The Hat and Tun was a really pleasant surpriseS warm, 'proper old boozer' that does the basics right.

The Hat and Tun in London is a very authentic pub serving good pub style food and real ales. Interesting local clientele add to the atmosphere. View menu

Disappointing **** ciabatta in a really lovely pub. Badly put together, not what it said on the menu and short on all the good ingredients. A shame because

here for lunch on Monday, so probably not on his most lively, but it was just okay. the menu had a decent selection of burgers to 'doorstep ' sandwiches. I went for the salt bark doorstep that was huge and came with cramps and salat. for £8 it was a good value, but the salt bark was not the best; maybe something under done. but my lemon was £2,50, which will never be acceptable. We visited the Hat and Tun as part of a team lunch and had heard good things. Had a good atmosphere with very helpful staff, who were almost too helpful at times when we were asked if we would like to order a number of times after ordering. The food was as expected from a pub like this, perfectly acceptable and the price was reasonable when we opted for the pie and beer for a tenner. Would attend again, but not rush back to eat.
