"Place was just shutting down (25th Feb 2018 is last day) before moving to a new location and that has affected both food and service (esp. service as they seemed understaffed). Have been a regular and hopefully the new location the place is back up to the high standards as was in the past"

"0 STARS!! I had to mark one to be able to post. Disgusting customer service/management. I have never spoken to such a rude and cheeky manager in my life. I ordered food yesterday which arrived over one hour later, all cold and short of one box of chips. When I called to complain, I was asked to call the day after as they were closing. I have called today reporting that one box was missing yesterday and that all food was cold and arrived after hours which was over an hour late from what was promised. The manager said that I want to get those chips today I have to pay for delivery or they can drop me pounds to my door for the chips but no chips. He also said to forget to get any compensation for anything else and made very rude remarks. If I knew the place was operated by such disgusting people I would have never in my life ordered anything from that shop. I paid for cold food which arrived after more than hours and without one box of chips and cheese. That is shocking and unacceptable. I will make sure that message is passed to everybody I know to warn them from ordering from this place."

"Great take away for Indian food. We tried the Saag Paneer Muttar and the garam masala. We also ordered the special rice and chicken fried rice. It was great! Definitely my go to Indian take out in Aberdeen! To our surprise, we ordered pizza and it was amazing!!! We could not believe how tasty it was! Of course it's not authentic pizza but it's an Indian pizza. The bread tasted like naan and it's amazing! There were so many dishes to choose from and it took us quite awhile to decide which one we wanted to order. We waited quite long for the order but definitely worth the wait."

"I have been a lifelong fan of Japanese cuisine and went most recently went to Tokyo in 2019. Chisou stands above the crowd of all fine dining Japanese restaurants I've been to outside Japan. My mum had been there one time prior and had an...amazing experience, my father and I both went for the first time tonight with her. The menu is a complex and interesting overview of all Japanese cuisine highlights, including a comprehensive menu of Sushi/Sashimi, Noodles (Udon/Soba), Teriyaki/Tempura, and some delightful takes on the traditional izakaya offering. They also offer an extensive sake menu, with some very unique items that complement whatever you choose to order. Beyond their superbly cultivated menu, the service at Chisou can only be described as exceptional. The entire staff truly care if you are having a good time, and are happily there to provide advice on guiding you through your meal. My dad is not a huge fan of raw seafood, and the sushi chef took an interest in challenging his hesitations- he offered us an incredible smoked mackerel as an amuse-bouche to test if my dad would like it, and he did. We ordered a number of starters- the gyoza, fried oysters, uni, and chuuka seaweed salad- all were superb. I was extremely impressed at the freshness and quality of the ingredients, as well as the beauty and care with presentation. For his main, my dad ordered the tofu steak, which was the most velvety and flavourful tofu we have had outside of our favourite place in Tokyo (called I <3 Gyoza). My mum and I had the sashimi omekase for 2, and the consideration from the chef was beyond exceptional. He asked us our preferences, my mum is a fan of ami ebi, I love tako and ika- all 3 were of the highest quality I've experienced. He also took a great interest in how we were enjoying things and continually provided advice or information about what we were eating. The waiting staff was also extremely caring and fun to speak with, and really were happy to see that we enjoyed ourselves. The manager also gave us a wonderful recommendation of an undistilled sake to go with our desserts, that was simply fabulous. Chisou is not just truly fantastic dining in terms of quality of food and service, but a theatrical experience that will make you feel as if you've teleported from London right into a Japanese izakaya. We have already booked a reservation to go back tomorrow and I cannot wait."

"Beautiful setting and lovely hotel. Bar and Restaurant is visually impressive. For Vegetarians, food was average in our opinion. Far too close to being a Vegan menu, little inspiration away from the actual cooked veg. Jerusalem Artichoke was a standout as were the x2 desserts. Other courses need more thought/imagination. Add a foam, pasta dish, egg? Can do so much more. Service also bit of a let down also. Nice head waiter but asking menu list number for wine selected and whether we wanted tea/coffee before we actually finished dessert wasn't in keeping with their aspiration of being a fine dining venue. Lady on service also seemed to take exception when we queried the lack of Goats Curd on main course. Rather than take the plate away to correct/redress, we were bought out the curd on a side dish. Head waiter did acknowledge error and did go out of his way to make amends. That was appreciated. Would return to hotel, but restaurant menu needs revamping"

"this restaurant deserves any good review that it has got! eating is amazing and the ambiente is just as good. in the rule Indian/pakistani restaurants with claws decoration and interiors, just because there are few restaurants. but this restaurant is very different. the restaurant is very beautiful from the inside and especially looks perfectly clean. we have not made the buffet option and have just decided to order from the menu. we ordered the chicken tikka masala, garnelen biryani and malai tikka boti. we loved eating, especially the huh tikka masala! that was the highlight of our meal, couple with the warm butternan. it was delicious! the biryani was a bit spicy, but still very tasty. I would recommend this place to everyone! go and see yourself!"

"Loved this place, really nice food good quality and reasonable price. Made my order on line, got a meal deal for over £30, but didn’t want 3 curries. Told them, no problem, really nice, had a glass of wine whilst waiting’ for my order I collected. Got home, guess waiting and we were item missing, called them, but the attitude of the guy who answered was shocking, he accused me of lying and said he had packed this himself, well it wasn’t and I wasn’t having this accusation. It wasn’t the fact it was 70p, or even £700, it was th the fact he was rude and started telling me about his banking issues. I’m done here, you keep the item, you’ve now lost a good customer. I won’t be spoken like this. You wasn’t busy as I was there, maybe thats why you’re losing customers, your treating them with contempt , if you need to lye to gain additional money, your not fit to trade, that’s stealing !"

"This is our favorite restaurant for a dinner night out, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I have celebrated my last three birthdays here and each experience has been fantastic. I am slowly working my way through the menu, and so far I have not tried a curry that I did not enjoy! The service is excellent, with a rating of 5 out of 5. The atmosphere is also a 5 out of 5. The recommended dishes are the Tandoori Fish and Chicken 65. The price per person for dinner ranges from £20-30."

"When the sashimi course came out, a different staff member mentioned “beef croquet” while describing the dishes. This raised a red flag, so I asked another staff member about it. She reassured me that it was potato and leek croquet and definitely contained no beef, apologizing for the confusion. I felt a bit more at ease when I cut it open, as it looked like a typical croquet. However, when I started eating it, the flavor reminded me of beef, and it made me feel ill—I almost had to spit it out. My partner also tried the same dish but didn’t recall tasting any beef. Since I was cautious about beef, I was more sensitive to the taste. It's possible they fried it in the same oil; I'm not sure. We each ordered a robata and a sushi omakase, with five courses each, but many of the courses were the same, which was a bit disappointing. Because of the croquet incident and the similarities in the courses, I would say this event turned out to be a mixed experience. The food was mostly good, though some dishes were not quite up to par. While the pricing felt slightly on the high side, it is London, so I suppose that's to be expected. I was also disappointed that the staff didn’t check in on how we were enjoying the courses when taking dishes away, especially in a restaurant of this caliber. On a positive note, the cake was delicious, the sashimi was excellent, and the grilled items were good too. I did find it a bit odd that some of the items on the plate were just sauces; I wouldn't expect to drink sauce like a soup. As for the deep-fried tomato, I would have preferred chicken instead, but that’s a minor detail. I think it would be helpful for the restaurant to provide a menu card so that customers can enjoy their omakase experience, particularly if they have any allergies."

"Jahingir in St. Andrews exceeded expectations with their Christmas Day experience. The cozy atmosphere and child-friendly environment made for a memorable celebration. Our table overlooking the fish pond added a peaceful touch to the festive event. The lunch was exceptional, showcasing the chef's culinary skills with each dish bursting with flavors. The impeccable service and festive decor made it a truly special Christmas dining experience. Jahingir is a hidden gem for those looking for great food, family-friendly atmosphere, and tranquility. "I 'm not normally one for complaining but on this occasion I feel like I have to. I placed an order at the weekend through Just Eat (my 1st time using this method) and was informed that the estimated delivery time was 8pm, okay a 90 min wait which I could just about live with. As it turned out we waited 2 hours which I find totally unacceptable, the restaurant is a mile and a half away from where I live. When the meal arrived it was missing the onion Bhajis that we ordered. Rang the restaurant and was told we could knock it off our next meal, err I don 't think so. I stated we wanted them with our meal but apparently they were very busy and would deliver them as soon as possible, I 'm still waiting 2 days later. Thinking things couldn 't get any worse we plated our meals, well things did. The garlic supreme I ordered was supposed to have extensive use of garlic .....hmm, I think the chef, and I use the word chef loosely, forgot to add the garlic and the meal was not a good experience. My wife had a rogan josh, well a child 's sized portion anyway as the carton was only two thirds full at best. We also ordered a garlic nan and a peshwari nan, both which were so bland we thought they were just plain nan 's. A nightmare experience which spoilt our night, we won 't ever use the Nobin again, there are far superior restaurants in the area with better customer service. If I could have given no stars I would have done so."

"Hands down the best Indian/Bangladeshi food in all of Bournemouth/Dorset. If you are visiting the area you have to come and try their food. The service is fast and on time, and they will always have a smile on their faces. Great menu, lots of sides and mains to pick from, with lovely flavours. The Atmosphere has lots of warm lighting giving it a cozy feel. Very clean and sanitary. Will be back again!"

"We went there for Sunday brunch to catch up with friends. I must give the place full marks for ambience and live jazz music. Setting is very pretty a mixture of modern western and Indian grandeur. Coming to food itself, drinks menu is very creative especially the way coconut water (currently very trendy) is exploited in various drinks. Starters had great variety -mix of Indian street food (pao bhaji, bhel puri, bhalla, dosa, tikki, paneer tikka, sheekh kebab etc and tasteful. Next comes the mains and that's where the place starts to falter. The lamb kofta was hard as golf balls while chicken xaccuti's chicken was cooked too much and was hard. Haryali fish was nice. "Describing this place as a balti restaurant is misleading, as it actually resembles more of a kebab shop infested with rats. We ordered 3 curries, mixed grills, onion bhajis, and naan breads. Unfortunately, all three curries contained raw chicken, which was in large chunks similar to what you would find on a pizza. The rogan Josh had green peppers and tomato slices that you might expect on a pizza, not in a curry. The mixed grills included hamburger patties and undercooked fried mushrooms. The naan breads were overly greasy and seemed to have been cooked on a flat top stove. The garlic naans had no garlic flavor, just a dated garlic mayo dip. The cheese naan lacked cheese entirely. The food was so oily that it seemed like it was fit for a royalty from Arabian descent. We spent £80 ordering through Just Eat, but received no complimentary poppadoms. We were also asked to pay extra for delivery, and then the delivery driver claimed he couldn't find us and we had to meet him, despite being the only property in our postcode. Overall, this dining experience was extremely disappointing and could likely deter even the most dedicated food enthusiasts."

"had an extremely disappointing visit recently. me and my partner used to love this place! the food is great and the atmosphere is wonderful. however, our server completely ignored my partner when trying to order. they took my order then walked off, completely disregarding my partner. i had to awkwardly call them back over to finish ordering. they then proceeded to not put my partners order in, leaving my partner without food. i had to ask where the dish went then they rudely responded oh . we then had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for my partners food. we were in the restaurant for nearly 2 hours. wish we could have been compensated for our time as the staff offered no apology for this awful experience. its truly a shame as the food here is very tasty but i will not be returning after this."

"Received a delivery last night, the first time I’ve used this restaurant. I’m afraid to say it’s not for me. We had a lamb tikka masala, chilli chicken masala, both violent red colour, with pilau rice, mushroom fried rice and a portion of chips. The food wasn’t bad and the portions were fine and my wife said hers was “ok”. Mine was “ok” too, however I would expect a chilli chicken to have a certain strength, which is why I ask for chillies! Extremely mild with it seemed a background taste of coconut, an ingredient I wouldn’t put int a masala sauce. I did find 3 small chillies in the meal. Pilau rice appeared to be boiled rice with some colouring, no cassia, cloves or cardamom flavours at all. Oh, the chips were tough and seemed old. Ordered via the website, countdown timer showing delivery time. Pointless, doesn’t track the order. Lastly, there was a service charge of 50p as well as delivery charge. I paid cash! If they’re charging for credit/debit card charges, this is illegal."

"I usually order from Pizza Italia without any issues, but recently I feel that their quality has declined. I have never had any problems before, but tonight I ordered a couple of wraps and unfortunately, my tikka wrap was stone cold and my friend's wrap was not hot either. After speaking with the manager, she insisted that the wraps were freshly made, but eventually agreed to replace them. However, when the replacement wraps arrived, I realized that the salad was also hot, indicating that it had been microwaved. I was very disappointed with this experience and although I was willing to forgive their mistake, I was surprised to find out that they had blocked me from ordering again after leaving a review. It seems that Pizza Italia is not open to feedback and opinions, as they continue to block customers for expressing their dissatisfaction. I have raised this issue with Foodhub in hopes of getting a refund and warning others to be cautious when ordering from this petty establishment."
