"we had a nice Sunday dinner at the wheelwright arms. alasdair and the staff were excellent. we are getting to a busy Sunday. we were warmly welcomed and nothing was too much effort throughout the whole meal. the atmosphere was relaxed and yet very professional. the food was excellent and much of it and they will not be hungry after home! a great dog-friendly pub that is an additional bonus. we will be back and hopefully be classified as regular one day. thanks back to the team and we hope that they will go from strength to strength. oh and the choice of the background music was 10/10!"

"Hanoi Cafe is quite under rated. It doesn't stand out from the rest. It was recommended on my recent trip to London by a French girl we just met who eats there often. It has a homely setup and nothing too fancy. The menu is quite extensive and there should be something for everyone. "It’s the second time I came to Nem Nem and service /food have gone downhill like a Chinese rocket. The place was empty and they didn’t serve cocktails (they could have informed us beforehand! . The waiter cleared our table without checking if we had finished (and no we haven’t finished our food!!!! ! That was simply rude and unprofessional esp the restaurant wasn’t busy and it’s not like we are hanging around for 3hrs. There are plenty of authentic Vietnamese restaurants in shoreditch at much better value. I can only wish them luck."

"We visited here for a family dinner on my daughters recommendation, service was good food was served fairly quickly although it was not served together as requested. Food was tasty, good home comforting food. Quite noisy but obviously that depends on who else is dining at the same time.My starter of paprika chicken pancake was tasty but only warm rather than hot but maybe it's meant to be. "recently after the change of property my family went to dinner in the Korean restaurant and the workers, eating, presentation was super and atmosphere were full of traces! each individual dish had this authentic Korean taste that I know from experience (as I lived in uk over 20 years and Korea visited every couple of years! that I could only get them from korea alone, but this restaurant is all from Britain. I had a tofu stew/soup, with dolsot bibimbab and glazed. I finished every single dish completely without rest! will visit again in the future. Thank you."

"Terrible is the only way to describe this restaurant. We really want it to work, as they made an effort with the decor. It's our third meal and last at this establishment until they get a new chef. I ordered steak, medium rare. It was well done. My wife ordered lamb medium, it was ****. The blood ran into the cous-cous, which was totally bland. Not a pretty sight. We were prepared to give constructive criticism, but no one asked about our food experience. They were slow in collecting our finished plates. Their mobile phones seemed more important than the guests. There are too many good restaurants and pubs in St.Albans to ever need to go back. It's sad but they need to up their game to another level, or they will be finished."

"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant was empty so I can't comment on the atmosphere. The staff were very nice and friendly. We ordered a fry-up which was okay. My 11-year-old daughter ordered the small ribs for £8 as part of a weekday special. Unfortunately, she was disappointed as she only received 4 mini ribs that were mostly fat, so I had to cook her dinner when we got home. The desserts were small for the price we paid. Our bill ended up being quite expensive for what we received. It's a shame because the restaurant seems like a nice pub."

"the restaurant of the pilgerhotel is its typical, friendly, neutral, on-the-posh side restaurant. so I was surprised to find a clearly displayed vegan option on their menu "pilgrim’s pie a light, beautiful veggie dish. Beyond that, the staff had arrived unbelievably, even to give me advice on what kind of beer and apple wine were suitable for vegans (without asking me at all)! I did not get the impression that they are used to get a lot of vegan customers, but they were really considerate. I would definitely recommend this place to go with people who eat everything (read: I went here with my mother)"

"We went to this restaurant for brunch on Sunday. Unfortunately, we only managed to get a table at 1:30pm, when brunch was about to end at 3:00pm. As a result, there were very few options left to choose from. The selection was quite limited, especially for breakfast items. The potatoes were almost gone, and there were no more muffins or potato buffers available. The advertisement mentioned that there would be meat and fish options for brunch, but the only meat available was pork trunks and small roast pieces. The only fish option was salmon to be eaten with bread. The sausages looked like they had been sitting out for a while. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for brunch."

"We stumbled upon this amazing old pub that had low ceilings in some areas. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the manager was great. Despite it not being close to us, we drove 50 minutes to get there and were so glad we did not leave disappointed.
