"We arrived in the restaurant and were seated at our table. The room was extremely cold, so much so none of our party of 7 could take their coats off. The waitress informed us the heating was broken and had been so for the last week. The waitress took our drinks order and left to sort it. She returned within a few minutes to inform us they only had enough wine for one small glass of wine for our party. Not the best start to our Christmas celebrations. The manager came over to inform is that there was nothing he could do about the heating as the company were waiting for a part and he wasn 't allowed to pre-warn customers or buy portable heaters. I was so annoyed that we were not told of this situation prior to our visit. We had to keep our coats on throughout the meal and had to eat our food extremely quickly before the food went cold. The evening was not enjoyable and spoilt our friends get-together, which was a shame as some of our party had travelled from Wales for it. We we not offered even a free hot drink and think they really need to sort out their 'Customer Service ' skills, after all, without customers they have no business to run. I would REALLY AVOID a visit to this restaurant any time soon."

"The service was absolutely lovely—really couldn't fault it! The food was delicious as well. The only downside was that there were only two high chairs available, so we had to wait for a table to leave before we could get one. The wait for the food was a bit longer than expected, but it’s not a problem if you’re not in a rush! I will definitely be coming back."

"Lovely decor using the old banks charm with amazing chandeliers. Friendly staff and fantastic food. Went on a Thursday and had a guitarist playing who was very good an not too loud! Food and wine prices very reasonable. Would definitely go again, but Friday and Saturday could be very crowded and noisy if you wanted a quiet meal"
"I've told many a Londoner about Robin Gill's superb restaurants in Clapham Common, but several including the Michelin judges seem to think it's too far out of their way. More fool them. Now that he's set up shop in a trendy East London railway arch, next door to Mission and Mother Kelly's, and down the road from Typing Room and Peg Patriot, Clapham abstainers might take notice. As at the aforementioned sister restaurants, there is an outstanding tasting menu available at all times for 45, tempting a la carte options split up in to Snacks, Garden, Sea, Land and Dessert, and a ludicrous lunch deal of four courses for 25 every Wed Fri from 12 3pm. One exciting new development is the...read more"

"This was our 2nd time eating here. We frequently go for drinks there too. The first meal (dinner)we had was fantastic quality from start to finish. This lunch was disappointing. I had the dish of the day which was a cod pasta dish. It was smoked cod which the waitress hadn’t explained. It was quite a small portion the pasta was totally over cooked flat squashed penne pasta tubes. Not a lot of cod. The flavour of the dish was good though. My husband had the turkey ham roast of the day which was fine. Nothing special."
