"Summary: We wouldn’t go back at all and sadly, would not recommend. Food ordered: Starters: Chicken Popcorn (2/5) Nice but tasted like KFC Salt Pepper Squid (4/5) It looked like sweet and sour chicken but it was tasty. French Fries (1/5) Tasted like chips with freezer burn Mains: The Buff Burger (3/5) A nice basic burger, reminded me of a burger from a van. Grilled King Prawn Skewers: (0/5) Awful, so underwhelming given the title. They definitely did not use King Prawns and it definitely was not restaurant quality in terms of presentation or flavour even for a diner. This was quite bland and supposedly took over an hour to prepare. They need to go to Billingsgate invest in some actual King Prawns. Sides: (These actually came with our Starters we waited so long for Mains that we’d finished by then) Return of the Mac (5/5) The Man N Cheese was really tasty, and a nice portion size too. Plantain: (5/5) Good portion size, nice and juicy. French Fries: (1/5) Still tasted like chips with freezer burn. Drinks: Pushing Pina (5/5) Orange Juice Pros: we were running late, when I called to move the booking it was done without an issue. The lady on the phone even explained that they had a booking of 45 people and the kitchen was very busy so moving our booking later would work out well because the kitchen would be less busy by the time we arrived. The starters and sides came out quickly with out drinks The salt and pepper squid was the nicest starter we tried, it looked like sweet and sour chicken but it was tasty. The Manager was polite, efficient and had really good customer service skills. We’d cancelled the order due to the wait time but the manager reinstated it and gave us complimentary take away boxes. Cons: We had a booking but the waitress that greeted us looked confused as to what to do or where to seat us. The place lacked ambience and the music playing was notably terrible. Even after moving our booking to a time that worked better around the booking of 45 people, the mains took over an hour to arrive. We saw four people that walked in after us get 4 burgers whilst we waited an hour for just one. we had to get back by a certain time so we cancelled the order due to the wait time and discrepancies on how long it would take from different waitresses. Other than the manager, the staff we saw seemed miserable. Maybe a team visit to another restaurant could give them an insight into the customer service they should aim to deliver and also raise morale."

"Won’t be back. As regulars of the Catch it is with real disappointment that I am writing this review. We regularly go with both friends and family but Sunday the 9th April was our last visit. We had purchased vouchers via Itison, a great deal but unfortunately in error had redeemed 2 £60 vouchers instead of a £60 and a £30. We asked for one voucher to be cancelled as we knew that we wouldn’t spend that much. The manager said she would try her best to get it sorted for us, the waiter then told us not to worry, even if it couldn’t be cancelled something would be sorted out for us. We therefore continued to order our usual haddock and chips. The manager came up as we were eating, apologised and said she had been unable to cancel the voucher so we would just need to order other things from the menu. I asked if it was possible for an IOU to be provided and we would return and spend the rest( and more) she told us this was not possible and we would just need to order from the menu. After telling the waiter to tell us not to worry something would be sorted, actually no it wasn’t. We were left to purchase from the dessert menu which was not great considering we were all full from our main meal and our previous experiences with this at the Catch had been extremely poor so we said we would never get a dessert from here again. We ordered 4 sticky toffee puddings and a sorbet. The sorbet was 10 scraped bits of ice cream that had freezer burn, priced at £5.50. The sticky toffee pudding was awful, it was a cold block of pudding with a thin drizzle of sauce and the smallest blob of ice cream. This was priced at £6.95. At these prices you would expect so much more and at least for it to taste good. No one came to ask how dessert was or to check in on us and we left deflated and annoyed. We will not be back!"

"So I'm on a mission to lose some weight and get healthy, my daughter was adamant she wanted to come here for dessert. We heard it was under new management, so we were a little apprehensive. However, I enjoyed it before, but I used always get a waffle. We walked in, and the new owner was there to greet us. He told me straight away there weren't any waffles available, and to have some would be a half-hour wait. The waffles were the reason we went. I almost walked out of there, but my daughter wanted the ice cream instead. So we were a group of My children made their order and enjoyed it; the youngest one went for that blue ice cream. She enjoyed it but wasn't a fan of bits that were in it. The other three enjoyed their desserts. I thought I'd get a sundae; call it a proper cheat day (I have a lot of them). I got the chocolate sundae, and for once in my life, it was perfect. Not too sweet I felt sick, but just right so I could enjoy it and finish it off. Great value for money, and the customer service was flawless. I told my daughters to go make their orders, but the older were being shy, so when I was sitting on the table asking one of them what they wanted, I repeated it loud enough the owner got the gist of what I was doing, and was in the ball. Really nice desserts, couldn't recommend it enough. Will be back maybe even tomorrow for a waffle. Just gotta watch those calories. Lol."

"As summer is fast aproaching the hearty desserts like Jam rolly polly is put to one side and makes why for the lighter while still flavoursome desserts like Crepes and pancakes. I must confess I 'm more of team 'pancake ' than team crepe and for those cynics out there believe me their is a difference. However a certain little Brazilian Creperie may have changed the balance in this regard. Senzala based in the heart of Brixton Market is an inviting small restaraunt with friendly staff and with so many restaurant competing and vying for customers, it is very impressive to see Senzala is always bustling with customers and standing their ground. What is so impressive about Senzala is the options, it can 't be just considered a place you go after a meal for desert, it could easily and most of the time has appealed as a place to go and enjoy a caipirinha or two (which they have a strawberry version, worth a try) and enjoy the many options from tapas to salad to savoury crepes consisting of cheese,Italian sausage and peppers (the godfather) to sweet crepes (sweet sin) grilled banana, Belgian chocolate, splash of rum and ice cream all rolled into one flavoursome dish. With the option of eating inside or out and staff that will tend to your foody whims it most certainly a place to check out.
