"I've been coming to the Alehouse for years and the food is consistently great and the beer selection always catering to everyones taste. Now they also serve brunch on sat/sun, and it's awesome! We had a nice sample of various dishes, all great, the standout really was the chicken and waffle, especially the waffle was very tasty and not dry at all, soft and full of flavour."

"A good pasta restaurant but also other Italian recipes, for example the pinsa. The service was good and quite fast on lunch although unfortunately I was not 100% convinced by the food due to a small problem. I ordered one of the options on the lunch menu, tagliatelle with veal rib sauce. The pasta was good and cooked well, the sauce was also tasty but unfortunately inside the sauce there were pieces of bone and also the pleura (or skin) of the ribs, I didn't like finding it on the plate. To make the dish better they should have removed these parts from the sauce. The restaurant is located a few steps from the polybahn, at the beginning of Niederdorf, a perfect location for visiting the streets of this beautiful historic neighborhood. Inside the place has a pleasant atmosphere."

"Full traces of Pho Na, we were very grateful for the friendly service and tasty dishes we were visiting in this little Vietnamese restaurant near Hotel Montana where we were. On the rainy evening of our visit the restaurant was nearby (too wet to sit outside), it seemed to be full of local/loyaler customers, the staff made us very welcome and quickly found us a table. Staff were entertaining as they interacted with customers, a cheerful atmosphere."

Die Chefin sowie das Personal ist ausserordentlich freundlich und aufmerksam. "We were visiting Zurich for the new years weekend from London and were excited to dine here on a Friday (at 5:45pm, without reservation). We were offered a table for two in the middle of the restaurant on the second floor. We requested if the table could be moved near the windows; but were told unfortunately that they had reservations for the duration of our dinner. We noted that there quite a few tables near the windows still open throughout our dinner and until we left (around 7pm). We ordered a mushroom stroganoff and a potato rosti with grilled vegetables. The rosti was fantastic, so were the choices of cocktails (especially Italian 75). The mushroom stroganoff had too much rice and was overly salty. The waiter was kind enough to remove the charge on one of our drinks due to the disappointing dish. Overall, the restaurant has a fantastic choice of vegetarian food. We probably won’t come back due to the service and the quality of food, compared to the price."

"What a surprise! A friend took me to the restaurant and we enjoyed a great, delicious, vegetarian dinner- menu. All the components were excellent. Starter an little soup, the 7 Mezze and Egyptian Springrolls as Main and diverse Baklava for dessert. The price is very reasonable and the service friendly and obliging."

"Had dinner on this night. The worker was very friendly and helpful. No menus in English but the staff easily helped us with the menu choices in English. My wife had the cheeseburger and it was very good. It was not a frozen piece of meat. It was hand made and grilled well. It was a good size burger and they served small baked potato chunks instead of fries which were a great alternative. I had pasta with a sliced/ground meat tomato based sauce that contained some fresh cherry tomatoes and a few chunks of carrots you could easily pick out if desired. The sauce was much better than the average restaurant meat sauce. The staff brought me some red chili pepper slices to help give the dish some spicy flavor. The pasta was obviously freshly cooked and everything was hot just like the restaurant name suggests! One coke and one water. A small basket of bread. Total 50CHF which is fairly normal for Swiss casual dining. Highly recommended."

"Naturally gluten free. Beautifully friendly place to eat, especially important as a solo traveller. The food was wholesome and soul filling. The cheese was perfectly melted and fantastically creamy. Loved the mash was skin on, and tasted fresh. The whole place has a lovely homemade feel to it, which I didn’t expect at all. Sausages were delicious and slightly smoked. Left feeling full in stomach and soul. Big thank you to the team at Raclette Factory."

"The menu offers classic sports bar dishes: burgers, tarte flambée, fish n chips, ribs... The quality of the food is quite good. My ribs were very tasty. However, I complained that the portion of side dish should be larger. The sweet potato side dish was okay, but I expected something more delicate. The brownie was also super delicious! I would have liked a slightly larger portion. The beer selection is a strength of the restaurant, although I find the prices a bit high. And I wasn't happy with the advice I didn't think my Zwickelbier went well with the ribs. The service was okay. I generally find the prices a bit high, even if the quality is there. I can recommend the restaurant."

"Iceberg salad with pieces of sweetcorn is now an Italian dish? Interesting! Tiramisu tasted like something from Migros. The pizza, just stick to the pizza, still very tasty, but these are not as full as they...less cheese, smaller? I'm not sure, but that's not my number one pizza in Zurich anymore. Service ok, staff friendly."

"We had an enjoyable time having lunch in this restaurant on Saturday afternoon. It was still very crowded at 2 PM but the service was quick. They also put much attention on the decoration of the place, which is very nicely done. The food were superb with a reasonable price. Sure will come back and recommend to many other people!"

"I've visited this place with my friends. We had a daily menu which was great value for the price. The food was delicious and service great. Everybody were nice and friendly and Susanne really went above and beyond for us to have a great time there. The place is charming and authentic, has some spirit of history touch. Definitely one of the highlights of our day in Zurich and I highly recommend to include this restaurant on your day in Zurich!"

Die Karte seit Jahren in etwa die Gleiche, spielt auch keine Rolle, wer hierher kommt, weiss meistens schon vorher was er bestellt.Die Terrine sehr gut und gut bemessen, bei 40.00 pro Portion auch kein Wunder. Das Geschnetzelte und die Leberli mit Rösti wie immer zart, perfekt zubereitet, sogar die Rösti war tadellos. Stroganoff zart, ausgezeichnete Sauce. Mousse au chocolat wohl das Beste in Town.Die Preise im oberen bzw. obersten Bereich, auch beim Wein.Der Service etwas überfordert, Nachschenken nur nach Nachfrage oder gar nicht. Rösti beim zweiten Service etwas lauwarm. Nachservice für die Rösti zum Leberli viel zu spät.Früher wurde den Gästen beim Gehen in den Mantel geholfen. Das ist leider auch aus dem Leistungskatalog gestrichen.Wenn Sie hingehen, unbedingt reserevieren."

Für UBS und Credit Suisse Kunden sowie einige Kantonal Banken wo die Umstellung auf Mastercard Debit Wechseln. Also nur Cash Zahlung trotz Corona usw. Daher ausgewichen auf den Asia Store. Bahnof Oerlikon. Wenn die Zahlungen wider mit VISA und Mastercard Kreditkarten, wo Standart ist, kommen wir wider einkaufen."

"Where do I even start? I am traveling solo through the country and I like to splurge on a nice dinner towards the end of my journey which happens to be Zurich. Read some nice reviews and decided to try this place out. I walked in behind an older couple (maybe 65-70 years old) and they were quickly sat by a male server without asking for a reservation name or checking the tablet for a name. When the sever returned to the front I asked for a table of one and he point to who I assume is Mr. Paulo Alexandre. Mr. Alexandre told me they were fully booked and I cannot dine in unless I have a reservation but I can sit outside at one of the empty tables if I like. So I chose to do that. However the older couple in front of me had no issues getting a table by the server. Now the food was amazing but the service was less then stellar. I don't know why the server (I don't know her name, but she was Italian) treated me so poorly, maybe because I look young and dining alone, so she assumed I can't afford it? I guarantee you I can afford a nice dinner when I want. I asked for a wine list, I never received. I was never informed of the specials, but the table next to me were told the specials. I was only offered one piece of bread while the table next to me were offered more. Whatever the reason was, she shouldn't judge a guest by what they look like (or dressed like) or if they are dining alone. After paying $117 USD (99 Francs) for my one meal and one dessert, I still tipped 15 Francs. As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for 20+ years, I always leave a tip, even if I was treated poorly or like a child. Unfortunately, the amazing food was overshadowed by the terrible service which created an unfavorable atmosphere. Let this be a warning to those who travel/dine solo, that you may not receive the same service as others."

"I entered to the restaurant last week , the big guy , the waiter just look at me unfriendly and stand there , he told me that I was busy to deliver food to different table now and ask me to wait . he was really impolite at that time , at least he should offer me to seat in a table first . I saw there is some empty table and no other client was waiting at that time . I felt that he didn’t want to serve me because I just one person for dinner . I dress very casual, t shirt and short jean. I think the waiter , the big guy really don’t Respect tourist . This is the bad dinner experience I never had in Europe !"

"Take Out bestellt, dieselben Menus wie immer. Schon öfters ist die sehr variable Qualität aufgefallen mal ist es sehr lecker, mal scheinen andere Köche am werk zu sein. Diesmal war es sehr schlecht. das Laab glich einer wässrigen Suppe und essentielle Ingredienzen fehlten. das curry hatte kein Gemüse drin. als wir anriefen meldete sich zuerst eine Dame, dann der Koch, der lediglich meinte: das stimme nicht, er habe es selbst zubereitet. Keine Einsicht gar nix. Das ist sehr schade, zumal wir langjährige treue Kunden sind, die öfters schon mal über qualitative Unterschiede hinweg geschaut haben"

"This was hands down by far the best meal we had during our time in Zurich. We spent the weekend with friends and locals and came for dinner here on Saturday night. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and the staff and felt looked...after from the very first second. The menu is seasonal and filled with local produce which speaks for its quality and freshness. Amongst the 7 of us we indulged in fabulous beef tartar (which was incredible and way better than the one we had the night before at Loft 5), tender wild boar, the mussels, the vegetarian risotto and vegan butternut squash. Being out with a mix of carnivores and vegans can be tricky these days but this restaurant truly caters well to both tastes and maintains the same quality and care in each and every dish they bring to the table. Everything is prepared fresh and with an eye for detail. With the owner being a sommelier himself we left the wine selection to him which turned out to be the perfect pairing for our meal. We finished off with a true swiss classic chestnut Vermicelle and also tried an amazing unalcoholic Seedlip Gin Tonic. Wirtschaft zur Au still manages to maintain incredible value for money with its portions not only delicious but also very generous. It is a restaurant which is perfect for a dinner with good friends, a romantic date or a business lunch as the beautiful interior and atmosphere invites for great conversation. Needless to say that we will be back on our next trip and cannot wait to see what will be on the menu!"

"I am not vegetarian and enjoyed this place. The food was diverse and chouce plentiful. It was easy to discover what you wanted easy to pay, great to ensure there is no wasye as you oay for the weight of your food. The decision around your beverage was easy as it was done after you choose your meal so you can easily pair the wine with the meal choice. The staff were great, pleasant, and attentive to the customers. I saw one helping an older couple with their plates from their seats. It was above and beyond and just showed the fabulous service they give. The area was clean the tables basic but there were plenty of seats to choose where to sit. I enjoyed this. The food was great, I didn't really have a full choice for the sweets (desserts) but apart from that I couldn't fault it. It was good."

"This fancy restaurant in the center of Zurich didn 't convince me entirely and I think there are various areas for improvement as you 'll read below. Service was at least mostly polite. I ordered Zürcher geschnetzeltes with rösti, which is a typical local dish. They used an enormous amount of salt and the meat was cut slightly too thick in my view: I 'd expect more for the prices they charge. Also, when I asked for an IPA, I got strangely smiled at and asked and what would that be? ... I mean, it 's ok to not have IPA to sell, but you should at least know what it is if you 're in this business since it 's nothing ultra special. The place is only a couple of minutes away from Paradeplatz, so perfect location. The decor inside is ok, nothing spectacular. For some reason it gets super loud when the restaurant is busy, reducing a little the quality of the atmosphere."
