"Afternoon tea booked as part of a colleagues baby shower booked several weeks before event and notified of one gluten free tea, reassured this wasn’t a problem. On the day lettuce tomatoe and cucumber sandwich’s and wafer this turkey. Served in gf bread...cut in half on a small plate. chocolate gluten free muffins also put in front of me. These were warm and wet in the middle with a very dry exterior. I tried a mouthful and left the rest. No tea served we were told this hadn’t been booked. That was it for I spent a further on g&t,s served in large glass with ice cubes and nothing else. Emailed manager next day and received unsatisfactory explanation and heard nothing since. Rest of party NOT impressed with their afternoon tea-less tea either. Will not visit again or recommend visit at your peril. We just felt utterly ripped off and then some!"

"We had a little boy who needed a high chair and the first table that had been reserved for us was sitting with the high chair far too close to a roaring log fire. Unfortunately the other tables originally offered were too high as I have had two back operations. So my husband asked if there was another room. We were then taken into the Restaurant which was only being used for some sample wine tasting being offered by a supplier to the Fox. After that everything was perfect. Food was delicious and plentiful. Staff were excellent too."
