"A friend visiting London was staying there and a few of us arranged to meet him in the bar before going for dinner. Greeted at the door by two men bursting with self importance. After having to call to get our friend to speak to someone in the hotel he reluctantly let us pass. We all got to the bar, ordered then noticed the place was full of old fat men and girls looking for rich fat old men. We downed our not so great cocktails (mine was a rather bitter espresso martini) and decided to leave sharpish. We checked out his room before leaving just felt gimmicky and cheap. I’ve been to quite a few places all around the world inc W Sydney and NCY but this one lacks any semblance of class and reflected by the poor attitude of the door staff. We couldn’t wait to leave happy to say I’d rather meet somewhere else"

"Awful experience. Booked a table for 6pm and was ignored for 10 minutes by staff members who didn’t know how to access the bookings info. After 20 mins finally we were given a table and told to order at the bar. Ordered a jug of sangria and was charged £2 service charge?? Then by 645pm we were still waiting for our drink only to go to the bar to be laughed at and told they forgot to bring it! Took it back to the table and realised the porcelain jug was cracked and chipping into the drink… we weren’t offered an alternative eventually we left at 7pm after demanding a refund spent an hour there and had zero service, no drink, and the owner is more concerned with parading around taking selfies. Absolute joke of a place much like Boujee a few doors down!"

"I’ve had Afternoon Tea in some of Dublin best known hotels. Some better than others but the Afternoon Tea experience in the Iveagh Garden Hotel surpassed them all. From we entered the hotel we were met with charming and professional staff. The food was excellent fresh and plentiful. The Birthday girl has a small appetite and she was able to take some home with her. I loved that we both got a large pot of tea and no problem refilling. I shall happily recommend here to friends and family and look forward to returning at a later date."
