"I had the most delightful evening at the Britannia, returning after a long time. It’s always been great, but it’s just gotten better! The manager was so welcoming and gifted me a glass of bubbly on arrival for my birthday, so lovely! Then he let us choose where we wanted to sit. The menu was varied with several seafood options too. All the food was of a very high standard. I had the tempura prawns with a very light and crispy batter and tasty prawns, then the lamb rump with dauphinois potatoes and green beans. It was delicious and the meat was cooked exactly as I’d asked. A substantial wine menu offering also. It had more of a restaurant feel than when I last visited, with white table cloths etc. but I think this works as felt more of a special dining experience for a birthday.
