"Gidleigh Park. 8 course tasting menu. Service almost impeccable, welcoming, yet not familiar . I got impatient with the waits between so many courses. I wouldn 't re-choose menu, excellent though the food was, and entertaining, with so much happening on each plate. I disliked How was everything? after every course! No Sherry cream sauce with the veal and the crispy bacon was limp. Fabulous sweetbreads with almonds though. Wines by glass very expensive. Lovely walk in grounds after lunch."
