bad indicator, but I was extremely hungry and thirsty so I stayed. I ended up ordering a “normal” gyro plate and a large turbine brew. Food and beer were there in no time (but I would have expected that in an empty shop). The gyro plate tasted really, really tasty. Meat not too dry and not too raw. The fries may be slightly oversalted, but that is always very individual. Tzatziki was excellent. All in all, I can highly recommend the Mythos restaurant and would come back. €34 is standard in Zurich and shouldn't surprise anyone."
