"Was disappointed with the brunch, refills were slow for the drinks. I had booked in advance and specified this was for my birthday celebrations and for 9 people, the table and area I was given was poor compared to every other table/ group, we had two uneven tables joined together. Made it hard to communicate with each-other as it seemed like we were on 2 separate tables. With the food even though I wrote in the notes when pre-ordering about how we wanted the steaks cooked the lady still came over and asked how we wanted the steaks cooked, when I said to her I had written it in the comments she said she hadn’t checked the comments so took it again from me. I said I wanted my steak medium rare and I was served a medium- well done chewy steak and had to send it back and wait for the correct cooked steak whilst everyone else was eating! A few of my friends went for the chicken, all of them complained about how dry and tasteless it was, very disappointing especially having to pay £60. I had paid a deposit on the booking of £160 yet the staff still presented me with a full bill without deducting the deposit amount from the total bill and stuck a whooping £67.50 service charge. So I had to go up and get it rectified. They clearly had not clicked on my name when processing the bill because had they have done this it would not have happened. I saw the man click on my name and it said on there that I had paid £160. For a £60 bottomless brunch I expect better food and more drinks. I go to brunches often and have had better food and much more drinks and paid much less. This did not feel like birthday celebrations and quite frankly I was disappointed with it. Why have a comment section if no one bothers to read it? Botanist you need to do better!"

"Arrived in London late and hungry. We still had to check in to our hotel and had noticed, on the Yelp App, that Salt was not far. We asked the front desk guy about it but apparently he wasn 't a fan. He referred to it as where night people went. Not sure what he meant by that at the time but, it was night and I was hungry so, I guess that made me one of them. Left our things in the room and walked to Salt. As we approached the restaurant we realized what he meant. We were in a middle eastern part of town and this place was packed even though it was already 10pm on a weekday. The people at the outside tables were smoking hookah, having delicious looking Nan bread with dipping sauces, and everyone seemed to be having a great, relaxing time. Seemed like a great place so far. Went in and liked it even more. Plenty of tables all around, beautiful and very organized full bar (with a long list of whiskeys), and we were seated immediately. Took me a while to decide on what to eat, they have a good variety of dishes on their menu, mostly Indian cuisine but there some dishes for people who prefer things like a burger or fish and chips. Finally decided on their Chicken wrap, and we also ordered a lamb wrap and potato cake. While we waited for the food we got our drinks... vodka soda and a Campari Spritzer. The food came out fairly fast and hot. Big portions and Big flavors. The Chicken wrap had a delicious curry taste, and you can ask for it to made with nan instead of a regular wrap bread . The Nan makes a huge difference, trust me. Made me want to ask for more on the side but I refrained as what we had on the table was more than enough already. It comes with a mint sauce on the side but, I enjoyed it more with the yogurt sauce from the potato pancake. Which were very tasty too! Our server came over from time to time to bring us new drinks, refill our waters and make sure food was to our liking. So glad we didn 't listen to the guy at the hotel. As mentioned it was my first night in London, and so far it started on a great note. Definitely a place I would recommend!"
