"It is really good that they offer so many clearly labelled vegan options. However, it’s a bummer that the online menu does not show if it’s vegan or not, just the menu in the restaurant. Be cautious that you may get a non-vegan chutney that wasn’t mentioned in the menu for the starters. We ordered two vegan starters and got a non-vegan sauce (containing yoghurt) that we luckily suspected before trying it. The menu doesn’t mention that you get sauces to the starters and it would be great if you were asked as guest if you want that or at least informed that one contains yoghurt. That wasn’t a great experience. The online menu mentions chutneys but if I recall correctly the one in the restaurant did not. And at least both starters were labelled vegan. The portions are quite big for the price and you get a fancy tea candle powered tish grill to keep the food warm while eating. The nearby road makes the outdoor seating unpleasant. Wir waren das erste mal im Schiffli. Die Bediehnung war sehr freundlich. Allen in allem mussten wir etwas lange warten aber das Essen und Ambiente war hervorragend! Nur empfehlenswert.

There was no labelling on the lunch buffet and in the end only the dal was vegan (other vegetarian curries were cream-based). Maybe the à la carte menu is good for veganising dishes, but I really can’t recommend the lunch buffet.

Optisch erinnert das Restaurant an ein rustikales Bootshaus, innen ist es gemütlich und die Tische sind mit Tischdecken versehen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist sehr sehr lecker! Empfehlenswert - das vegetarische Gericht Malai Kofta, dem sogar Fleischliebhaber nicht widerstehen könnenLage - nahe Bahnhof und Schiffsanlegestelle RichterswilHauptspeisen - ca. 19 - 25 CHFDas Essen geht uns nicht mehr aus dem Kopf seitdem wir dort waren. Holen unser Lieblingsgericht auch oft als Take away.

Ich war das zweite Mal im Namaste. Das erste Mal über Mittag. Viele schwärmten vom Mittagsbuffet . Als wir kamen um 12.20 Uhr, waren die Salatschüsseln alle fast leer , es gab dann noch Linsensuppe, aber die schmeckte uns gar nicht. Als Haupgang gab es Fisch, Poulet und Vegi mit Reis. Die Speisen , vorallem das Fleisch vom Chickencurry war minderwertig, sehr schlechte Qualität. Es wurde auch kaum aufgefühlt und so mussten wir immer warten bis es Nachschub gab. Der Service war aber sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Wir waren 3 Ehepaare die sich zum Essen getroffen haben. Die Telefonische Reservation ear nicht ganz einfach, da nicht alle Mitarbeiter sich gut auf Deutsch verständigen können. Der erste Eindruck überaus positiv. Der Empfehlung jeder ein anderes Gericht dazu 3 verschiedene Reis und verschiedenes Naan sind wir gefolgt. Pappadums / Avocadosalat aus gezeichnet. Wir fanden fast alle Gerichte sehr gut. Einzig das Lammgericht war sehr sehr zäh. Sehr gut die Tandoori Gerichte aber auch für Vehis ansprechendes Linsengericht oder auch das Chili Paneer für die dies scharf mögen. Für die die kaum scharf Essen war das Tikka Marsala sehr gut. Dazu ein indisches Kingfischer. Ein rundum gelungener Abend....
