The Florence - Menu

I love this place board games, camein, beer garden nice staff no fuss! great place to relax with a good whisky or pint! we go to the place with our puppies! I'll see you there.

the food lasted long, in fairness it was Sunday and the place was quite full. 1 article never made it on the table and a lot of elements of the frying where a bit cold when we got them.

Food was incredible, great atmosphere and decor inside. Staff in the dining area only really came over when we asked them, and had to be prompted over lots of things. Quite honestly would have been quicker and easier to order at the bar. Otherwise a great afternoon

On Sunday the place was really busy. We waited almost an hour for our meal to arrive, why not 5 stars. The food was lovely and the staff very friendly. We were offered a free dessert because of the wait which we declined, but it was a lovely gesture. We will be returning, hopefully not as busy next time.

Every time we were here, the service was impeccable!! Large top shelf selection of minds and employees who know exactly what you are looking for, they are amazing! Food is served later than most pubs and is better than local restaurants! (10.30) Cake!!! Always look forward to my visits here as we take care of The Florence!

I went to the Florence for dinner with a friend on a Friday evening. The garden door was constantly being opened by other diners and left open so it was really cold inside, I kept my coat on in the end. Another negative was that whilst I was chatting to my friend one of the waiters continuously dropped biscuits on the floor for my puppy without checking if I was okay with it- I think she ate about 7 big biscuits in the end, which made for anxious evening hoping she wouldn’t have an accident! Food was okay but not remarkable.

the image of the mojito speaks for itself £ 8.95 for a mojito from a dose, which also tasted exactly the same as the excessively sweet lid mojito, was not even poured onto the top, with dead rotting mint. I would have been embarrassed to serve a customer, the mint looked like (some) the staff unbuttered. because it was not filled to a reasonable level in the glass, it looks as if they are used to fill 2 glasses and they calculate £17.90 for it. some (not all) of the personal looked like they were really sad to be there, not sure if they simply should not stand in a customer with the roll or whether higher management they hate their job. this kind of...read more

I decided to take my mum on a lunch date to the Florence and we were quite disappointed. We were expecting flavoursome food and quality service but unfortunately we didn’t receive that. The whole mood was really nice, there were quite a few family gatherings so it was buzzing. The service when it was given was lovely but it’s just a shame it took forever to be served and for the food and even drinks to arrive. We ordered the burger and chips and to say it was bland is me being nice. The burger had no flavour whatsoever even though it had a small dab of mayo and the chips lacked salt. Disappointing experience. Arrived 1:15 for 1:30 online reservation, shared booking confirmation at front desk only for staff to faff for 10mins searching for wifi connection seating walk ins arriving after us. Unable to find booking we requested a table suitable for young children to be offered a table outside. Once seated, we were left ages waiting to place food order to later find out there was no table service outside. After placing order at bar taking drinks ourselves, we noticed a 12.5% service charge for what? No mention of this at time of payment just asked to bluntly ‘tap your card’.
