"Took my partner here as a change of scenery for a nice evening meal out on New Year’s Day. My meal was ok, the meat was overcooked however that can be tolerated. My partners meal came out, she ordered steak pie. Her steak pie was...slapped onto the plate, accompanied by the ridiculously tiny sliver of pastry, of which wasn’t even enough to cover the rations of meat provided. When queried the food, we were told the steak pie was ‘served out of a big dish’ and was always presented this way. I’m honestly shocked. We sent the meal back, for a new one to arrive, the steak pie was fined, pastry was fine, presentable. A lot better!! Until we realised her roast parsnip was completely undercooked and borderline raw!! All in all, I am completely embarrassed to have taken my partner here, the food was utterly shocking. The bar staff and manager present did their best to make it as pleasant as possible, despite upset. However the food just ruined the complete atmosphere and furthermore, our evening. Absolutely will NOT be back and would NOT recommend!!"
