"Vegetarian Options (Vegan upon request) WHAT WE HAD (3 Pax): 5 A Day £4.75] – Mint, Blackberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, Greek Yoghurt and Apple Juice; Radiant Roots £5.95] – Apple, Carrot, Ginger, Celery and Fennel; Golden Mango £4.50] – Mango, Tumeric, Yoghurt and Almond Milk; Full Veggie (Specially Made Vegan) £8.95] – Beans, Spinach, Mushrooms, Avocado, Grilled Tomato and Toast; Buttermilk Chicken and Waffle £8.95] – Avocado, Sour Cream, Jalapenos and Chilli Maple Syrup I came here for breakfast with my friends as they wanted to try the Buttermilk Chicken and Waffle. I did know that they have vegetarian options from the menu we saw the day before, but wasn’t sure if they had anything vegan. It turns out that they did not have any specifically vegan items on the menu. However, the waitress and kitchen was very accommodating and made modifications to the full veggie breakfast for me. It was your typical full breakfast made vegan that was simple and cooked well with fresh produce. I really appreciate how helpful and accommodating the staff were, especially in answering my questions in assuring me it was vegan. Really made me feel at ease. My friends enjoyed their Buttermilk Chicken and Waffle too which was a good portion too. We all loved the juice and smoothies we ordered as well! We also had a look at their cocktail menu which intrigued us. Excellent customer service, good vibes with the bright and fun décor that is still classy, good food at reasonable prices, I do see myself coming back here for dinner/to try their cocktails if I find myself in Edinburgh again."

"Very disappointing. We received poor service for our corporate group yesterday. I had this work social booked in advance, pre paid and yet there was no organisation on their end. The host assigned to our group lacked basic customer service skills and co ordination. For the first 30 minutes of our arrival, I was constantly pestered by her for numerous reasons, which could’ve been resolved had she been more prepared and organised; 1. To pay and put down a card – I explained the tab was already paid for and showed her the email which she finally took my word for 2. The original agreement was to say our company name at the bar, however after our arrival, she told us this was changing to a green numbered card which I understood why and complied. I asked for 2 3 cards for the group, and we were only given 1 to share amongst the large group which was not practical in the slightest 3. The tab was rinsed within 15 minutes of our arrival…I asked her for a copy of the receipt and I saw service charge was added twice alongside unrecognisable drinks. It was very difficult to challenge the charges whilst simultaneously greeting arrivals of our group and showing them where our tables were this again was bad service on The Folly's end. We were then forced to open a new tab 4. We were moved from our original pre booked tables to a small, dingy, dark corner that we were told would be large enough to accommodate, however there were many complaints of how cramped it was and if we could move back to our old section, to which the host replied very rudely with ‘no, this is all you get’ 5. Some of the bar staff were incredibly rude and slow to take orders, they were busy chatting and laughing instead of serving. As a first timer here, and part of a corporate booking this was totally below expectations and embarrassing to our clients who later joined our group. I selected this bar as it’s local to the office and looked great from the outside, however the poor service, lack of professionalism and basic organisation marks this venue as horrific, money grabbing and one to avoid in future. This venue seems to take advantage of corporate bookings and will rip you off."
