"Was recommended this place by colleagues and friends, thought I'd give it a try. Upon entering, there was nobody there to assist us to our tables (made reservations prior) so we had to search for someone to get us a table. I ordered the 18oz Iron steak, which was ok, nothing great but not too bad either. I found that the food was overpriced for it to be simply medicore in fact. I ordered a vanilla cheesecake for dessert, it seemed like it was taken out of the fridge straight away and had a very funny damp taste to it- if that makes sense at all. It did not taste fresh or good at all. Was horrible. The Mojitos ordered were bland mostly comprising of ice ratio and less drink- therefore just tastes like bitter water. Overrall, the food was below mediocre and kind of overpriced. On the bright side, the view is nice as its situated on the Westferry riverside overlooking the river Thames. Further, the ambience was good, but that depends if you like loud music and large crowds of noise. Would not be returning here again unfortunately."

"Our first time but defo won’t be our last. Sunday roast was lovely, well cooked, plenty of meat and a varied assortment of trimmings, we didn’t need to order any extra sides the selection we were given as standard was plenty. The staff were very careful to accommodate a food allergy, ensuring they understood exactly the allergy in question. We did have an issue with our bill when drinks from another party had been added by accident. This was resolved and the manager handled it well. Mistakes do happen but it’s how you rectify them which matters so well done to The Hive, we look forward to returning very soon."

"My friend and I had a quick dinner here before going to a gig at Sheperds Bush Empire last week. The 2 for 1 cocktail deal was great (note: before 7pm). We ordered chips with guac and salsa which were very good and the fish tacos and chicken tacos. The food was really yummy, although you don't get much with each dish so I would recommend ordering a few things per person. The only real down side to our meal was when we made a second order from our waitress (when we realized it wasn't enough food). We ordered very clearly but she got it completely messed up. Two salsas came that we had not ordered we simply asked for two more of the dips we had already had. And only one quesadilla came when we had asked for two. A different waitress helped us sort out the problem and she was very kind and helpful (an American girl). We did find it a bit odd that she took away the salsas that were ordered wrong, rather then just ask if we wanted to keep them as a courtesy of us having to wait for the correct ones. Overall though, the food tasted great, the margaritas were yummy and the place itself was very cute."

"Absolutely LOVE this place. Best food we've ever had in Huddersfield. We've been a fair few times too and It never has an off day. The food is exceptional! Always lovely staff and the owner is brilliant. Good fun and gave me a baileys for my birthday. Definitely our favourite place Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40"

"We decided to eat here as everywhere else was fully booked on a Wednesday !! And I must admit we were impressed. Firstly there covid set up was first class from first entering the pub to leaving. What was really good to see was the...attention to cleaning both the table and seat before seating us !! Now the food ... From the onset we were told that they had run out of certaain veg etc ... This although disappointing was refreshing as well because we picked our food accordingly. The lady had steak and chips with salad etc and I had the blackened salmon with crushed potatoes and a summer salad and I also got garlic bread ... I must admit the salmon was perfectly cooked and went well with the salad etc. The steak was cooked to my ladies liking and we both thoroughly enjoyed the meal and drinks. This place is worth a visit as I felt safe that all steps to keep the place clean had been taken "
