"Unfortunately the experience at gourmet 4 wasn’t the best it could be. We walked in and we’re greeted by a female member of staff who was pleasant enough and asked if we wanted to use the app or a menu. From that point onwards a male member of staff waited on us and seemed to be rather distant and lacking in attention. When delivering food the member of staff would walk up to our circular booth then just place any item on the table. it’s rather strange to me that a waiter wouldn’t state the item, in order to enquire who had ordered that particular item. Then place the item near them. The same member of staff also would lean over the booth and members of our group rather than walking to where the person who’d ordered the food was seated (after he’d been told rather than asking who the item was for). We then ordered a desert and some drinks which took 20 minutes to arrive for some inexplicable reason (there was only our group of 4 and a table to 2 in the restaurant at the time). When the desert arrived it wasn’t even the correct desert which when questioned was greeted with a rather annoyed look by our less than helpful waiter. The food was decent size, tasted pretty good and good value. It would perhaps be an idea however to get some staff training, or at the least managerial oversight as I doubt the service would be up to standard."

"Have used Seavers Fish bar before we had a large Cod and Chips Twice with a Curry Sauce really big Portions and Beautiful Fish lovely and sweet and the Batter is lovely and crispy. So we decided to have an order but tried the Kebab in a flat Bread with Salad and Mayo the portions were huge my Partner had the Kebab with Chicken both were lovely really good and delivery was super fast really enjoyed our meal would use again."

"What a find!!This was my first visit on Friday night. . .Sheradens was recommended to us . Very friendly place. Very busy too so theres a fast turn over and the fish had just been cooked. Really lovely fish and chips. My only criticism was the mushy peas were very watery and had no taste . We would highly recommend Sheradens. You pay a bit more for a very good reason!!!"

"The restaurant was closed despite having made a reservation through OpenTable, which was confirmed. We arrived only to find the doors locked, so we had to call them. When I first spoke to the man who answered, he didn't even realize they were closed. The place seemed entirely abandoned, so we decided to go elsewhere. I understand that they may have had their reasons for being closed, but they really need to cancel reservations or at least inform their customers!"

"I recently had the best fish and chips I've had in a long time at this restaurant. My two daughters also loved their meals, with one having chicken nuggets and the other having wings, both with chips and curry sauce. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely be returning for more delicious food. "Upon entering, we informed the staff that we had a reservation, but they appeared disinterested and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant felt unwelcoming. I also noticed that there were packs of canned drinks stacked to one side, as if they hadn't made any effort to tidy up. "Food was nice. What totally let this place down was the staff members sloppy attitude to hygiene. No hand soap in any of their 3 toilets. Having tried all three, one of their taps were running on full, I tried to turn it off but it was too stiff. I told the front of house staff member of the lack of soap and the running tap and she told me she knew about both but looked unwilling to do anything about it. If they want more than one star from me then they need to sort out their facilities. I had to wash my hands in their kitchen area, not ideal to say the least. A family member recommended the place and felt the need to apologise following that experience. Your guests shouldn't be embarrassed about recommending your business, shame on your staff for not addressing the two very basic issues. Brighton and Hove health and hygiene team must be very sloppy for giving you 5 hygiene stars."

"My wife and I decided to go into this place for a quick bite before the long drive to South West Scotland. We ordered 2 x Spicy Bean Burgers and a large portion of fries I had a large Fanta. Having not been in a Burger King for years and remembering their original Spicy Bean Burger as good, I was anticipating better. The burger was dry and stodgy and left a funny taste in my mouth. "So last night we ordered from Milano pizza on Ormskirk road. Ordered food at 7.15, told it would be no later than 50 minutes. Called back at 8.20 and they said it would be 10 minutes and that they were busy. We were promised two free cans of Pepsi for the delay. Food arrived cold at 8.55, they sent one can of Pepsi not two and they had the nerve to charge us for the Pepsi they'd said would be free! Upon closer inspection half of the order was missing, chips were cold and soggy, the chicken tandoori kebab was burnt and had brown wilted lettuce on it and the garlic bread was freezing. When we rang to complain the person answering the phone had the nerve to say our order hadn't even been delivered yet! They sent us more chips the missing food, and when Matt gave the cold food back to their delivery driver the bloke threw it all over the road in front of our house, and the receipt from our order was with the rubbish so they can't even deny that they did it! Won't ever be ordering from them again"
