"I haven't been to the Three Blackbirds since its latest fire refurb. I guess if you've never been before you might like the decor but I think the front dining area particularly is tragic compared to how lovely it was before. Tiles on the wall in a beautiful old country pub? Food was OK, service was OK. Hand sanitiser at the entrance had run out and wasn't replaced for the entire service we were there as I kept hearing people mentioning it in these Covid days, that's a bit of a nono. No requirement to wear a mask when going to your table or the toilets. Terrible muzak played in the background which sounds so tinny as there's nothing to absorb the sound. Won't be going again I'm afraid"

"Had the most delicious meal on Saturday night. We arrived to a warm welcome by the barman which makes all the difference, then seated into the restaurant by him. Our order was taken politely by the waitress and our food was served shortly after. We started with the pea arancini and the cauliflower and cheese veloute. We both had the pan seared salmon for main which was absolutely delicious, with a crispy skin to die for! Finishing with the rhubarb creme brulee and ice cream. It was such a treat to have fresh food served on hot plates. We can highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you."

"We feel honest about Le Chalet is one of the best kept secrets in Leeds! This was our third visit and it became more and more pleasant every time we were! The staff (especially the owner/manager) is an absolute pleasure. They are always very friendly and welcoming plus, they know how to give each customer this personal note when providing their exceptionally high customer service and always with a smile. Nothing is cumbersome and they couldn't come any more! We have always appreciated ourselves in Le Chalet and this occasion was no exception! The selection of options on the menu is sufficiently large, so there is really something for everyone with many unique items that you fight to find somewhere else! During this visit we had the hot afternoon tea that we can no longer recommend! It was literally the best Afternoon Tea we ever had in every sense of the word! The portion sizes are fantastic, the taste and the aromas are purely exotic and the presentation is mesmerizing, so the whole setup excellent value for money! Special highlights for us were the chicken pasta bakers and the shells that were super freshly decorated and served. Every single article on our Afternoon Tea was exceptional quality and that is quite accurate! Le Chalet also had a wide selection of beautiful teas with a whole range of fabulous flavors. If you gently open the petals as if they flower in your drink when ordering the jasmine fairy tea is an extraordinary extra touch and bizarre quite entertaining. Le Chalet itself has a very special atmosphere and we felt very relaxed and comfortable during our visit! The layout, distributed on two levels, has a bit of balcony feel to it and is spacious, bright and warm furnished for all seasons. The magnificent chandelier hanging above the lower part adds an exquisite air of the class that is almost stunning when you see it first. What Le Chalet gives that something extra though, is the little touches that make you feel good! On the counter there is a small bowl of tiny folded pieces of paper perched with a small shield above, which says a quote. This little gesture made us feel not only satisfied, but, really inspired and we think that is a rare performance for a café / restaurant! If you haven't visited yet, you have no idea what you're missing. We are looking forward to our next visit! Le Chalet is not only the jewel in the crown, it is the precious pearl!"

I usually order the salad, which has had some of its ingredients reduced over the past eight months, but it's still quite tasty. Most of the menu options are burgers, so a bit more variety would be appreciated."

"This is a cute little cafe with lovely staff but the prices are reasonably high and I agree with previous reviewer the breakfast is not freshly cooked. Sausage was very browned from sitting in heat too long , bacon was dry and hard, homemade baked beans were mush in a small container and mushrooms withered . Eggs were obviously freshly cooked but on one piece of over toasted bread. Not very enjoyable. I think if you are going to charge over £16 for this plate of food and a cup of tea it needs to be much much better. Won't be returning for this reason. For this price there are too many other options with better standards."

"Very long wait for our 2 cocktails. 20 minutes. Worst disaronno sour I have had. Very sickly. Perhaps just a case of the wrong staff at the wrong time but to have a sign outside saying best cocktails in town I feel you should live up to this. Great shame as the music and atmosphere were nice. Having already chased the delivery of our cocktails we gave up commenting afterwards on their poor quality and just left. "Disappointing. We have had many nice meals here so was looking forward to our evening back here. First thing we were waiting mins for water and drinks which we had asked for twice. Second thing was our starters had arrived â¦ the table next to ours had already sent back their calamari starter as it wasnât cooked enough. Our calamari arrived and we asked if it could be cooked a little more so off it went never to return. My daughters starter had also arrived but as she ordered something different after mins of waiting for ours to arrive she tucked into hers. Eventually managed to track down a waitress to ask where our calamari was it turned up in takeaway boxes. Off it goes again â¦ another mins I had to again try and grab a waitresses attention to ask where our starter was. By this point weâve been at our table nearly an hour and a half. I said enough was enough as there was no sign of our food arriving and if we could have the bill minus the service charge. The manageress came over as she had been told we werenât happy and in fairness could not apologise enough. I did explain things would have been better if their staff were more focused on customer service and just keeping customers informed as to what was going on etc as it was so obvious how long we were sitting there without food .. or drinks ! They did not charge us for our bottle of wine or the one starter we had. Overall I think they were having a bad night as we were hearing other tables complaining and as we were walking out the door another customer was asking for the Manager. I hope they get back to how they were as itâs a lovely place to go."

"We made a reservation for a party of 8, including 2 people with dietary restrictions which were communicated in advance. All the orders were taken and delivered smoothly. Due to not being able to pre-select menu choices, there was a slight delay in getting our food (especially considering it was a Friday night), but the wait was worth it. The dishes were delicious and well-presented, with the steak being cooked perfectly. The only difficult part was deciding what to order, as everything on the menu sounded appealing. The service was attentive but not overbearing, striking a perfect balance. We were so impressed that we have already made another reservation and are looking forward to returning. What more could you ask for in a recommendation?"

"We walked in and weren’t greeted for around 5 minutes, we then asked if we could order some breakfast at 10:45 AM, which the waitress replied ‘not sure, you only have 15 minutes’ even though the menus outside stated breakfast was served until 11:30. We then went back outside to decide what we wanted to order, and came back in and again weren’t greeted for a while, it seemed the staff were too busy wanting to chat as it was dead empty and no one else was there to be served. She then came round to the bar and took our order, I asked for a coffee and a pint of water with ice and lemon and then ordered some food. We paid and then the drinks arrived shortly outside which my coffee was then spilt all over the edge and then no water. 20 minutes later our breakfast arrived, missing half of the food and was given no cutlery which we had to then ask for. None of the staff seemed to check and ask how the food and drinks were and when giving us our drinks or food they didn’t even speak just slammed them down on the table. Very poor experience which is a shame as Marlow is such a lovely area. I would avoid this place and check out the other pubs that I’m sure have staff that are willing to serve you and not make it seem like a hassle when customers walk in. Will not be returning."

"we visited here on the day we moved out of liverpool to the south. we decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal before we drive to the house to crash for the night and to buy and unpack the next day. we did not know the area and decided to make only one trip and see what we found. we stumbled on a road sign for the lions in wendlebury. when we arrived, the building looked absolutely beautiful from the outside, the hanging baskets made it really so inviting and beautiful and the flower colors were really nice and gave a fab scent. so first impressions were really good. we went in and were pleasantly surprised, we asked if they had space for us, and they did. the host asked if we had been before what we said we had not done so that we showed the three different restaurants from which we could choose, and there is really something for everyone. from a bar/sub area, to a chic restaurant area, to a fabulous escaping area in the open. we decided to sit outside as the night was glorious, and we sat next to the kitchen and facing a beautiful open fire, the furniture was comfortable and clean and very well presented and well maintained without seeing a mark on the glass table top. the waitresses were incredibly attentive and polite, nothing was too much to ask, and the service was fast and to a very high standard. the eating was extraordinary, the children's meals were of an extremely high standard and the adult meals were perfect. the kitchen was open, and we could see inside and the place looked flawless. there were always people who care about eating as soon as the bell went for the service, and there were many employees milling to meet the needs of the customers as soon as they were needed. the atmosphere was also wonderful. it is now my favorite place to go for everyone, and if someone needs a master class, how to do things in a local operation to accommodate all culinary experiences, then this is the place to visit. everything from external and internal facilities was perfectly clean, well presented and well thought-out. I can't judge this place high enough and if they haven't been, they have to visit. a job that is well done by all."

"The dining experience at the Worlington Hall restaurant is sure to impress any food lover! I enjoyed several entrées for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with each dish showcasing unique flavor combinations and incredible taste. I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding, and the eggs benedict and avocado toast at breakfast were equally outstanding. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who were delightful and welcoming. The property features a lovely green space with a walking trail and access to a small river, creating a serene atmosphere. My experience was truly elegant, fit for royalty! My stay at Worlington Hall was fantastic, and I will definitely return. The hotel left a lasting impression with its trustworthy and hospitable owners and staff. Rooms: The accommodations featured comfortable bedding, each with a distinctive theme and antique furnishings. All rooms included extra amenities such as a mini fridge, daily restocked coffee, tea, and treats, as well as an iron, hair dryer, and plug adapters for guests from the United States who may have forgotten theirs. Food and drinks: The cuisine at the Worlington Hall restaurant was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The service was exemplary, with staff providing prompt and friendly attention."

"sally lunn's historical eat house is a restaurant and teestube is built in the house oldest in bath (around 1482). in the seventeenth century the young French sally lunnn worked on a bakery and created a kind of brioche that went on to become the famous bungalow. the place is still popular today and serves a lot of delicious rolls, both sweet and hearty."

"The accommodation was very pleasant although the large number of cushions were a nuisance. There were a couple of defects that should have been noticed before we arrived. There were two blown bulbs in the overhead lighting making it difficult to read after dark. They were quickly replaced after we told the staff. The W.C. seat was loose, making it a bit awkward to use. All else was fine in the room. The meal was not at all satisfactory. I had the pheasant dish, and it was very tough due to being overcooked. I had to request a sharp knife, but was unable to recover all the leather like meat. The potato had the distinctive stale taste that comes from re-heating. My wife's fish dish was also overcooked and was tough, odd for a fish. We had two gin and tonics which appeared to have very little gin, if any. We will not be returning for another visit."

"Their reservation system made a mistake with our booking so we had to sit at the bar for 45 minutes. Not the end if the world, we just had a cocktail while we waited. Food wise they twice forgot the order of a side salad, the hangar steak was overcooked and the blackened sweet potato was a bit meh. But the homemade hummus was insanely good, the fried haloumi was tasty as hell and the lamb koftas were really good. Overall it had really bad and really good points, so a bit tough to judge. The service was very good and the staff offered us complimentary drinks due to the reservation mistake. So all in all, it was a good evening."

"This was our second visit to the restaurant, and unfortunately, it did not live up to our first experience. The service was poor, and the atmosphere was not as good as before. It seemed like there may have been a change in management or the manager was no longer there. They had loud music playing, not just background music, but bands like The Killers, which gave more of a bar vibe than a nice restaurant feel. Initially, we thought there was a party happening in the back room, but the music was only in our dining area and seemed to be more for the staff than the customers. The food was okay, but it was overshadowed by the disappointing service and loud music."
