"Discretely located in Zurich 's lovely Old Town, Lumiere is quite small and easy to miss when your attention is taken by the more prominent restaurants around the area. It clearly has its own 'fan club ', however, because on a Tuesday night, it soon became full...after its 6 pm opening. I guess that reservations are usually essential. The food is the key because while the menu prices seemed high at first sight, the reason was immediately obvious. Do not be deceived by the online menu into thinking that it is too expensive for simple fare. Lumiere does not serve plain French food. Each course that my group had was complex, time consuming to prepare and absolutely delicious. My Caesar Salad was truly excellent, with each component carefully matched to the others. A great start to an excellent three course dinner. I rarely eat three courses, so this was a testament to what followed my salad. I ordered entrecote steak Café de Paris and pommes allumettes no additional vegetables included. This seemingly simple (on paper) dish came with a large plate of elegant, grease free allumettes that needed no additions except a little salt. The steak itself, described as a simple dish, was served with a complex sauce that nicely complimented the high quality beef. Normally, this is where I stop, but the dessert menu, if as good as the first two courses, promised to be a delight. It did not over promise. I ended a wonderful dinner with a warm chocolate cake and sauce, served with an ice cream, that was 'close your eyes and just enjoy ' good. The wine prices, like the food, seemed over priced on paper but we had the basic red at CHF52 which complimented the main course. I guess that the other listed wines would be as high quality as the food. While this restaurant is close to 'food heaven ', one issue deserved perhaps a half point deduction the noise level. It is a small and popular place, packed full on a Tuesday night, so conversation was loud. There seemed to be no attempt to mitigate this with sound deadening materials. I understand that it is essential to preserve the old French bistro style, but perhaps some concealed padding under the tables would help with echo from the wooden floor. If you come prepared for this and do not expect hushed conversation, this will not be a problem. This was my first visit, but it will not be my last."

"My mother and I went here for lunch during a day trip in Zurich and we were so happy with it! We took the buffet option and everything was absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly and very friendly. The cook even made us vegan... Momos, as soon as we mentioned, we were vegan and brought a whole record of it. They were delicious. They went out to make our experience great in their restaurant and we appreciate the effort and care. It's too bad that we don't live in Zurich, but I will definitely go back there when I'm in town."

Im Sommer kann man auch im bezaubernden Garten essen drinnen ist das Ambiente aber auch toll. Service ist immer top sehr freundlich und aufgestellt. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet, immer und alles ! "Mit einer Freundin genehmigten wir uns in der Bar zuerst einen Apéro anschliessend im Restaurant unser Dinner. Der Empfang war freundlich. Die Barista bediente uns ebenfalls freundlich. War aber nicht sehr flexibel für den Drink meiner Freundin. Diese hat leider eine Lactoseintolleranz- und Histaminallergie. Gerne hätte sie einen Mocktail (ohne Alkohol) getrunken. Ausser Sanbitter konnte die Barista nichts anderes anbieten. Mein Negroni Autentico war aber tadellos. An unserem Tisch wurden wir speditiv und freundlich bedient. Fast zu speditive, wir hätten zwischen unseren Gänge gerne eine längere Pause gehabt. Das Essen war gut aber es war nicht das Highlight. Auf den Dessert haben wir verzichtet weil wir unseren Hunger gestillt hatten. Fazit; für einen Apéro ist die Location sehr gut. Für ein schnelles Dinner kann ich das Restaurant ebenfalls entfesseln. Möchte man aber etwas länger sitzen und miteinander diskutieren ist die Background-Musik zu laut. Meine Begleitung und ich mussten im Laufe des Abends immer lauter miteinander sprechen, da wir uns fast nicht mehr verstanden. Für ein romantisches u/o gediegenes Essen kann ich die Location nicht unbedingt empfehlen. Preisleistung ist das Essen im oberen Preissegment. Das Personal war freundlich und speditiv. Werde sicher mal wieder vorbeikommen."

"First of all this restaurant is in the heart of Zurich, 2 minutes walk from the central station. For being pakistani myself, this is the best food I have ever tasted. Its variety of food, menu changes every day so you get to eat all kind of different food. From delicious vegetables and dhaal to meat and chicken curries. The price is very affordable too!! Needless to say we had a fab nightwe started with an aperol outside around some open fires (and in our coast of course as winter is certainly here) two Rudolf jumpered servers kept our glasses continuously full as we nibbled a bit and chatted Moving in the restaurant looked great, set just for us with a few long tables and lots of decorations, and of course the wine started flowing as soon as we got inNow if anyone knows this restaurant, it isn't exactly massive and the kitchen is tiny, so when miracles come out of the kitchen its great to see - and last night they didFrom the tiny kitchen came our Italian antipasti platter with all sorts to choose from, a leafy salad with a really amazing dressing was next followed by a super fresh home made Ravioli with Truffle cream - oh yum. Main course, a difficult task to do for 30 people - a stunning, tender juicy tasty serving of beef, it was absolutely delicious, the sause irresistible and served with a beautifully al dente Risotto, so then of course dessert (and more wines) Tiramisu, Panacotta and Grappa sorbet, coffee, etcthe venue was really cozy, chatty and just a happy place to bethe photos (sorry when I'd taken them, all the food had gone) say it allthanks to the team of Bottega Berta for a really super evening, Simply Delicious and great fun"

"Mein Vater hat mir schon einige Jahre von diesem Restaurant vorgeschwärmt.... endlich haben wir es für einen Lunch nach Zürich ins Casa Ferlin geschafft. Er wusste ja, was uns erwartet, ich nicht ganz. Mir gefiel dieses etwas altertümliche, aber sehr stilvolle Ambiente sehr gut. Das ganze Personal war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.Wir haben uns kurzum für das Menü entschieden und jeder einzelne Gang war einfach top. Dennoch haben die legendären hausgemachten Raviolis herausgestochen. Unglaublich wie dieser hauchdünne Teig und die geschmacksvolle Fleischfüllung harmoniert haben ein Gedicht! Es wurde uns auch sehr feiner und passender Wein dazu empfohlen. Wenn man allenfalls etwas bemängeln möchte, ist es die Grösse des Desserts. Dieses war zwar super fein, aber etwas grosszügig bemessen. Aber man findet bekanntlich immer ein Haar in der Suppe, wenn man danach sucht.Ich hoffe, irgendwann mal wieder dieses tolle Lokal besuchen zu können."

Doch schon die Bestellung der Vorspeisen und desHauptganges hat an „Langsamkeit“, die Freundlichkeit der Servicepersonen übertroffen.Diese Langsamkeit durchzog sich bis hin zum Dessert, wo der Kaffee gereicht wurde und eine halbeStunde später erst der Dessert….? Der ganze Lunch hat sich von 12:00 Uhr bis um 15:30 Uhrhingezogen, nicht aus unserem Wohlwollen; aber des lange Warten auf einen nächsten Gang,und es waren ja insgesamt nur 3 Gänge, hat uns alle dann doch sehr verwundert.Insgesamt wurde das Essen sehr lieblos auf den Tellern hergerichtet und das Menu mit demknusprigen Zander auf Kichererbsenbeet, da hat sich die Köchin oder der Koch, mit der Mengean Kichererbsen sehr überschätzt; ein trockener Fisch und „tausende“ trockener Kichererbsen!Den Spinat musste man/frau mit der Lupe suchen! Ravioli= super zubereitet aber praktisch super minimum Füllung. Entenleber ist zu klein aber ernsthaft gesagt weltklasse zubereitet. Da sage ich wirklich Hut ab (als Entenleber Fan) Hauptgang= Rindsfilet wirklich perfekt gemacht. Rotweinsauce ist super tolll. Ich war wegen Pak Choi skeptisch aber es ist trotzdem gut angekommen. Dessert: Einfach, da hätte nichts schief gehen könnenPersonal: Grundsätzlich nett aber überfordert. Es hat kein Sommelier gegeben. Wenn man die Weinkarte und die Preise anschaut, dann würde den Konzept sich Sommelier wünschen. Brutal Minuszeichen: Essen wurde serviert wenn wir noch nicht beim Tisch waren.Anderes: Kein Amuse Bouche.Zusammengefasst: alles vorhanden um ein tolles fine-dining Restaurant zu werden aber die tolle Tulpendekoration und kleinere Portionen VS hohe Preisen werden euch nicht dazu führen. FYI schmeisse die Plastikblumen im Brasserie morgen weg. Das ist lächerlich. Tiefste Niveau"

"We were a group of 13 people looking for a good place for dinner after a long day of travel, first time in Zurich. We went for a walk at the city and stopped here.We wanted to taste local food and were glad to find a space here for our party.Food and wine were very good. We had several plates (since we were 13), including the cordon blue with rosti; you should give it a try. The restaurant has a big salon, so there is plenty of space if you didn't have reservations. Anyway, check first since it can get busy during high season.The best was our waitress, she was very friendly and took good care of us. He spoke several languages including ours (spanish). "We enjoyed such a lovely lunch at Belvoirpark Restaurant. The setting is beautiful and the buffet has plenty of choice and is great value for money. The service was warm and hospitable. We especially liked our server, Paloma, who was friendly, happy to share her experiences of studying working at the school and was very attentive but not intrusive, which is a real talent. I will happily recommend this restaurant to others and look forward to enjoying another lunch there again soon."
