"My main memory of this restaurant was how cold it was. It is a large, open space that was not well-heated, and they had rugs and blankets on the chairs inside. There was a constant draft because some of the doors didn't have handles on the inside, making it difficult to close them. The food was decent, but the portion sizes varied greatly - the roast chicken breast was very small, while the chicken burger was huge. The service was not great; they didn't have our reservation, we waited 20 minutes to place our order, and the waitress didn't understand the difference between dairy-free and gluten-free. Once the hostess got involved, the service improved. A quick drink after work would probably be fine, but otherwise I wouldn't bother."

The vegan burger was terrible. Please bring back the mountain burger!

Service was slow and there were not many customers. Food was good. Expensive though.

Service was poor, spent most of the time looking for a waiter rather than facing my lunching partner

The restaurant was out of a lot of food. The atmosphere was great as far as decor and vibes but it was very empty. View menu

The food was quite disappointing and arrived nearly an hour after we placed our order, cold, and only after a different member of the kitchen staff checked if we were going to order any food.

the ambiente was good. most of us wanted the wagyu burger but they ran out of this option. I had a cheeseburger who was good and the riders I had ordered were excellent. who had ordered cheesburger was happy. but two of my fellow colleagues had ordered thun-fish salad and lemon chicken and the dishes looked disappointing and they said it tasted bad.

the menu is very odd... not even close to being vegan (they have burgers and other meat dishes) their only 'cheese ' is vegan. at lunch, their salads have a really strange combo of ingredients, (like sauerkraut) and, also oddly, have no sandwiches... it is a casual place with a limited menu (most of the same ingredients appear in various dishes) ... offering better options that are easy to prepare would make some sense. on the bright side, outdoor seating option right behind the tate modern is xlnt... and why i booked it! Sorry to say my party of 5 was very disappointed at the Refinery last Friday. My husband tried about four times to get a beer while waiting for our other three friends. He was told he couldn’t order from the bar yet no waiter came to take his order. The worst part of the evening was that even though we were quite far away from the tv rugby game, the noise level was sky high. First with music far too loud and then with raucous cheering. Nice for rugby fans but terrible for us. We couldn’t hear the person sitting right next door to us. It was all in all a very unpleasant dinner. And we won’t be returning. We did ask several times for the music and noise to be reduced but nothing happened.

I didn’t have a great experience. I ordered the bruschetta meant it was ok missing flavour and only 1/2 an olive in the topping mix. Then I had the salmon where it was bone galore. When bring it up the waitress was great, however the manager not so much. Got told they buy it in from a supplier stating it’s boneless but they have no way to control this, they need to relook at suppliers in my view rather than just make excuses. Also, drink service was slow, saw a drink that we’d ordered on the side for a good 10mins before being brought over in the midst of all the excuses about the food. Sadly I won’t recommend this place. Managers need to take more accountability rather than playing the blam...
