"I met up with a few friends at this restaurant for their great value early evening special. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. Even though it wasn't very busy (it was a Monday evening), we didn't mind as we were there to catch up with each other. The building itself is also quite lovely."

"Food was gloopy and disappointing Thai papaya salad was not remotely authentic sweet chilli sauce covering chunks of papaya fruit (rather than dry and grated) on a bed of leaves... very wrong. Pastas were cold and miso salmon tasteless. Tuna nicoise looked like it was made the day before and dressing was pink/grey in colour and inedible, Portions were poor."

"The Tappit Hen is tucked away down St.Swithin’s Lane but should be tried at least once after work. The service was excellent with our waiter greeting us at the door with a smile and looking after us for the evening. Food was of a high standard and the wine list had a large range ‘by the glass’ which allowed us to try wines outside our usual choices. Another visit is on the cards."
