"Hidden away off the corner of Mortimer Street and Berners Street, Percy Founders is surprisingly large High ceilings, marble floors and Hockney prints. The dining room is split up into several areas for dining, lounge area and some high counters near the open kitchen At late lunch, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Staff promptly, and very pleasantly, served us and were in and out in 90 minutes We ordered roast chicken, sea trout and a burger. Then peanut butter parfaits and a cheese board for afters My burger came in a toasted brioche bun with pickles and fries (too salty). I'd asked for the burger to be medium/pink but came out more on the side of well done. The flavour...read more"

Great atmosphere, nice drinks and good food. Although I think the prices are not right for the portion you get. I had lamb loin&shoulder, which was really well prepared, but tiny tiny portion for a 20pounds main course.

. Percy Founders is in the same ownership as Thomas Cubitt and Pantechnicon. The dining room is large, seating 200, with an open kitchen at one end. It is a casual affair, open all day, with a few David Hockney prints adorning the walls.

Great selection of music, good food and cocktails. I especially like the weekend flowless prosecco for only 16 pounds, and the Sunday roast chicken is huge in portion and the taste was quite nice. There are huge tables and plenty of outlets, which makes it good as a working space.

came on a Sunday evening without reservation (valentines) for a birthday dinner of friends. we did not expect a table with such a large group to find easily, but it was no problem fortunately we all ordered appetizers, main and desserts! the smoked trout and wildness are my absolute favorite. the meat was perfect what was excellent was the service. our waitress was very friendly and attentive! we come back definitiw.

Of course, the most important thing you can talk about is the alcohol and there was a lot. I'm always a little suspicious of the bottomless brunch offer as I was to locate a few places where they pretty stingy with the top-ups so they don't really much buck for their buck. between us we must have at least one bottle and a quarter prosecco drunk, with a bottle being kept in an ice bucket throughout the entire period of the meal next to us. the personal was also incredibly friendly and chatting when we put ourselves on the legs; Our glasses were never less than half full at any given moment.

Walking into Percy and Founders, which is wedged under a massive new block of apartments that probably cost a squillion pounds each, I thought I’d accidentally stumbled upon a new branch of those upmarket Wetherspoons you sometimes find in London. You know, the ones that pretend like they’re not in any way affiliated with early-rising alcoholics or the shittest hen parties of all time. The blackboard outside bears the dreaded words ‘all-day British menu’, and the inside is absolutely gigantic. Cavernous, even, and filled to the rafters with birdcages and other generically trendy miscellanea. Turns out it used to be a hospital, but in a city where the hottest restaurants are...read more
