"Quite simply shocking, we arrived with plenty of tables spare and took a seat on the terrace, the waitress saw us snd gave us menus then proceeded to seat snd serve every other person besides us.. we had to go inside and ask to be...served! Given that someone followed us out to serve us, two ‘regulars’ intervened and asked to be moved next to us on the terrace where there wasn’t much room and proceeded to be served, looked after impeccably before then getting to us.. we then noticed all other patrons were served their drinks etc first.. so went to ask where our drinks were we had ordered two pizzas by this stage.. must have waited mins for drinks from the time we arrived (both of us have hospitality backgrounds the weather changed so we moved indoors probably another mins before pizzas arrived.. mine was so greasy I had to use a napkin to soak it off, and then just couldn’t eat it as tasted too greasy.. we weren’t asked why I left half the pizza.. at this stage our waitress cleared the table and we asked for the bill, we waited another ten mins snd the same waitress came back and asked if we’d like anything else.. no we would just like the bill like we asked for.. service charge was added, think it should say optional, we took this off immediately as the service was shocking and I refuse to pay for it!! This place needs to be very careful.. there are so many fantastic places in Harrogate you need to keep up with the times! We will not be returning.. and I suggest anyone looking at this place thinks twice!"

"spectacular eating with a warm welcome. alex, our waiter, was excited to find the dishes that we 'd most happy work with a no gay group diet that cut away a good piece of the menu. Finally, he decided to create a few tailor-made plates that he hoped to wake us and they woke us! we first enjoyed a red pizza with parmesan, rocket and fresh tomatoes. the tomatoes were perfectly ripe, high quality, provide an intense burst of taste, accompanies the nutty rocket to cut through a generous part of the creamy, salty cheese. the cheese overwhelmed but not or weighed off the dish, perfectly matched the acidic, slightly peppery tomato sauce. gattusos cruste is one of the best I have experienced 'through crispy and thin on the bottom without trembling or sagging, and a delicious salty outer rim that was ultra light and crisp. our second court was an aubergine and tomaten penne. I have to confess that I usually don't go for red sose pastas, as I find the sour tomato a bit too a note. however, this pasta changed my mind; delicate aubergine paired perfectly with al dente penne, and both were made in a tasteful, earthy tomato sauce creamy by exactly the right spray of oil and milk. it was simple, bright and full of this house handmade love they feel rare when they eat. we only paid 24 pounds for a lunch with two people, concerning me. it is the type of place where they only know they are remembered and welcomed back as family. I would come back every day to contemplate, lovingly made Italian meals."

"What a find! We tried this as an alternative to the usual restaurants we go to in Crystal Palace. I really don't know why we hadn't tried this restaurant before. The seating space is divided into two areas the front part has a bar and is a slightly more relaxed space, whereas the second part is a little more formal. We wanted to sit somewhere warm, cosy and away from other people, so we opted for a table just into the second part of the restaurant behind a set of shelves with wine and champagne bottles under lights. It was really pretty and quite secluded. In fact no one else sat in that part of the restaurant all night for 8.30pm on a Saturday, it was quite quiet. The food on offer spanned the full gamut of Italian cuisine, from pizza, pasta and gnocchi to fish, beef and veal. I went for the vitello milanese and my friend went for the swordfish. I swapped my chips for the rosemary roast potatoes, which was the best decision that I have made in a long time they were crispy and perfect to accompany the veal. We shared a bottle of cab that was both delicious and reasonable at around £24. For pudding we had the home made tiramisu (had to be done! and it was delicious not too sweet and not at all sickly, and quite large! What really made this such a brilliant night, was the service. Everyone was so warm and friendly and fun. It really was a brilliant night and we are going back again very soon!"
