"It was ok but wouldn’t be in a rush to return. Firstly we wasn’t greeted that great was just told our table wasn’t ready so we then walked over to the bar area. Once seated we was asked about 5 times within the first ten minutes which drinks we would like to order even though we was told a drinks menu was being brought over after 15 mins we was then given a drinks menu then after ordering it took around 15 -20 mins for drinks to arrive we then ordered our starters and mains which took around 40 minutes for the starters to arrive then shortly after we were asked twice if our mains should be brought out after not even being half way through our starter dishes. Once our mains were severed shortly after we was told we had only ten mins left on the table which wasn’t correct as we still had 35 mins after speaking to 4 different waiters and proving my booking time they eventually agreed for us to have the table to the correct time which even then didn’t feel like they wanted us to because of all the rushing at this point we didnt even want to stay. I would say the food was lovely but the staff let the experience down majorly like I say it’s nice but I would be in no rush to return"

"Not a great experience. Courtyard dining was nice given the weather and the food was reasonably priced if a little underwhelming. Service was a major let down. There were a handful of guests and the service team were slow to acknowledge us both upon arrival in the hotel and beyond. We were charged when placing the order, which is perfectly fine until we realised we were the only ones that had been charged upfront. Not sure of the rationale and probably wouldn't have been bothered until we were asked to pay again when leaving. For clarity, this was a business lunch and both of us were suited, not exactly looking the part to run off. Would have been happy for them to have approached and simply ask of we had paid rather than have someone ask from across the courtyard. Drinks arrived late, but to be fair food was served on time. Fortunately the company and conversation made up for a poor showing from the restaurant."

"The place was nice and we was seated at our table, we had to ask for a Drinks Menu. We ordered our meals, starters and mains, the starters were nice apart from the scotch egg which had no runny egg( but was told beforehand that this was down to the bird flu) we ordered the OX cheek, 2 Wagu burgers and a fillet steak.. the ox cheek was very nice.. however the 2 wagu burgers, we wasn't even asked how we would like these before ordering and to come out and they were both burnt!.. The fillet steak was ok, but the meat had been cut in half to see if they had cooked it correct..the only reason we didn't complain is that we were receiving the food at 50%... the service wasnt the best.. TBH I dont normally write reveiws but Felt I had to on this occasion"

"Came especially for the vegan menu (I’m vegetarian as I heard good things about it. Drove from Lisburn all the way to Parkgate and had 2 very enjoyable nights. First night I had the cauliflower popcorn (bit too salty for my liking and the sweet potato roulade (amazing! . My husband had the soup of the day (very nice and the risotto (little bit stodgy, looked as if cooked too quick . For dessert I had the apple/berry crumble which was very nice and husband had sticky toffee (also gorgeous! . Decaf oat latte’s at the end sealed the deal. Just delighted to be able to order a good decaf coffee! Next evening returned with a friend. I had the salted chilli stir fry (verrry salty, but that’s what it says on the tin and the cauliflower pie. The pie was a bit of a let down. The gravy was overbearing, essentially, the whole dish tasted of gravy. I would have preferred to get it in a dish on the side (like with the roulade to add the amount I prefer myself. Same desserts again this evening, both again very nice. Service was ok, young girls mainly and you could tell some were a bit inexperienced but that really didn’t impact us. Food came out super quick! I will def be back, altho I won’t be ordering the pie again and I hope next time I will be able to try the “scallops” as they were sold out both nights (sat 6pm and sun 7.30pm and they just sounded amazing! If your hesitating to go for the vegan menu, don’t!! It’s the best vegan offering I have encountered to date. I really hope they keep it up."

"I was in the restaurant at several earlier locations and chose it as we have a gast from overseas that arrived first. Unfortunately, she was met by a frosty lady who told her that the table was not ready, although she had arrived on time. I'm coming up shortly and the same person accused me of waiting at the bar when the table wasn't ready. this is not my previous experience and all other employees were great. it was very disappointing to meet with such a gloomy, and not with my previous experience."

"The outdoor terrace seating at this restaurant is nice and elegant, but I don't plan on returning. I found the restaurant host to be very rude as they initially refused to seat us outside or inside the restaurant despite it being only 10% occupied. After some arguing, they finally gave us a table outside with a very unpleasant attitude. The waiter, on the other hand, was friendly and helpful. The appetizers we ordered (Tomato soup, carpaccio, and salad) were all good. However, the main dishes (Risotto, tomato pasta, and lobster linguine) were served cold and would have been better if they were warm. We chose not to complain because we just wanted to finish our meal and leave. Overall, this experience left us feeling disappointed and unsure of the reason for the poor service, but it came off as snobbish and rude."

"Wonderful afternoon tea experience in London. The staff is very friendly. There are options to sit at a regular table or around a coffee table with a sofa and chairs. We chose the latter and were very comfortable. They have wonderful options for vegetarians and our meat eating friend also enjoyed the experience. We were very full by the end of the meal. The tea is absolutely delicious! And there is also a piano player during afternoon tea that provides wonderful ambiance"

"I didn't settle the bill, so I can only guess about that. My employers take space in Nova north, and London based colleagues recommended you, so as a firm, I expect we are with you regularly. We were served by a slim young lady who was Greek. She was very very good indeed. My 2 clients are not fussy people, and are long since retired, but they too thought she was fantastic, and I suspect that a hefty tip was given. Don't let her leave!!"

"We eat out probably 150 nights per year due to business travel. Blake’s was one of the worst dining experiences in 5 years puts it in the bottom .1% for us. We were told after we sat down that they needed the table in 1:45 minutes. Actually not a problem. We ordered and the food came so fast we felt out of breath. The food was fine, not overly imaginative, but since the starters blended into the mains, who could tell the difference or judge the quality. We ordered a bottle of wine half way through the starters, the mains came out before the wine which we had to cancel. We we had our mains served to us less than 30 minutes after we initially sat down and that included 10 minutes of cocktails and starters, and waiting to order. We haven’t felt less welcomed in 5 years anywhere. If you want a take out window dining experience at a supposedly fine food restaurant this is the place. Otherwise there are too many great restaurants in London to visit who will give you a great night out, so we don’t recommend wasting your short time at Blake’s."

"We had a wonderful lunch at B12! The staff greeted us warmly and the cozy interior made us feel comfortable. Some of us ordered the fish and chips, I had the chorizo hash, another had the pie, and someone else had the eggs Benedict. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals as they were delicious! Although there was a slight delay in receiving our food due to our party of 6, it was worth the wait. The only small issue was that the potatoes in my dish tasted a bit old, but everyone else had no complaints. Overall, we loved our experience and would definitely come back again."

"Absolutely fabulous! We were visiting no.1 son who is now a Clapham resident. We did our research and chances upon this gem, but we couldn’t have expected it to be this good. Due to stormy weather trains from oop North were delayed so no.1 was sent on to let us the restaurant know we were inbound, better than that he had ordered Peronis ready for our arrival, from the relaxed and friendky front of house guys. We had grilled octopus (sublime) , Arancini both as a starter and as a main course, focaccia, no.2 had sirloin (medium rare) and declared it the ‘best ever’, and is garnering suitable experience to actually judge, no.1 and I had phenomenal 10oz rump (rare) all with triple cooked trips. We washed our food down with a delightful bottle of house red and folllowed up with chocolate ice cream for no.2, cheesecake for no.1 and a Mai Tai for no. 0 . We could not have asked for a better family reunion and meal. We felt so comfortable and welcome and would recommend it, be it for family, couples or small parties, thank you."

"A first time visit spoilt to some extent by a litany of failings. At opening, only one beer on the hand pump, and this soon ran out without being replaced. The menu was incomplete at start of service, and to top it all, my colleague and I were removed from our seats as apparently the table was reserved for a group, although this was not mentioned during the first hour of our visit and was not indicated by any reserved notice on the table. We were given a free drink each at the bar in recompense, only, to our amazement, to see the group who had been given our table leave the pub ten minutes after we had been ousted without having eaten a thing. Whilst the manager was inept, our Sri Lankan barmaid was superb, and had it not been for her we would have left without our free tipple. In essence, a lovely pub spoilt by an inadequate management."

"It took me a year to finally try this restaurant for dinner. The menu did not initially catch my attention, but when I saw the top salad, I thought it would be a good vegetarian option as I try to eat vegetarian a few days a week. Although the salad I wanted was not available, the chef made me a special salad with mushrooms, beans, carrots, and leafy greens. It was very tasty, although a bit on the sweet side. My partner had the steak, which was juicy and generously sized. The potato chips were delicious. The waiter was very attentive, checking on us perhaps a bit too frequently since the restaurant was not busy on a Tuesday night at 8:00. We were able to use a discount voucher for Tuesdays and Thursdays, which gave us a 25% discount. The interior of the restaurant was lovely and cozy, with soft afternoon light streaming in. Overall, a very nice experience."

"I got a gift voucher to use in the brasserie. we wanted to eat here in august, but there were no tables for non-guests, which was disappointed. but we managed to get a table for two beginnings oktober. we parked in the central parking lot, but found it difficult to find even the brasserie as there were not enough signs. Once we found it, we received a warm welcome. the menu was varied. I have chosen to start with the fish and chips for main and cheesecake for dessert. my man chose pate to start steak for pornstars and cheesecakes. the food was well cooked and well presented. although the bill was on the costly side, also with the credit, I felt that it was a good value for money. we might want to return to the spa and spend the day there and go to the brasserie with a meal."

"Good selection on the menu. For starters we had the celeriac and the scallop, for mains the hanging seafood skewer and the muscles. All were very well done. Not exceptional but very good. No complaints about any of the food. We shared a cheese board, only comment would be there could have been a tad more cheese, though this is a pretty common issue with restaurant cheese boards. The wine choice was also good, and lots of choices of good wines by the glass. Service was very friendly, nicely informal. Didn't feel rushed, we were seated for a tad over 2 hours for 3 courses. Positive feedback for the toilets, very clean!! The aspect we scored least was value. Not really specific to On The Quay, but generally we've noticed how much more it costs for a 3 course meal with drinks. All in all a very pleasant evening."

"We had made a reservation at the brasserie for our New Year's dinner and received confirmation that everything was set for the big night. However, when we arrived, there was no one in sight! They had an event going on and had closed the restaurant without updating their booking system or the Opentable Register. It was a complete disappointment and ruined our plans for the evening. We had to return to our hotel room and order food instead. It was surprising that such a mistake could happen so easily and we were left feeling embarrassed and disappointed with our NYE experience. Hopefully, this won't happen to anyone else in the future!"

"nice venue, personal attentive and very friendly. very busy for a Thursday who gave a good atmosphere. I ordered the butter chicken, looked gr8 out, but the chicken was very hard, so was overboiled, unusual for an Indian restaurant. the aromen were beautiful. we have the set £25 menu that was a good value. not many options for diners who are ceoliac and need gluten-free food, which was very disappointing. they had no separate frit so that non-glue-containing menu items were excluded due to cross-contamination. I would expect a Michelin Star cook to take the time to ensure that diners with food allergies have the same choice."

"Only found out that restaurant was closed as read last 3 reviews in February on the day! I had booked this for 9 people for my 60th birthday bringing my elderly parents up from Brighton and luckily able to book a chain restaurant at short notice.Obviously OpenTable know as not able to do bookings now and phone number of restaurant an “unrecognised number” Restaurant could easily have let people know as have all details to make contact."
