"A really beautiful place. Staff courtesy and friendly, but rather distracted after we have our meal. As a vegetarian, my only main course option was a potato cake with asparagus in a creamy sauce. A side dish instead of a main course, as there was no protein, but expensive for what it was."

"Called in for lunch, very pleasant atmosphere and ambiénce, Maitré D was a friendly, helpful, and charming guy, professional to a tee. I was slightly disappointed in the lunchtime menu selections available (hence 4 stars, not 5), as it was mainly burgers, steak, or Fish and chips for the mains. Evening selection is much more varied. Sandwiches served to a nearby table looked fantastic. My fault, I should have checked the menu first. That said, we opted for steaks, which were very nice, mushrooms and tomatoes that accompanied the steaks were full of flavour, the chips were very nicely cooked and presented too. Sometimes a meal is as much about the occasion as it is the food (no complaints) and we had a very enjoyable lunch. I would certainly call again if we were in the area."

"Our experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The food was overcooked and it took twenty five minutes to bring a bottle of wine, with two people having to crawl into a cupboard to find it. The wine arrived after we had finished our starters. Using the toilet was a very unpleasant experience, as it was in a disgusting condition and unflushed. After quietly pointing this out to one of the chefs, they apologized and cleaned it. The waitress then informed us that it had been cleaned. We were taking my son, who is at university in Leeds, out for dinner as he loves French food. Despite the nice staff, it was a horrible evening and we would not return to this restaurant."

"Whilst the afternoon tea was nice I do think £34.00 per person was a lot for what it was. Its also a bit of a hidden cost as the menu just states £34.00 but when you get there you find out this is in fact £34.00 per person. There was only 2 of us so seems ridiculous you pay double for the same amount 1 person would get and whilst the selection was nice and enough for both of us, we did feel overpriced."

"The one-man bar team was slow, the cider was off. When we went to be seated we were told there was no booking, I offered to show them my confirmation email, there was lots of chat between the two waitresses but they insisted there was no booking. Eventually they logged into the opentable app, where my booking appeared. We were told it was not their fault and they didn't know why I'd booked via that app (it's on the link from their website) When we were seated we were informed 2 of the roast meats had sold out which left only beef, at 1400 on a Sunday I was quite surprised by this and have to assume the kitchen is very poorly stocked. To be fair, the food was good but the overall experience was very underwhelming."

"Food was fine but not outstanding and certainly over priced for comparative local eateries. Staff were pleasant and polite however I find it irritating when no staff are present in the restaurant as they are totally absorbed in the bar area on their mobile phone. 3 out 5 stars in my opinion is a fair reflection of the evening although the food itself was probably worth nearer 4 stars"

"We walked in and weren’t greeted for around 5 minutes, we then asked if we could order some breakfast at 10:45 AM, which the waitress replied ‘not sure, you only have 15 minutes’ even though the menus outside stated breakfast was served until 11:30. We then went back outside to decide what we wanted to order, and came back in and again weren’t greeted for a while, it seemed the staff were too busy wanting to chat as it was dead empty and no one else was there to be served. She then came round to the bar and took our order, I asked for a coffee and a pint of water with ice and lemon and then ordered some food. We paid and then the drinks arrived shortly outside which my coffee was then spilt all over the edge and then no water. 20 minutes later our breakfast arrived, missing half of the food and was given no cutlery which we had to then ask for. None of the staff seemed to check and ask how the food and drinks were and when giving us our drinks or food they didn’t even speak just slammed them down on the table. Very poor experience which is a shame as Marlow is such a lovely area. I would avoid this place and check out the other pubs that I’m sure have staff that are willing to serve you and not make it seem like a hassle when customers walk in. Will not be returning."

"We had lovely evening the atmosphere was great the service was excellent all the staff were very friendly and attentive. "we visited here on the day we moved out of liverpool to the south. we decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal before we drive to the house to crash for the night and to buy and unpack the next day. we did not know the area and decided to make only one trip and see what we found. we stumbled on a road sign for the lions in wendlebury. when we arrived, the building looked absolutely beautiful from the outside, the hanging baskets made it really so inviting and beautiful and the flower colors were really nice and gave a fab scent. so first impressions were really good. we went in and were pleasantly surprised, we asked if they had space for us, and they did. the host asked if we had been before what we said we had not done so that we showed the three different restaurants from which we could choose, and there is really something for everyone. from a bar/sub area, to a chic restaurant area, to a fabulous escaping area in the open. we decided to sit outside as the night was glorious, and we sat next to the kitchen and facing a beautiful open fire, the furniture was comfortable and clean and very well presented and well maintained without seeing a mark on the glass table top. the waitresses were incredibly attentive and polite, nothing was too much to ask, and the service was fast and to a very high standard. the eating was extraordinary, the children's meals were of an extremely high standard and the adult meals were perfect. the kitchen was open, and we could see inside and the place looked flawless. there were always people who care about eating as soon as the bell went for the service, and there were many employees milling to meet the needs of the customers as soon as they were needed. the atmosphere was also wonderful. it is now my favorite place to go for everyone, and if someone needs a master class, how to do things in a local operation to accommodate all culinary experiences, then this is the place to visit. everything from external and internal facilities was perfectly clean, well presented and well thought-out. I can't judge this place high enough and if they haven't been, they have to visit. a job that is well done by all."

"This was my first time at Worlington hall and had heard so many good things about the newly refurbished grand hotel. Firstly the food is faultless and beautifully presented. The drink orders were wrong, the staff were too busy, the service was very slow and they had run out of certain items which we were not told until we got our food. A large group that was next to us ruined our evening. Loud and the children were around at half ten at night, it sounds petty but it was really annoying. I will go back and hopefully it will be a better experience. A beautiful setting with lots to like."

"The shared mezza for three of us had four small pieces of bread only not enough When ordering the sirloin I was not asked if I would like it pink or well done but when the well done arrived and I asked for pink this was brought and looked good. However, it was tender but tasteless. I left about a third of the meat portion. The beef in the mixed roast was dry and curled and my guest said it looked like it had been under the heating lamp too long so he left that part of the meal. We passed these remarks onto a very pleasant waitress after paying and she did offer us a drink but we had already had our post meal drinks. The chicken meal was good and enjoyed by the third member of our party."

"The accommodation was very pleasant although the large number of cushions were a nuisance. There were a couple of defects that should have been noticed before we arrived. There were two blown bulbs in the overhead lighting making it difficult to read after dark. They were quickly replaced after we told the staff. The W.C. seat was loose, making it a bit awkward to use. All else was fine in the room. The meal was not at all satisfactory. I had the pheasant dish, and it was very tough due to being overcooked. I had to request a sharp knife, but was unable to recover all the leather like meat. The potato had the distinctive stale taste that comes from re-heating. My wife's fish dish was also overcooked and was tough, odd for a fish. We had two gin and tonics which appeared to have very little gin, if any. We will not be returning for another visit."

"Yesterday evening to jan. we were not sure what is to be expected from keeping the name of the facility. but a short look at the menu and we were thrilled by innovative, modern tonal dishes. I have to say that eating was not disappointed, in the opposite. a strong selection of Persian style tapas dishes or small teller . the harissa dressing bow steak was so professionally cooked that if I had closed my eyes, I could have been a table in to michelin star restaurant. the dishes were all fresh, delightful fragrant and boiled. that comes from a real foodie. gluten-free and there were many options for me and they have clearly marked a menu to help us with our decisions. the service was very good. it was friendly and attentive and they tried hard, but it felt overall a lack of consistency in standard of experience and education. although we have looked around and visited each other. my only critique was the strange choice of music. sounds like one of the waitress took over the sound system with her own music taste, which felt somewhat uncongruens for the entire ambiente. the last word must be over the decor. charming. both modern with a pub to the Persian verb, it was a pleasant firm for my eyes. as a design fan I was particularly impressed by the choice of lighting, they could have been very at home in one of the kind after overpriced w1 restaurants: overall very happy with this inadvertent fund. If I were in the Clapham area, I would definitely go back to explore more about the menu."

"This was our second visit to the restaurant, and unfortunately, it did not live up to our first experience. The service was poor, and the atmosphere was not as good as before. It seemed like there may have been a change in management or the manager was no longer there. They had loud music playing, not just background music, but bands like The Killers, which gave more of a bar vibe than a nice restaurant feel. Initially, we thought there was a party happening in the back room, but the music was only in our dining area and seemed to be more for the staff than the customers. The food was okay, but it was overshadowed by the disappointing service and loud music."
