"Hidden away off the corner of Mortimer Street and Berners Street, Percy Founders is surprisingly large High ceilings, marble floors and Hockney prints. The dining room is split up into several areas for dining, lounge area and some high counters near the open kitchen At late lunch, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Staff promptly, and very pleasantly, served us and were in and out in 90 minutes We ordered roast chicken, sea trout and a burger. Then peanut butter parfaits and a cheese board for afters My burger came in a toasted brioche bun with pickles and fries (too salty). "The atmosphere at The Arber Garden was wonderful. Had my 2 little boys in tow for an afternoon out with a friend and the waiters were very prompt with asking if I'd like to place an order for their meals first, which made it easier for my friend and I to have a lovely catch up while they ate. Our starters were the lime chicken and they were delicious, the aperol spritz cooled us off, our mains were the burger and fish and chips. The portions were well sized, especially the kids meals were quite decent. The kids were kept entertained with coloring pages. The waiters interacted with the kids and chatted with them about their day. It was such great service from beginning to end. Very attentive. The facilities were kept clean and easy to access for my kids to use . Looking forward to going back soon!"

"Very comprehensive menu with varied choices. The only thing was there was a set menu choice and I am sure some of our party made choices that would have fitted the set menu. It was not explained to us whether we could 'mix and match ' so we paid full price for everything. The night we attended there was a live band which was very good although it did make eating a meal a little difficult as the staff were a bit distracted by the band. Notwithstanding that, we would definitely go again knowing what to expect."

"The evening was totally spoilt by the service. Arriving at 7.20 for our 7.30 table we waited an hour for three starters our party was for 7 people. 25 minutes later we are told our mains would arrive in 5 minutes, 35 minutes later the waiter came and told us that they had run out of chips! Absolutely unacceptable. We had been there over two hours and 5 of us had not eaten anything now being told that they had run out of , what should be staple item on any menu is unbelievable. We paid our bar bill and left. Unfortunately we would not go back ,nor recommend to anyone else. Our party had met from different areas for a pre Christmas meal so it was a big disappointment."
