"Thank you Lutyens for another excellent lunch. My sister who joined me as my guest had a broken foot and the manager and staff were most accommodating in finding a box to stand it on so it was raised. The Dover sole is always very good but as a beer drinker could they stock Birra Moretti as well as Peroni as the former is much nicer and it's what the Italians drink!"

"Amazing food and excellent service, my friend complained about one of the wines to the end and they offered us free digestive drinks to make sure! Overall the ambience was great and very attentive!"

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"A gift for my 60th birthday. Was so excited as I thought it was in the big west end store, but no, it was in an old bank building, soulless in the city. Emails said to upload photo so they can greet you personally on arrival. Did as instructed but had to hover and wave the maitre’d on arrival. Wasn’t overly busy and a nice young lady seated us. All tables are small (for2only) and in a bright central space, surrounded by jewellery shops, and of course Fortnum &Mason tea and gift shop. It wasn’t cozy and welcoming, more like sitting in an airport departure lounge. 2 afternoon tea towers delivered, with tea, coffee and champagne. The table isn’t large enough for 2 towers, 2 cups, teapot, champagne and water glasses. It’s awkward. AND THE TABLE WOBBLED. Hubby had to keep his foot firmly on the base of central pedestal to reduce the wobble. What should’ve been relaxed, cozy, maybe even romantic was more like a supermarket cafe experience. So disappointing. Maybe go to the Swan in Southwold, they know how to do afternoon tea, they offer a huge offering of savory, Inc. mini fish and chips, then an enormous cake/dessert selection Fortnums afternoon tea £48p/p Swan Southwold afternoon tea £42 Inc champagne. I know where I will go next time. It won’t be F&M"

"Went for a brunch meeting and the food was nice but the service wasn't great. Had to ask to order second round of drinks, then ask again when they hadn't appeared. Had to ask twice for the bill and despite lots of staff being around getting attention was quite hard. Good location and might go back for food but not when in a hurry."

"Visited here whilst in Putney on a Friday lunchtime. Very busy at the tills but staff are efficient. Lots more seating in this branch than it first appears. Other than the initial seating you can see there is a big space at the back of the shop behind the tills as well as on another floor. Despite being busy the tables were being kept clean which is great. Various new flavour wraps and sandwiches on offer in November in preparation for Xmas. I had a new falafel and avocado wrap with chipotle sauce which was good. Really like their seltzers. They are quite bitter so maybe not everyone’s choice but I think they are great as no sugar and great taste. The spelt and oat cookies were lovely."

"This restaurant is a nice spot for a quick snack. It could use more seating. The coffee was excellent and the sandwiches and pastries were delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant and the baked goods were tasty. I appreciate the option to bring your own cup and receive a discount on your hot drink."

"We booked a table at Kindred as we were seeing a show at the Eventim Apollo. kindred was very easy to find from Hammersmith station. Only a 2 min walk. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was approximately 10 mins before our booking however the staff were very lovely and accommodating. The restaurant on a whole inside was smaller however the ambience and atmosphere when you’re there is amazing. Would highly recommend for anyone who is seeing a show at The Eventim or nearby and would definitely go again x"

"My friend and I decided to go to Notting Hill for breakfast and after walking around for a bit we decided on Farm Girl. Big mistake. Initially we walked in and were seated quickly, it had a nice atmosphere and so far everyone seemed friendly. After being seated, a small card stated the menu was online and could be viewed using a QR code, which is a great way to move forward in hospitality to avoid paper wastage but you might want to think twice about this option when your building has no cell service and your free 'wifi ' works slower than my grandma climbing the stairs at 95. Our order was taken, we weren 't asked about any allergies (which we both had but ordered carefully), the food arrived quickly but my god... We get it, everything 's expensive in London but £14.50 for TWO pancakes with a spoonful of mashed up cherries and £10.50 for a slice of bread with some avocado?! RIDICULOUS! The tables next to us were also complaining at the prices of their breakfast once the food arrived and realised how appalling the portions are. My friend and I love supporting smaller businesses and expect to pay slightly more in support of these, but this was just atrocious. Not one server had returned to the table to check if our food was alright or if we wanted anything else. Once finished, we actually managed to access the QR code to pay the bill and a service charge had been placed ontop of the already extortionate amount. Now as someone who has worked in hospitality myself for 4 years, I 'm more than happy to pay service charge as well as leaving cash tips. Not this time. Paying service charge would 've meant we 'd actually been served, we hadn 't. My friend asked for the service charge to be removed to which the waiter nodded then went back to the till, bad mouthed us to his coworker who turned around to look at us both (making uncomfortable eye contact) he then returned and we paid straight away. My friend and I both left straight away, thanking the staff but we were blanked completely. Note to farm girl: sort yourself out, you may be popular with tourists but eventually you 'll be out of business."

"We discovered this wonderful restaurant slightly off the main path in Colchester, just a 5-minute walk from the castle. After exploring the castle for a few hours (highly recommended with a guide), we decided to stop by and were pleasantly surprised. The staff greeted us warmly, the coffee lived up to its promise of being the best, and the muffins were absolutely delicious. If we ever find ourselves in Colchester again, we will definitely be returning to this lovely spot!"

"A very , very disappointing experience. The waiter was apparently new, so fair to give him a chance, but we held our breath to see if our margarita cocktail turned into a pizza…….after a long wait we were pleasantly surprised to receive a drink though where the tequila went, who knows? The main courses both involved risotto which was more like wallpaper paste than any rice dish. The manager was eager to make amends, so opted for a couple of salads…….yes they were edible and the prawn one had more prawns than the risotto! Truly terrible not a place that we will ever revisit!"

"The ambience was very nice not too noisy not really quiet. Everyone just getting on with their meal. The waiters were pleasant but I think £16.95 for an omelette which was meant to have mature cheddar cheese which I absolutely could not taste at all) is quite excessive. I had a Diet Coke cheese omelette with chips and a coffee and my bill was £32."

"I had a wonderful evening at Carluccio's—my first time dining there. I initially booked a table for 12 three days before my 50th birthday, but after being surprised with a party, I adjusted it down to 6 and then 3. Despite the changes, the meal was delightful; I ordered the chicken with white wine sauce and requested a small amount just in case I didn’t like it, but it turned out to be delicious. There were no complaints about my last-minute changes to the reservation; the staff, especially the manager, were incredibly nice and friendly. I will definitely return soon and highly recommend this restaurant!"

"Greeted very oddly by a lady at the door. After being seated the same lady took our orders and was being very rude by showing her impatience by tutting and rolling her eyes when we were ordering but seemed to be quite patient when dealing with other customers. My cutlery still had a piece of food on it and so did those of the people sitting with me . After inspecting one set of our cutlery , she says this is not dirty and gives the cutlery back to one of my party. She then came to our table to replace our nearly burnt out candle and swaps our candle with the one from the table behind which was also nearly burnt out. To my horror, she comes back with fresh new candle and uses our little candle to light the new candle which she gives to the table behind us. Whilst we are eating our meal, she comes back with yet another candle that she uses our candle to light AGAIN. She then comes back to ask us if everything is okay with our meal, to which a person from my party says that her cocktail is very diluted. The waitress proceeds to say I 'm talking about the pizza and completely dismisses the issue with the drink. I am so disgusted by the conduct of that staff member and will never come back. We were very polite and stayed that way even after the poor treatment. Evidently we didn 't pay service charge and I will be making a formal complaint as this is not acceptable at all. I can understand if I or anyone in my party was rude/disrespectful, but this was not the case. She clearly did not want to welcome us here."

"Having a coffee at this café was reminiscent of being in Tel Aviv. Noisy traffic, people speaking on their phones in Ivrit, orthodox Jews strolling by and a laid back atmosphere. Even the plumbing was very Israeli. The toilets were very clean but the taps were coming away from the sink. It was a cold day in August, which is definitely not typical of Israel and we were seated outside as a Covid precaution. The friendly staff did offer at least twice to turn on the external heaters which would have been nice, but when we left some 20 minutes later the heaters had still not come on. Well it's the thought that counts ....."
