"In terms of quality, one of the better places for fondue in Zurich in winter. When entire companies are present, the noise level is immense. The ambience is well done, and the fireplace in the middle of the “tent” is also nice. The prices are, as usual for Zurich, high. Compared to recent years, the service is no longer at the appealing level it once was, although there are exceptions. The toilets aren't that great either. What's nice, however, is the extra wardrobe so that your coat doesn't smell like cheese. The outdoor area is also nice with fire bowls and the wooden, covered, colorfully lit terrace. Ms. Gerold's concept in the warm season is simple and effective: self-service for food and drinks and seating on several levels. The area is beautifully designed and they have managed to ensure that it is still “in” even after years. The prices are typical for Zurich and the food is rather simple. A place to be, talk and enjoy."

"My mother and I went here for lunch during a day trip in Zurich and we were so happy with it! We took the buffet option and everything was absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly and very friendly. The cook even made us vegan... Momos, as soon as we mentioned, we were vegan and brought a whole record of it. They were delicious. They went out to make our experience great in their restaurant and we appreciate the effort and care. It's too bad that we don't live in Zurich, but I will definitely go back there when I'm in town."

"Today was our first day in Zurich and we decided to look for somewhere that had swiss cuisine and Google did not let us down. I had the Mushroom soup for starter and my partner had Pork belly, every single bite brought us so much happiness. For mains I had the Veal steak and my partner had the Sirloin, both were cooked to perfection!! We took the waiters Recommendation on wine which he selected a Swiss merlot which was a medium price but also paired very well with the meal. The only thing I wish I'd done differently was to remember the waiters name as he made the experience. He knew exactly what he was serving, what to recommend and from table to table his ability to switch between languages was amazing. To top it all off he gave us recommendations of sights to see will in switzerland. I cannot thank him enough. As I can't remember his name I hope that the gentleman from Lucerne area gets the recognition he deserves. Thank you again!!"

"this restaurant is really one of the best in zürich! eating was simply amazing, there are many small tellers that they can take and my suggestion is to take some and then share them. the waiter was very friendly and helpful, he explained how. the portions were and gave us suggestions on what to order. the restaurant itself is also very nice, the right mix between cozy and beautiful. we will definitely come back!"

"Mein Vater hat mir schon einige Jahre von diesem Restaurant vorgeschwärmt.... endlich haben wir es für einen Lunch nach Zürich ins Casa Ferlin geschafft. Er wusste ja, was uns erwartet, ich nicht ganz. Mir gefiel dieses etwas altertümliche, aber sehr stilvolle Ambiente sehr gut. Das ganze Personal war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.Wir haben uns kurzum für das Menü entschieden und jeder einzelne Gang war einfach top. Dennoch haben die legendären hausgemachten Raviolis herausgestochen. Unglaublich wie dieser hauchdünne Teig und die geschmacksvolle Fleischfüllung harmoniert haben ein Gedicht! Es wurde uns auch sehr feiner und passender Wein dazu empfohlen. Wenn man allenfalls etwas bemängeln möchte, ist es die Grösse des Desserts. Dieses war zwar super fein, aber etwas grosszügig bemessen. Aber man findet bekanntlich immer ein Haar in der Suppe, wenn man danach sucht.Ich hoffe, irgendwann mal wieder dieses tolle Lokal besuchen zu können."

"Wir waren gestern zum ersten Mal im Hopfenau und begeistert vom tollen Essen! Die klare, minimalistische Einrichtung wirkt auf den ersten Blick etwas nüchtern, doch kaum wird man am Eingang begrüsst, fühlt man sich sofort wohl und willkommen.Die Karte ist klein, aber wirklich fein. Tolle, klassische Gerichte mit einem kleinen Twist. Der Service ist freundlich, unkompliziert und kompetent. Das Essen: himmlisch! Einfach wunderbar und lecker.Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Abend in diesem schönen Quartierrestaurant."

"Also. .. Ziemlich gut. Habe die 4 Gänge Degustationsmenü gehabt. Portionen sind average. Spargelsalat: 3 Stücke Spargeln einfach gekocht mit Parmesan darauf. Das ist keine Salat. Ravioli= super zubereitet aber praktisch super minimum Füllung. Entenleber ist zu klein aber ernsthaft gesagt weltklasse zubereitet. Da sage ich wirklich Hut ab (als Entenleber Fan) Hauptgang= Rindsfilet wirklich perfekt gemacht. Rotweinsauce ist super tolll. Ich war wegen Pak Choi skeptisch aber es ist trotzdem gut angekommen. Dessert: Einfach, da hätte nichts schief gehen könnenPersonal: Grundsätzlich nett aber überfordert. Es hat kein Sommelier gegeben. Wenn man die Weinkarte und die Preise anschaut, dann würde den Konzept sich Sommelier wünschen. Brutal Minuszeichen: Essen wurde serviert wenn wir noch nicht beim Tisch waren.Anderes: Kein Amuse Bouche.Zusammengefasst: alles vorhanden um ein tolles fine-dining Restaurant zu werden aber die tolle Tulpendekoration und kleinere Portionen VS hohe Preisen werden euch nicht dazu führen. FYI schmeisse die Plastikblumen im Brasserie morgen weg. Das ist lächerlich. Tiefste Niveau"

"We were a group of 13 people looking for a good place for dinner after a long day of travel, first time in Zurich. We went for a walk at the city and stopped here.We wanted to taste local food and were glad to find a space here for our party.Food and wine were very good. We had several plates (since we were 13), including the cordon blue with rosti; you should give it a try. The restaurant has a big salon, so there is plenty of space if you didn't have reservations. Anyway, check first since it can get busy during high season.The best was our waitress, she was very friendly and took good care of us. He spoke several languages including ours (spanish). The surprise was that after dinner she ask us to sing the current music hit at Puerto Rico, which she heard there at Zurich. We had a great meal, Great Service, great first day at Zurich."

"Für Fleischliebhaber ist dies ein sehr geeigneter Ort!Das beste Stück ist wohl Hohrücken, Zwar hat es etwas mehr Fett als das Entrecote, ist aber vom Geschmack absolut vorzüglich! Als Beilage gab es leckere Kartoffelwedges.Das Entrecote ist gut (beim letzten Mal leider etwas zäh) und die Antipasti sind auch sehr fein. Die Karte ist klein, aber wer Fleisch liebt, braucht auch nicht viel mehr :-)Der Service ist freundlich und speditiv, könnte aber noch hi und da - bei dem Preisniveau - etwas perfekter und herzlicher sein. Was mir am Gaucho auch sehr gefällt ist die gediegene Atmosphäre! Das Dekor ist sehr gut getroffen und man kann ein gutes Stück Fleisch mit feinem Wein in einem relaxten, gemütlichen, schmucken Restaurant geniessen.Für mich sind Die Preise allerdings an der oberen Grenze. Für einen speziellen Abend ist es aber immer eine Freude im Gaucho zu sein."

"The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Food is delicious. Specifically, the Lamb-haxe was incredibly tender and flavorful. Service is friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend for a group or even a date night. Most recently had the 4 course 'Surprise Menu ' and was not disappointed! Again returned for lunch and was very happy with the options, execution and quality of the food. Still recommended!"

"A typical Swiss restaurant in the countryside with a relaxing atmosphere. There are many tables in the garden that are set under beautiful old trees and they also provide a cute little playground. So sweet. The service was friendly but a little bit inexperienced. The menu has a crazy lot of choices of Cordon Bleu and nice wines that are inexpensive. We had steak tartare as a starter. It was a little bit dry but seasoned very nicely. I had the Cordon Bleu Mex (spicy dish) in Lady size (250g). I mostly have spicy dishes in Thailand and I was surprised that this tasted real spicy. The meat was also really good and the fries were so crispy! Mmm~super! I would love to go again anytime."

"Excellent quality at a very competitive price. It 's a real Japanese restaurant, not the usual fake Chinese all you can eat . The place is not very large but still welcoming and easily accessible. The menu is very rich in gastronomic options, well presented and with good quality ingredients. The staff is friendly, also speaks English, and is very efficient. The open kitchen. The parking is not very easy to find as it is on a main road. Definitely coming back. Highly recommended."

"The food is good to very good. However, the lunch menu is very small. If I had known this beforehand, I would have taken the soup and salad. Dessert is very Italian and not for every taste. "Erstes Wow: Das angenehm warme und vor allem knuspriges Tomaten Brot.Passte perfekt zur gut belegter und ausgereifter Walliser Platte.Ein wahrlich schöner Auftakt.Wir probuerten wieder einmal das Tinus Güggeli originell präsentiert.War äusserst saftig und vor allem blieb dies heiss bis zum Verzehr.Eine sanft pikante Würzung die Freude bereitete.Auch das Trüffel Fondue (im Einer Caquelon Corona gerecht ; nicht überwürzt sodass man den würzigen Käse wie auch feinster Trüffelgeschmack bestens im Gaumen spürte.Eine herausragende Küchenleistung.Ein weiteres Wow und Bravo geht an die im 3.Lehrjahr Lernende Livia.Mit viel Fachwissen und wirklich umsorgenden Service, besser geht hier wohl kaum.Und alles wie gewohnt vom wachenden Auge nah und fern von Serviceleiterin Denise Adam.Dies alles führte wiederum zu einem Top Abend.Herzlichen Dank.Kommen gerne wieder in dieses gastfreundliche Haus."

The location over the roofs of zürich also contributes to this.The restaurant presents itself in the elegance with a great backing, with pleasantly generous table spacings.The journey through the kitchen of the in the truest sense of the excellent chef heiko low begins with a surprise. the sweetness to the refreshment of the hands is “served” as a court – only after the addition of liquid – just as with a sosse – it unfolds in the deep plateer. exciting and exceptional.The composition of the tasting menu changes depending on the season and so we were surprised that the menu was no longer the same as a day before on the website. this is only mentioned at the rande – this certainly has not been a break in the overall experience – because this was at the expected high level.The courses are presented as lovingly created miniatures and well explained by the very friendly staff. tastefully all creations were excellent and balanced in themselves as well as in succession, no dish very sour or very sharp or otherwise extreme. I would like to make the question open, however, whether a more concise, at least once, could not have been enough to be advantageous.The tasteful properties of the products used, in spite of some minimal use (dripping), harmonized very well. the pairing of the very matching weine with always unusually different character was perfect. everything was beautifully presented. you don't forget that fast.It was an extraordinary evening for us. thanks to the chef, his brigarde and the friendly service. very relaxing also the informal yet high-class environment and atmosphere. no question of one of the best restaurants in zürich – if not the best. For special occasions you can also see the very respectable obulus that you have to be prepared for such an experience."
