"Having been a loyal customer of Yongs for many years, my family and I used to enjoy their delicious Chinese takeaway. However, our recent experience on Christmas Eve was disappointing as most of the food we ordered ended up in the bin. The quality of the food has declined, with the formerly chunky Chinese chips now being just plain old chips that can be found anywhere. Even more concerning was the chicken in the chow mein dish, which had a grey color and foul smell, indicating that it was likely bad or off. Despite giving Yongs another chance recently, we experienced the same issue and have decided to no longer order from them. It is unfortunate that the quality has deteriorated, and I would advise others to avoid this takeaway if they prefer their Chinese food fresh."

"great atmosphere, delicious food, helpful staff. we really enjoyed this place, the owners recommended were the best. the ribs were excellent. we all had noodles of different kind, he even changed a menu item to meet our request! missing on the Korean barbq, but we will be back in the mai when it starts again. the main entrance is flat and accessible, the second door could open for a wheelchair if necessary. it is obviously a well-used device and they can say it. it could have been a little cleaner, with more carefree in general, therefore the missing 5th star from this review. otherwise a great place. had no chance to taste the cocktails or the wineable, but that only means we're coming back!"

"Authentic Hong Kong restaurant serving big portions of delicious food. The owners are from Hong Kong and they run a no frills restaurant focusing on quality dishes with fresh ingredients and not overusing seasonings. They were accommodating for our special needs son in a wheelchair and made space for us in their small eating area. They were attentive to our needs and checked in on us throughout our meal. We felt genuine care from the owners and had a friendly interaction with them. As for the food, we had the stir fried beef with whole green beans, stewed beef tendon, stir fried beef rice noodles, and some blanched lettuce. We like our food with less seasoning and they were happy to oblige. We are happy to support this small local business and highly recommend this restaurant. It's close to the York Minster and away from the more touristy part of town."

"We ordered takeaway to be delivered to our hotel, and these people are not very intelligent. First, they did not reference our room number, so the food sat in reception for a while. Second, they did not add any utensils to the order even though we requested utensils on the notes. And last, the food was awful. Worst Chinese food we ever had… no flavor… not even salt… totally bland. Don’t order here…"

"Just ordered from the Mayfair menu at 4.45pm Friday 30/04/2021 house special curry large chicken chow mien sweet and sour chicken balls 2x pancake rolls chips food ready within 10 mins complimentary bottle of coke prawn crackers beautifully fresh hot fantastic portion great price fantastic taste beef in the house curry succulent and tender cooked perfectly a lovely meal authentic cooking we live very close to this Chinese and are very impressed with the food after using a different Chinese for over 25 years I feel as though we’ve been missing out YOU MUST TRY this place huge pancake rolls food for two days big portions pleasant service 10/10 sweet and sour source is to die for hope the chef stays very satisfied will be using this take away from now on!!!"
