"a few days ago, since I and my friend got a student discount. first opinions, once I went, was how attentive and friendly our server was. they really seem to care for customer service, so I don't know why there are many reviews on the contrary. we ordered immediately and food came quite fast, which was good. the food was breathtaking. my God the burger was beautiful the onion rings even more. I could eat these onion rings in buckets that were so good. the drinks were quite expensive to be honest as I don't want to pay £2.30 for water. but I feel that Byron brings a beautiful aura to cambridge and I would be happy back hundreds of times and is recommended to friends and family."

"Booked a table in advance, checked menu's online for dietary requirements. Arrived 19:00 to an empty restaurant with 2 chef's . Was taken to nice table, but then was told no gluten free options were available. I explained I had checked the menu online which differed to what he was telling me. Chef's shrugged there shoulders. I feel they prefer to supply the stream of delivery drivers than serving in house to clients. We will not be returning."

"Booked for NYE. When we turned up we were told there was no beef only chicken. At 8:30 on NYE you are stuck with nowhere else to go ! It’s very bad to have run out of the main product your business is basically promoting. Bad forecasting and management. Also 2 of the starters were also not available and gin served in a wine glass ??? Food is ok, but I do think we should have been given at least a discount or free drink due to the lack of Beef !! The whole pay before you eat at the bar cheapens the experience and makes it similar to eating at a Burger King now, plus staff can no longer receive tips. "After a bad experience with some discrimination towards myself and my wife during lockdown, we gave it another shot, (basically in an act of desperation as hadn't eaten all day after running kitchens and getting home later than usual so nothing else open! However, it was a completely different experience this time. Friendly, polite and food lovely, no sign of the individual from lockdown, thankfully! Happy we were in a position we HAD to try you again, just a shame about the individual you had there before or we would have been regular customers before now living opposite you!"

"This fish and chip shop is pretty good. The chips they serve are always cooked perfectly and delicious. The masala cod is tasty, but a bit too salty. The fried chicken is also good. A small order of cod, chips, and mushy peas costs £8.74, which is a great deal considering the generous portion sizes, especially the large piece of fish. It's one of the cheapest options in the area. However, a downside is that they package the food in plastic bags, which can make the food soggy. It would be better to use paper bags instead."

It's disappointing to see that the only review here is a negative one from someone who seems to believe they deserve special treatment due to their dietary restrictions. If you order something that is cooked fresh and have to wait, so be it. The staff would have informed you of the waiting time, so you could have made a decision. You would likely wait longer at a Chinese restaurant. Some people are never satisfied!"

"Friday evening dinner for before visiting elfingrove on December. The positives were: Waiter was polite Free Sundae for dessert San Pellgrino soft drink was served in a nice glass The Negatives were: Definitely not young child friendly (acknowledge I...chose this venue). Very loud music. Rugby on TV’s. Service was bang average gave young children soft drinks in highball glasses (no straws) heart was in my mouth every time they took a drink. Metal cutlery forks same size as my daughters head. Food was terrible. Advised that the “fire cracker chicken burger” was “awesome” or “immense” I think was how it was described. Really poor offering. Over fried, small chicken portions more coating than chicken and taste of nothing really other than oil. Brioche roll was cold. Fries were fried to within an inch of their lives. Literally no potatoe just fried crisps. Rubbish. Chicago dogs not sure how they cook these but quite hard. Suspect they were reheated so difficult to hold any freshness. Daughters couldn’t get near them. Again dog rolls cold both quickly despatched by daughters who focused on the fried crisp offerings. I tried them. Really poor hot dogs and I mean really poor. Don’t bother is my advice. Mrs was not impressed with her burger (with cheese and bacon). She ate half and I had a go at it. Burger was actually quite tasty but again roll was cold. Again not worth the effort. I was really hungry so cracked on and didn’t complain when asked if everything was ok. You know that you’ve made the effort and get the feeling that any replacement will be as bad as the original. Food was edible so I ate mine but I genuinely couldn’t tell you if the chicken was tasty as there was so little of it in amongst the fried coating. I ordered a sundae that came in a nice glass, toffee sauce and squirty cream. Pretty poor effort. The waiter didn’t charge me for this thankfully. I wouldn’t go back to crafty pig for food. The chef/cook must be having a laugh if he/she thinks that’s acceptable for paying customers. No care at all with what was served. Crafty Pig must do better "

"Ordered through UberEats. We got two burgers, two sexy fries and a mac and cheese.The burger bun was dry, the sexy fries were absolutely nothing like the photos and at a whopping £5 each, I would have expected something half presentable. The Mac and cheese was an absolute joke. We got the side but there were barely two spoons of Mac and cheese in a tub which was 10% full. See pictures. You can see the shadow on the outside of the tub which indicates how full the Mac and cheese tub was.We tried to call the restaurant to complain but no answer and auto response from ubereats telling us feedback will be passed on.I’ll never order again from here."

"I have been to Miss Millies in Bedminster, Bristol multiple times over the past few years, and I am writing this review because I have been extremely impressed with my experiences. The restaurant is always clean and well-lit, and the food is delicious. The fact that the front door is always wide open is important for air circulation during these times of COVID. I had a mask, but I did not feel the need to use it due to the open door and the small, empty waiting area. While it may seem at first glance that you get less for your money compared to KFC, I am convinced that this is not the case and it is simply how the food is packaged. I always leave feeling pleasantly full after getting food here. The chicken itself is consistently excellent and the best fried chicken I have ever had. The fries are always cooked to perfection - crispy and not greasy. The burger buns are always fresh. I truly do not understand where all the negative reviews are coming from, as I believe these guys are 'Colonel Killers'!"
