"Lovely place in the Dukes hotel tried to go for a drink first in the bar but there was no where to sit and people waiting outside so a good tip prebook the bar and the restaurant although the restaurant was very quiet all evening so another tip don’t book because they take a £25 per head deposit if you don’t give a few days notice to cancel, so if you were sick on the day either turn even if you had Covid or lose your deposit Food was great and all dishes come as small or large plates so you mix and match your starters and mains, the wine prices can be a little lively, £65 for a Pinot Grigio really! But the French house wine and Italian red were a good price. Service was great but there were only a few guests. To serve so it should be."

"Even though we had a reservation, they initially claimed they couldn't find it. However, they were accommodating and managed to arrange a table for us. Our order of seven drinks took a bit longer than expected, and while the latte art didn’t quite match the impressive photos on their website, the coffee itself was delicious. They also forgot to bring the water we requested and missed one of the cakes we ordered, but overall, we had an enjoyable visit."

"I recently visited a fantastic local coffee shop that has been recently renovated and looks very stylish! The dining area has a modern and contemporary feel, with clearly displayed vegan options and freshly made sandwiches and paninis available. I decided to try the Christmas white flour bap with vegan sausages, stuffing, and cranberry sauce, and it was delicious and filling. The sausages in the bap were of good quality and they were generous with their portions. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that vegan butter was used and taking precautions to prevent cross-contamination by adding extra foil on the counter. I was very impressed by their attention to detail and can't wait to return!"

"Today, it seemed like the staff at this restaurant were in a bad mood and seemed to dislike the customers. They ignored the queue, chatted and laughed among themselves, and then looked at us as if we were inconveniencing them. It was by far the worst out of the 14 cafes in the town center. The other cafes are putting in more effort and providing better service."

"the restaurant was a little quiet, but soon a bit filled. Now I have to say if they are looking for a party atmosphere, thirty six is not the place for them, although it is ideal for a relaxed and quiet night and the perfect place for taking the elders. tori and I would like the new rustic menu with an amuse bouche by apfel and sellerie suppe. the suppe was delicious creamy and the perfect way to warm my dicks from the icy cold night. it was accompanied by two fluffy mini-loaves that had a beautiful crust. I have to admit that I thought the menu was a little limited, as there were only four options for the starter and four for the main, but happy for us we saw some of our favorite dishes available. tori chose the white crab with avocado and pink grapefruit, a very light fresh and cesty dish. the court is actually more reflective for the kindness of the cook; nigel mendham grew up in norfolk and spent his summer on the beach clam picking and crawling and then he would return to home to cook with his mother. nigel has drawn inspiration from the background in norfolk for the dishes on the menu."

"Booked a table for lunch but arrived a little early which was no problem at all. We were shown to our reserved table where we ordered a lovely cooked full English breakfast. The Service was good and the breakfast was delicious! The coffee was lovely, it hit the spot on such a cold morning. We weren't rushed although the restaurant was busy. "Perfect New Years Hot Pot Delivery I’ve never been to Dentons Deli before and saw them advertising Cottams hot pot delivered baked to your door on New Years Eve ... well that seemed like an opportunity too good to be true for a busy mum of 4.. "If you're in search of a spot to find super healthy, organic, and vegan food, then this little café is the place to be. Located in the Grassmarket, directly under the DanceBase, the refrigerators are stocked with salads, quinoa, sweet bowls, smoothies, health dishes, juices, and more. The space is small with only 3 tables that can accommodate up to 10 people, but it's popular for midday takeaways. I initially stopped in for a coffee with almond milk, soy, or coconut milk alternative, but I overheard that they were serving a peanut curry for lunch. I must say, the peanut curry with brown rice was fantastic. It was filling, hearty, and healthy. The carrots and chickpeas in the curry were flavorful, and the rice had a rich nutty taste. It was the perfect meal for a rainy day in Edinburgh. While it may be a bit pricey, the quality of the food makes it worth it."
