"Genuinely one of my favourite high end restaurants! AMAZING food…great entertainment and very good atmosphere. Food is not halal but they have vegetarian and fish options available and they do serve mocktail as well as cocktails and alcohol here. Be aware that food arrives as it is cooked so there is no order as to how the food comes out. There is limited parking around the area so please bare that in mind if you plan to drive, otherwise Uber is a good alternative. The interior is so elegantly designed and the staff are welcoming (most of the time), there is a cloak room for your coats and items, just ask a waiter! The speedy wait time on food is definitely a plus! I highly recommend this restaurant, although please be advised it does get much louder in the evening after 10.30 so not very ideal after this point if you want to have serious conversations. Also note they have a reduced menu after 11.30pm. Fridays and Saturdays are very busy so I have noticed the quality of service drops a bit in comparison to the other days and I have encountered unfriendly stuff at the door especially during my last visit hence the rating. I found this upsetting because as I mentioned previously it is one of my favourite food places and appreciate the quality of food served. They have a live band/DJ in the evenings."

"gaucho is very renown for its incomparable Argentine steaks in the offer. to be fair when they are a bark lover, this place cannot disappoint them. the meat especially the ancho cut is absolutely sublime and quite literally melts in her mouth. the sides of gauchos are also very respectable, although veggies had come a bit cold last time, I visited the place. the service is excellent of what I remember and extremely professional. to be fair, you can say they expect this for the price they pay their flesh. that brings me out of my mind to the negative of gaucho. I would say that the decor is too dark and mysterious. I agree that this was nice when gaucho first came, but it has now reached a stage where it should refresh its vision and maybe go easier? second, the meat is good, but also very expensive for normal man. third, Argentine steak eating is terrible for the environmental consciousness and meets me every time I eat there. overall but, great place and luxurious eating. my advice: don't hesitate a second when they're looking for a big steak. gaucho is the place enjoys!"

"Amazing food as always, fantastic customer and delivery service. Very kind and polite, takes messages of food into account and prepares as requested. I have disabilities so I truly appreciate, staff's patience when delivering food. I feel guilty for constantly ordering from Balti Raj, I just can't stop. The food quality is amazing and honestly affordable. I have bought food from other restaurants, where the portion is just about enough for one person and everything is so expensive, that we have ended up going without food, at times. However, I have been grateful that we are getting something to eat and because of my grateful attitude. I have been blessed to remember about Balti Raj and we have been eating well since ordering from Balti Raj, Alhamdulillah. "Skylon is a curate 's egg. The location with stunning wide river view is hard to beat, but you are literally paying for that. The staff are welcoming and attentive (apart from not taking coats, which are hard to accomodate at the tables . Skylon 's prices in particular on drinks are over the top for the fare on offer. Skylon is the 'brasserie ' end ' of the room, but two of us still paid £150 for 2 courses each and a £40 bottle of wine between us (one of few 'affordable ' options on the list . My halibut was delicious but inexcusably tepid it was cooked OK so must have sat around before despatch to table. Frankly if I have to spend that much to enjoy this venue I will stick to the Skylon Grill at the other end of the room in future at least there are tablecloths and comfy seats there ; (However, I was lucky not to book there this time there was a large and very noisy party taking place in the Grill . Heads up for the over 40 's the dim lighting makes a nice ambience but doesn 't work well with menus printed in grey, small font. Reading glasses and phone light recommended!"

"We should have read the reviews before we came then perhaps we wouldn’t have come! The cocktails were lovely but sadly that is the only good thing to say about our experience. The staff with the exception of the manager were bored and had no clue what was going on, service was really slow and they acted like they’d rather be anywhere else but there and food was rubbish, cold and over priced! We were a party of 6 and the first meal came out a good 30 mins before the last meal which was then cold, when we queried this we were told it was because it’s Tapas! It’s literally pizza and tacos, my teenage kids could cook for 6 and make it be ready at the same time!! We were celebrating 2 birthdays, I’d dropped a cake off before arriving but they didn’t bring that, a celebration they sucked the life out. If you want a nice adult meal this is not the place for you, if you want cold food with bored slow staff and rubbish food this is the place for you so book now!!"

"Ordered a chefs special (Asian style) pizza however I received some random pizza with donner on it. Even the donner was raw and did not taste right so had to bin it. "This evening some friends and I ordered from Balti Spice from just eat and waited half an hour past the estimated delivery time to contact them. After ringing them them assured they delivered it to us (even though they didn't) and if we had wanted to take it further we should contact just eat. Just eat said they could do nothing until the restaurant autherised a refund of which they refused. Long story short we've been charged for a takeaway we never received and both Balti Spice and just eat refuse to admit they were in the wrong. If I were you I wouldn't take the risk and order from Balti Spice. I'd order from one of the many other Indian takeaways available in the area of which I'm sure you'd receive much better service from. It's extremely dissapointing after ringing Balti Spice twice and ringing just eat. What a waste of time and money"

"I got takeout today and I have to say, I was blown away by the curry I ordered. The Chicken Tikka main dish was phenomenal, with tender chicken and a side of fried mushrooms that were absolutely delightful. And let's talk about the vindaloo sauce - most places tend to make it milder than it should be, but not this restaurant. Their vindaloo sauce was spicy and packed with flavor, just the way it should be. Overall, I was very impressed and satisfied with my meal. Well done!"

"The Parlour is situated on the 1st floor of F&M, and I managed to stop by recently for some coffee and scones. Whilst the pricing isn’t cheap, I found the pricing of the coffee to be very expensive, and unfortunately not that good. £5.50 for a flat white really is the pushing it, but the least I would expect for that price is amazing coffee, which it was not. The scones were good, and came out warm, which is a bonus. The price of the scones in comparison to the coffee was actually ok. The cafe itself is a little on the cold side, and I’m not sure if that’s to do with the ice cream refrigerator, but I had to keep my coat on whilst I had my coffee."

"Over the past 20 months, I have had the pleasure of purchasing new audio equipment from The Sound Organization. The service and advice provided to me by Matt were excellent. I recently visited their location in York to demo the new speakers, the Donator D7.2, and the Rega Planar 8 turntable. After the demo, I decided to purchase both items as well as Atacama furniture. Once everything arrived, Matt offered to come to my house in Kendal in the Lake District to install the audio equipment. This was a fantastic service that I greatly appreciated. Matt provided recommendations on speaker cables and how to set up the turntable. I will definitely be using The Sound Organization for my audio needs in the future. Thank you."

"Sat down, days ago there to do some work on my laptop. Ordered a Hot Chocolate and macarons, looked suspicious as he didn’t type it in the system after still no one checked up on me or even asked or said anything. The...table that sat down after me got served. I had times the waitress looking at me, shortly after I realized i’m not welcomed there and also i’ve been looked down by them. It took me some time since i was busy on my laptop, but i guess that could be reason why they were not welcoming. Certainly packed my bags and left slowly and steady they had the same look during packing my stuff and still did not even bother with me, just straight up left me without even consider getting my order. Would never visit and also would definitely leave lower then if i could."

"Took a while for staff to come over and serve us. However once we caught their attention, the waitress was helpful with our order. They have an offer on for starters and a cocktail pitcher. The space is cosy, warm and welcoming and ideal for a catch up with friends. Only table service is allowed and cannot order at the bar due to COVID restrictions. "2nd delivery ordered after a few weeks of trying Miah takeaway. The food that was delivered was tasty as the 1st time was. That said the service was somewhat questionable!! Firstly a food delivery arrived within the said time! Unfortunately it was a meal for 1 when we’d ordered for a family of 4, it wasn’t anything we’d ordered! Then after numerous calls by my wife (mainly just cut off) once answered we got the standard ‘we’ve got a new driver making mistakes’ ‘we are really busy and it will be there soon’. 2hrs after order the correct food arrives ‘we’d been asked to keep the food that originally arrived’ and we sent that back untouched as I’m not disposing of their error, we also had a number of ordered and paid for accompaniments not in the delivery!! So as a few words of advice for a company that provides good tasty food, if you get the service right you could clear up in terms of market share in this area, unfortunately you are falling short at this moment in terms of consistent high service delivery."
