"Attended a pre wedding party yesterday evening on August hosted by the Nandas (please check with the host and don’t deny the fact that this party ever happened or I did not attend like you do in response to your other reviews). To start with, horribly slow starter service. For a table service one would expect either the food to be replenished quickly or at least bought out when asked. Here you get a response, “wait, it’s being cooked.” No please, no sorry, in short, no manners. Here’s the real problem though. A restaurant of this size says, we have run out of Chicken Nuggets for kids. Who doesn’t have spare nuggets in the kitchen? And if not, should you not offer more chips instead? Keeping kids hungry is just not done. The mains were just okay quality/quantity wise but nowhere near their restaurant food. We have been to the restaurant many times and hence our expectations were a bit high, probably different chefs for restaurant and parties or whatever. But no complaints in general on mains and desserts. The final nail in the coffin. After dancing, I go to the bar asking for WATER. The very NICE lady says, “we don’t have any water jugs back here.” I ask for TAP WATER instead. She goes, “We don’t have any glasses.” I can clearly see at least crates of nice clean glasses behind the bar. Tired and really thirsty, I go to the other side near the kitchen end asking a waiter for water. Her response is even more alarming. NO WATER IN THE KITCHEN. Even my year old would not buy this answer. I really demand an explanation on the reason for not providing the most basic necessity to your guests. It was at night and did not want to raise it back then at the venue but without any explanation to this, I doubt anyone reading this review will ever want to host a party with Venue unless THE HOSTS ARE READY TO TAKE ABOUT BOTTLES OF LITRE WATER WITH THEM. In a nutshell, Venue did all they could to ruin the evening for the lovely couple. For anyone thinking to host an event here in the future, I am more than happy to come forward and share my experience in more details. YES, there was more than this but not trivial."

"Very surprised to read some of the reviews from visitors at TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge as we have always had excellent service and the food is some of the best Indian dishes we have had.We were seated inside the TigerBay Shisha Lounge however as this has open sides all round and even an open roof in warmer days or nights, we felt completely safe and COVID protected. The evening was very busy but had a great atmosphere and we didn’t feel cramped or as if we were too near to other customers. The music especially with the appearance of DJ Shraii gives something a little bit extra special than other venues. All members of staff wore face masks and we noticed they politely reminded any customers to use their masks when not seated at their tables. The food is always hot and you can hear the sizzle plates sizzling as the food is served. Portions are really generous and we usually find it hard choosing from all the delicious dishes on offer. The mocktails are especially good and the fruity versions topped with fresh and sweet fruit. We have not tried the Shisha varieties however talking to people we met last week, they said the choices are good and flavours excellent quality. So even without Shisha being available at the moment under Covid rules, TigerBay Shisha Lounge is a great venue. We are looking forward to spending many more summer evenings especially in the garden area which is beautifully filled with gorgeous plants and makes you feel you are on holiday and not just on an evening out.Keep doing what you do so well TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge."

"The food at this restaurant is made fresh to order. The Dal could use a bit more salt, but it was still good when paired with rice. The standout aspect of this place is the excellent service. The host even went above and beyond to create a new mocktail for a colleague who did not like the Virgin Colada. The food may take a bit longer to be served since it is made to order, but it is definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant for its exceptional service and fresh, made-to-order food."

"very nice restaurant. love the interiors. beautiful looking place with a bar. and apparently they soon open a Sheesha lounge and look forward to it! had a great experience here. Eat: we started with Indian ingwer and Masala tea, which was really good, and pappadum. for the main course we ordered chicken tikka masala and a fried rice, dhaba chicken and pilaureis and Karahi sprout with plain naan. I must say we were not disappointed by any of the dishes. the food was delicious and portioned enough to fill it completely. price: a little expensive, too little for us students, but I would say it worth it. service: the staff is very polite and beautiful! very happy with the service. definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves or wants to try good Indian food!"

"To my surprise, many restaurants are closed on Sunday evening in London. Every time I looked up a vegan restaurant on Happy Cow, it turned out it was closed. Since it was late and I was hungry, I had no other option than to select a vegetarian restaurant close by. 1947 Restaurant and Bar is both an Indian and Italian restaurant. The entire menu is vegetarian, however only around 20% is vegan. Many more meals can be made vegan, but so many of them had cheese listed as an ingredient that I didn 't want to run the risk. What if there 's an error in communication between the waitress and the kitchen? Or what if the chef accidentally adds cheese out of habit? I had lots of time to make up my mind, because even though the restaurant was very quiet it took a long time until the waitress came to take my order. I selected vegan biryani because I like biryani and because I 've tried it at so many restaurants that it 's easy to compare. It took a long time for the biryani to be prepared, but then it was served beautifully and smelled divine (as it should be). However, compared to other restaurants it 's a rather simple biryani. It has only one kind of rice (it is often served with both white and yellow rice) and only a few vegetables. There was no tofu, mushroom, potato, no nuts or any protein source. Also, the yoghurt was missing (which is used to extinguish the fire caused by the spices). The portion was generous and the taste was good. Although it was mentioned on the menu, 1947 Restaurant and Bar adds a 12.5% service tax. Why don 't restaurants just increase all prices on the menu instead of giving the customers a nasty surprise at the end?"

"The food at this restaurant is incredibly delicious and the staff are very attentive. However, the decor is lacking in coziness and inspiration. The atmosphere feels a bit sterile, like a dull dentist's waiting room. During my visit in the middle of winter, I felt a constant draft from either the air conditioning or the door. Be sure to choose your table and seating carefully to ensure a pleasant dining experience."

"We were a large group, who had booked weeks in advance. The food was good, but the service was incredibly slow. It took an hour to receive our starters after ordering, and another hour and a half after ordering mains (why weren't both orders taken at the same time? to receive our mains. It was a Saturday early evening. Our party arrived at 1730 and left at 2115. Way too long to wait as we had somewhere else to go to afterwards. We felt that the staff were just trying to encourage us to buy more drinks whilst we waited. Nothing wrong with attentive staff, but nearly 4 hours to finish our meal was unacceptable. The restaurant was not very busy, and to see other tables eat and leave before us was frustrating. The food was good, staff polite and friendly, but the experience let down by the slow service. First time Id been there and I will not return or recommend."

"Not the best experience. No parking to start with. Inconsiderate drivers. Service was overly keen. Kept interrupting our conversation various times asking is everything okay constantly throughout the experience. Manager offered as we walked in some water and poppadoms in a complimentary way. Later to find out he charged us a ridiculous price. Food was very overpriced for the quality. The variety was very limit and the staff didn’t now about the menu when asked questions. The manager was sneaky and added service charge also without asking us or telling. Place is small. Go owl and pussycat if you want good Indian food at a fraction of the price. I wouldn’t recommend unless you into a show room restaurant rather the quality and service. Thumbs down for me over hyped."

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aamchi Mumbai, and I must say that it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. This restaurant consistently delivers amazing food, impeccable service, and undoubtedly provides the best dining experience every time. The exceptional food alone does not guarantee a memorable dining experience. What truly sets Aamachi Mumbai apart is their unparalleled service. The staff members are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring that guests have a remarkable time. From the moment I stepped foot inside the restaurant, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine desire to make my visit exceptional . The level of professionalism combined with their friendly and welcoming demeanor created an atmosphere that made me feel valued as a customer. No matter how many times I've visited, I have always been treated to the same outstanding service and exceptional food. This level of consistency speaks volumes about the dedication and commitment of the restaurant's team. In conclusion, Aamchi india is a Resturant where amazing food, outstanding service, and an unforgettable experience come together seamlessly. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a night out with loved ones, or simply seeking a memorable dining experience, Aamchi Mumbai is the place to be. "Good food, authentic taste, fantastic place to eat out with family and friends. I had a great experience however what did bother me though was the manager at woodlands on Sunday 17th. He was so rude to the girl serving us and to this lady who was walking aided by her assistant and a stick. She was trying to go to the restroom and cause woodlands Marylebone doesn't have a wheelchair access toilet she had to climb a few stairs! With much difficulty due to her condition she was trying to do this and her assistant and grandchild were helping. This manager in a slightly loud stern tone asked them to close the toilet door, asked her assistant grandchild to leave the area. I was appalled at...read more"

"The menu at The Mumbai Mansion is not your standard Indian fare. Scallops, Monkfish, Venison all feature in the starter selections. There is also a number of mains cooked on the grill, including lobster, lamb and duck. Whilst most of these don’t sound like staples of Indian cooking, they are still cooked with the same range of spices and sauces which provides a unique take on the dish, but with that unmistakable Indian spice and flavour. There is also a selection of more traditional curries such as Lamb Rogan Josh, Butter Chicken and Chicken Karahi. I ended up going for the Scallops and Mussels to start which was served with a Nilghiri sauce. Miss Edinburger went for the Venison Boti...read more"

"I used to go to this restaurant all the time 15 years ago and convinced many friends to make the trip out here. After ages I thought I would try this place again in August as I was in the area shopping for Asian wedding accessories. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I went into the bathroom to wash my hands prior to eating and ordering and I was just disgusted by the smell. It was like a toilet in India that rarely (if ever gets cleaned . I was so disgusted by the smell just in the sink area I didn't even want to think about how clean the actual toilets were or the kitchen. I also don't know if the staff used the same toilets but if they do I have major concerns about the hygiene levels in this place. I walked out before ordering anything (thank God! . I will never return here again."

"We recently dined at Rustam Restaurant, and it was a delightful experience that I highly recommend to anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine. Ambiance: Rustam Restaurant boasts a charming interior with a blend of traditional Indian decor and modern comfort. The warm lighting and tasteful decor create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. It’s an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a fun night out with friends and family. Service: The service at Rustam Restaurant was exceptional. The staff were courteous, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. They provided excellent recommendations and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. Food: The food at Rustam Restaurant was the highlight of our evening. We began with a mixed appetizer platter that included samosas, pakoras, and paneer tikka. Each item was bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced. For the main course, we enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and lamb biryani. The chicken tikka masala had a rich, creamy sauce with tender chicken pieces that were cooked to perfection. The lamb biryani was fragrant and flavorful, with each grain of rice perfectly cooked and infused with spices. We also tried the dal makhani, which was smooth, creamy, and wonderfully spiced, and the garlic naan, which was freshly baked and wonderfully soft. Dessert: For dessert, we had the classic gulab jamun and the saffron-infused rasmalai. The gulab jamun was soft and syrupy, just the way it should be, and the rasmalai was light and delicately flavored, providing a perfect end to our meal. Overall: Rustam Restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious, authentic Indian food and top-notch service. Whether you are a fan of Indian cuisine or new to it, Rustam Restaurant is sure to impress. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding food, excellent service, and warm, inviting atmosphere."

"The best balti in all of Great Britain. We have been coming here for 15 years, and last night I brought my girlfriend along. We had a fantastic time, the staff were as welcoming and friendly as ever. The food was delicious and very affordable. We ordered katlama, chicken pakora, chicken balti, huh jalfrezi, two naans, and a side of rice, all of which were excellent. For dessert, we had gul road jamun and chocolate barfi. The total bill came to £27, what a great deal!"

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"We were seated promptly, but had to wait for our menus to arrive. After ordering, there was a significant wait for our food and our appetizers arrived at the same time as our main course, resulting in a table full of cold food. Overall, we were not very impressed with the service. The food itself was good, but it would have been better as an appetizer before our main meal. Unfortunately, by the time our main course arrived, it was already cold."
