We had a great Christmas party at The Refinery. It was our first one since the pandemic, so we really hoped it was going to be a special one! Everything from the planning process to the actual event on the day was very smooth and we had a fantastic evening! Massive thank you to the team!

Went for a Christmas cafch up with a group of friends. The music was so loud you had to shout to even speak to the person next to you. Food was churned out and my main course was stone cold which was they reheated . Tasteless and not seasoned . Disappointing not the ambience for a restaurant , more a club with banging beats .

Went for a work meal. The food and drink were nice and the service was great. But the music was SO LOUD you had to really shout to talk to your neighbour and lean right over the table and shout to talk the person opposite. Not a relaxing night out. I was searching for places to eat in the local area and this place popped up. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely exquisite, Sofia, an an exquisite waitress and total customer care, suggested as a starter the fish tortilla and as main, it was my first time to try a sea food carbonara,i do actually meet the chef Felice after lunch, while was not busy, for congratulating whit him. If they put as much effort into the food as they do the decor they would be far better off. The squash soup I started with was quite good, very tasty. The Old Fashioned I had to drink was also very good, albeit maybe a bit too sweet. The buttermilk chicken sandwich however, was bland and tasteless. The piece of buttermilk fried chicken was lukewarm at best and quite dry. I saw them take it out of the warming oven so it did not appear to be cooked fresh but rather reheated, quite poorly I might add. The bun was falling apart and the only thing in the sandwich was a piece of lettuce and a glob of mayo. First of all, my meal (the chicken and chestnut mushroom pie) was TO DIE FOR. It was flavorful, flaky, and cooked perfectly! And the sauce was delicious. The atmosphere definitely makes the place worth trying. It’s almost like a modern indoor garden. However, for the negatives: My husband got one of the steaks which had an amazing bearnaise sauce but the meat itself was way over cooked. But the main reason for the low rating is because of the service. Our server was a young male with a heavy accent and the most quiet voice.
