"The staff was excellent, and the wine and whiskey were quite good. However, the food was just average. I started with the pigeon; the menu mentioned breast and wing, so I expected one of each, but I received four wings that were tough and had so little meat that they wouldn’t have satisfied a pigeon, especially for £14. On the plus side, the black pudding was enjoyable. The main courses were alright, but nothing worth raving about."

"I've been using Natural Spice for years and years. After the last change of management or refurb, the food only got better but strangely the Poppadoms got a little soft. I didn't give on and they have nailed it Okay it's a small detail but when the food gets better and that first pompom doesn't crunch, it smarts a bit Happy to say they fixed the smallest detail. This isn't Indian. It's British Indian food with Arabic and Mediterranean flavours. I recommend that you deep dive the menu and don't be afraid to ask them to add subtract and mix ingredients for you #natspicebromance"

"Recently ordered a FULL lamb chasni which should come with both rice and naan, however only received rice. My bottle of coke was also out of date. Called up to rectify the issue and initially it sounded like they will send a naan to me, then got a call back 2 minutes later to say it doesn't come with a naan, a full is either rice or naan, I pointed out that is not what it says on the menu.. they blamed the host of the menu (Being Just Eat). I took him at his word, seemed weird, but arranged to have a free drink next order. Later I talked to a couple of people who use the take away regularly, they told me yes it should come with both, I checked a competitor to JE they use Scoffable says the exact same thing comes with both, and a physical menu I had also says the same thing. So they guy actually lied to me to save himself sending out a naan, even though he was going to send a driver back for a refund for the drink initially. Really Really sad, the food quality was actually good... it was soured by a lie to save a couple of pounds. Now word of mouth will spread with some people and they lost customers already from the 2 that spoke to me. Absolutely silly thing to do."

"We have always been a fan of Honest Burger and tend to look them up when in London. However tonight’s experience was poor. Had to ask for a menu after sitting at our table for a number of minutes. The server was apologetic but you need to do better, spend less time chatting to the Deliveroo guys and focus on the Customers in the restaurant. But I’m afraid that the state of the toilets will mean we won’t be coming back. I reckon festival toilets are in better condition than the ones in Meard St. They were dirty, smelly, and in a poor state of repair we will miss the burgers but not the dining experience."

"I opted for the healthiest thing on the menu! "I have been a big fan of the Red Tiffin for a while now. It is the best South Asian takeaway in the area with a good selection of meat-free options. However, I have had some mixed experiences with the staff at the counter. One of them is incredibly friendly and sweet, but there is another guy who can be quite rude. Unfortunately, his attitude has made me hesitant to order from here. It's a shame because other than that, I have had no other issues with this place."

"The orders were mixed up at this restaurant, the salad was dry, and the cucumber looked like it was sprouting another life form (as seen in the picture). When I called to complain, I first spoke with a woman who seemed new and didn't know much, so I was transferred to another employee who was very rude. He tried to claim I was at a different address and said they always have problems with me, even though I am not at the address he mentioned. He abruptly hung up on me."

"Made plans to come here for lunch after a morning visit to Camera Obscura which is just a little way up the mile. Been here before years ago loved it…love it still! Great ambience, fantastic service and amazing food all hot, fresh and tasty. Large portions too! I can definitely recommend the haggis bites they’re delicious. Shout out to our sever Sophie who was lovely; welcoming, friendly efficient. Love this place will return."

"Seriously, don't order from this place unless you want your money, time and consume terrible food. It's just one of the worst fish and chips and kebabs I've ever eaten. The fish and chips were boiled and the amount of oil and fat on it was laid by this world. The Kebab Special was atrocious!. I never had a kebab covered with cheese sauce and had such a high quality and tasteless meat that was on the edge of the finish. the chili sauce tasted strange. More than 75 percent of the entire meal went into the container"

Ordered a Margarita Pizza and ended up with Cheese n...bean Pizza! Why would you? It was awful. Chicken was dry and inedible. Shame as it's location is prime and very visible. "that was our third job and totally disappointed. it was a late evening, given 45 minutes for the delivery time. after 70 minutes they had to hunt, with the excuse they were “very busy” (everyone tried to call?j. 90 minutes later a poor extradition child was given. his ear bent; and the warm eating was not even the right meal. £20 in the bin .and I know they don't apologize. never again."
