"Food was great and service was quick, but they just haven’t got the hang of COVID security. The restaurant was largely empty, but of the tables in use we were all bunched close together. The young waiter wore his mask and was careful in his food and drink handling but the waitress did not wear a mask or visor at all, completely against all rules of current hygiene and safety"

"Our family have been coming to this wonderful place for 10 years, since my wife was pregnant. Dejan, the owner, is incredibly warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and cosy. We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed the food is always great and the prices are very reasonable. The homemade cakes are amazing! Being a passionate family man, Dejan has created a very family friendly environment. This family run restaurant is where we always have a morning coffee or eat lunch when we're in Cheltenham, because it's a lovely change from corporate chains that lack any atmosphere. La Scala has a wonderful ambience. We'll keep coming back! (Unfortunately, due to absolutely no fault of the owner, its physical location means that wheelchair access isn't possible. However, the staff will always help mums down the steps with push chairs)."
