"We were very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. The manager was having dinner with his friends and seemed to be the main focus of attention for the staff. Our pre-dinner cocktails arrived after our starters, and we were informed just before our mains arrived that there was no cornbread. We had to find our own sauces, napkins, and cutlery. When we asked for the service charge to be removed from our bill, the manager authorized it at the till, but did not bother to come and ask us why we were dissatisfied."

"Disappointing experience. Arrived 1:15 for 1:30 online reservation, shared booking confirmation at front desk only for staff to faff for 10mins searching for wifi connection seating walk ins arriving after us. Unable to find booking we requested a table suitable for young children to be offered a table outside. Once seated, we were left ages waiting to place food order to later find out there was no table service outside. After placing order at bar taking drinks ourselves, we noticed a 12.5% service charge for what? No mention of this at time of payment just asked to bluntly ‘tap your card’. Food arrived was enjoyable but experience was tarnished when they asked for our table back after literally 1 hour. Overall a very disorganised place run by extremely rude management which unfortunately negates the great tasting food. If you’re absolutely starving and after some food near Brockwell Park then head here but only if you’re prepared for all sass and no service!"

"The decor is basic, but everything else about this restaurant was good the hour we needed to come here. From greeting at the door to farewell, hospitality was the first rate. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Your meal begins with a visit to the salad buffet, which has a wide selection of well presented options, but it is good not to fill your dish here because the best comes next. Shortly after returning to your seat, waiters start with long spits with damp, tasty cuts of meat, cooked to perfection and cut it to your instructions. Each spear contains another cut and we had presented various cuts of beef, lamb, pig (and gammon), chicken and sausages over the evening. It's delicious. The waiters come back again and again until you have enough. You can stick to some kind of meat or try everything. It's the dream of a carnivore. If you manage to leave space, you can follow this with one of the Brazilian desserts. It is a good idea to plan quickly for the next day because you are not hungry. It is highly recommended. We come back regularly."

"I recently visited Smoky Boys and was thoroughly impressed. The chips with Cajun salt were a delightful start—crispy and seasoned to perfection. The Smokey Bad Boy Burger (beef) lived up to its reputation, with the Bad Boy Suicide Sauce adding a fiery kick that made each bite irresistible. At £15 for both the fries and burger, it was money well spent. I'll definitely be returning again and again for this flavorful experience."

"I went with my boyfriend for a meal around 21:30 pm, we ordered some chicken and it was ready really quick, so around 21:45 , we had our meals on the table, we were eating and the gentleman at the till came to tell us that they were closing by 22:00 pm, so we started eating very quickly. I did not say anything as I understand they were closing. At 22:00, he said to me: Madam, it 's 22:00 and I said: I am sorry I am finishing as I dont devour food and I cannot finish the whole food in 15 minutes and I questioned him why he did not mention when we ordered the food, otherwise we would not have sat in the table, he said to me: stop eating, you need to go, you should know. So this gentleman assumed that I knew what time the restaurant was closing, I could not finish my meal as I had to leave half on the plate and he was shouting at me. The customer service is extremely poor, If I treat someone like the way he treated me in my job, I would be fired. He has no manners, I do not understand how these kind of people are allowed to work with people. THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTHY AT ALL."

"Tried here last night after reading and hearing great reviews. We were not dissapointed. This place is great and the food is awesome. Used the website for a collection at 10.45pm. great site, food ready on time and staff lovely. Ordered mexican burger and seasoned curly fries and the other half had a spicy chicken burger and piri fries both were great and we will defo be back soon."

"So this review covers the two nights in a row that we visited this restaurant whilst visiting Glasgow. So glad to have done a lucky dip using my Google search This restaurant is unique in terms of decor, bells on table to request service and vast menu of excellent food and staff being a variety of nationaloties.... Orders taken on a tablet device. On both visits, service was impeccable, a little slow on second visit as quite busy but nothing intolerable. Very reasonably priced. Parking a little bit of an issue when restaurant as well as surrounding area of units busy On our first visit we had Gol Gappa/Pani Puri and Meat Samosa Chaat as Starters. Mains we went for Aloo Keema with Chapattis and for Dessert we had the house special Kulfi Falooda. Gol Gappas were fresh, crispy and delicious, as were the accompaniments. Samaosa Chat was delicious together as was the samosa itself too. Keema Aloo was freshly cooked, good balance of spice and flavour and the potatoes just made it come together perfectly eating it with the soft and delicious Chapattis cooked on the Tawa. For dessert we had the huge glass filled with Kulfi and Falooda. Very heavy, lots of it but delicious! Definitely not for one person, 3 of us just managed to finish it! On the second visit we decided to go for Puri as starter served with Halwa and Chana. Mains we just went went for the lamb biryani. Bit of a wait, understandable as busy and such a diverse menu. Wow, Puris were freshly made soft greasy deliciousness! Chana was also very good as was the Halwa that we decided to share as Dessert. The Lamb Biryani was ok along with the raita etc with it, we were a little underwhelmed. In fairness, I think it may be something to do with the place we went to ealrier that evening for Tea and seeing posters of the street food style Nalli Biryani wetting our appetites too much! So in conclusion, very impressed with Ambala Restaurant overall. Keep up the good work, food and general high standard. Will definitely visit again when next in Glasgow as such a vast menu and one of the things I definitely want to try is the house special Lamb Shinwari."

"Excellent food at Yildiz and highly recommend! We enjoyed the lamb kofta, the Yildiz special salad, and the calamari and we were not expecting the amount of beautifully presented food including such colourful, stunning salads. The koftas/kebabs come with a bowl of delicious fresh pittas, a superb side salad with marinated onions and pickled red cabbage, and some rice. The calamari was juicy and fresh, and the Yildiz salad was enormous with really juicy delicious cubes of feta. It exceeded all expectations and was thoroughly delicious (and so filling). The menu is extensive, and caters really well to vegetarians vegans, and all the allergens are flagged on the menu (such as molluscs or gluten). The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu."
