"Unfortunately on this occasion the food was served just barely warm. It was a Sunday Roast beef potatoes etc were all either served on a very cold plate or left to go cold before serving. we were due at an event and did not have time to spare to complain and wait for rectification so did not complain at the time. This said prior to this The Mermaid was our number one go to in Rye. I hope they have not changed the chef and that the chef is on holiday to return quality back to perfection in the near future."
