"After seeing a lot about this restaurant online, myself and my daughter visited yesterday. On arrival we were told to go upstairs and take any seat we were the only ones there), on climbing the stairs we were sitting in a very strong smell from the fryers, not helped by the open windows that kept the smell from lessening, ordered 2 soft drinks from the list, but one wasn't available. We didn't wait too long for our order to be taken, while waiting I could see over the balcony one one of the girls working continuously pick at her hair while standing beside the service counter and fryers. After a wee while the food arrived, I had the battered fish with the twice fried chips, my daughter opting for the sausage, after a small bite of the crispy fish, I had a chip, or should I say........less than Luke warm chip, my daughter dipped a chip in her curry sauce very nice sauce) only to find hers were cold also. I caught the eye of the waitress and asked yo to come to the table, we told her the chips were cold, very apologetically she told us she would get some more. After a while she returned with fresh ones, but by this time we had finished our fish and sausage, but to be honest, the plate the food was served on was cold, .. a basic mistake by putting food that wasn't fully hot on a cold plate wasn't ever going to work. It was a bit disappointing eating hot chips while the cold one were still on the plate , all in all the fish was OK, but, OK only, no more than that, the sausage and curry sauce rated a bit better for my daughter. At £29.90 for the experience..........we weren't overly impressed."

Go here for the fried fish and other tempura fried seafood. Definitely one of the best fish and chips spots in the UK. Not fancy fare or a particularly fancy atmosphere, just great food! Personally I think their skinny fries are their best fries, but to each their own. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

Nice place. Friendly staff. I'd give it a 5 if we hadn't ordered the scampi which wasn't my favourite. The regular battered haddock tempura King Prawns were phenomenal. Had a takeaway here and was shocked to pay nearly £10 for a tiny portion of chips and fish. Given the amount your paying I expected alot more. Pickled onions were tiny compared with other chips shops I go to and they added so much salt I couldn't finish the meal . The best F&C's I have had. Looks like your normal shop but they do offer GF options in a separate fryer. GAME CHANGER! Food was fabulous, service was outstanding and the atmosphere was chilled and relaxed. Travelled a long way (from Australia and was not disappointed. Easy to find and deserves a visit. A decent portion of fish and chips, tasted good! This is more of a gourmet style fish and chips I prefer the chips you’d get from a chippy. The salt and pepper chips were the only let down, not what we were expecting. The restaurant layout and decor was very nice and our waiter was exceptionally friendly.
